De ansatte var vennlige, rommet stort og velutstyrt, men nabolaget var 'skummelt' - særlig for en som ikke hadde med bil og som i påvente av flyavgang måtte oppholde seg i og rundt hotellet nesten et døgn

"Close and got a cigar"
The Motel was located kitty-corner to Knotts Berry Farm where my girlfriend and I were to spend Saturday and Sunday enjoying a pre-summer getaway. Everything went as planned. We arrived Friday evening in time to get into bed with minimal check in delays. The lite breakfast met our needs to eat, drink and hit the roller coasters at 10:00 AM Saturday. […] Our mid day break allowed us to unwind by the clean pool and jacuzzi before going back to the amusement park. We extended our stay another evening and plan on coming back for we bought season passes to the park. It was right on and an exceptional value. This hotel was super close to Knott's Berry Farm, which was perfect because we were up early to run the Knott's 10k. However, unless I was running it again, I would not stay here! It was clean-ish, but everything looked like it hadn't been updated/changed for about 25 years- furnishings clearly dated back to the mid/late 80's; the kitchen area smelled […] like fish and while it wasn't dirty per se, it had that run down look of just being WAY past its prime. The whole room was pretty much like that; I honestly can't say that it was dirty, but it FELT dirty because everything looked so old and greasy; needed updating big time. Les mer

Our hotel was quite exceptionable and very clean. The staff was also extremely polite.

For some reason this motel caters to a low class clientele and lots of late night noise and noise in the parking lot that tends to interrupt a good nights sleep. I know a motel cannot control this entirely but you get the idea when they close the iron gate to the lobby area that they have had problems before. this hotel has sticky hallwy carpet, unvacuumed room carpet, numerous "littl black curly hairs" around the bathroom, and, in the bed. The hair dryer didnt even work. Lastly, this dump is actually about a half mile from the gates into kotts berry farm, not close as the name suggests.

The AC is not continous. Front desk says that per policy that it regulates temp & it turns off. Well, the room was extremely hot and the AC turns on/off every 30 mins. The room was not vacuumed. The phone doesn't work so I had to go to the Front Desk 7 times and when they turned it on it kept ringing and ringing afterwards but still no dial tone. It […] took 7 trips to the Front desk & 1 phone call using my cell phone that I finally asked to change rooms. My poor kids were too tired as it was past 9pm when we moved. This inn was different from the San Diego Rodeway Inn in which that one I would recommend but not this one. Les mer
"ICK!!!!!"
ICK.. so I was on a non smoking floor (every door had non-smoking room) and all you coiuld smell was smoke. The building is old and dingy. I'm giving 2 stars because the staff was nice but I wouldnt stay here again. Everything was just run down. The WIFI never worked and they had 3 accounts.

This was our 2nd stay at this hotel. Great location and clean rooms. Breakfast is VERY minimal.

Walking distance to Knotts; IHOP next door (delicious and great service); friendly staff. Our special needs grandson locked the bathroom door and they came immediately to unlock. Continental breakfast is VERY basic, good coffee. Microwave, fridge, small coffee maker, ironing board, hair dryer and internet access in the room.

Hotel is very convenienty located. near the Knott's berry farm, shopping mall and many food outlets. Hotel Room is spacious and well maintenance. Breakfast is abpve average for its class. staff are helpful and nice. although the manager may not smile a lot but when approach he is helpful.
The only issue we had was that the wifi didn't work in our room. We could connect in the hall right outside, but once we steppedin the room it would disconnect. Everything else was good.

Great room if you just need a place to rest your head after a day of being a tourist. Clean and basic 2 Queen room. Pool and hot tub are nice ... cool little bar a couple of doors down if you want to end the night with a cocktail. If you're going to knott;s you are literally a block away and you can save the $$ from parking & buy a souvenir. I liked this property simply for the location, otherwise I would have been disappointed. Our room was not ready when we arrived after 3:00 in the afternoon. The desk staff was not very helpful and seemed disinterested. The bed came undone simply by sitting on it and had to be re-made. The toilet paper was so thin I could have read the newspaper through […] it. The paint needed some attention. The mattresses felt as if they were the $99.00 "re-vamped" ones you can get at the Salvation Army thrift store. I would recommend this property based on the location only. Cant ask for more for a 2 star hotel. Quiet and close to both parks. Easy to walk to Knotts and 5 min. drive to Disneyland. Service in hotel was okay. Man in front desk was not friendly at all. Girl on the weekend was very helpful. Beds were okay and room was clean and air conditioner worked great.

"Rodeway inn Nr Knotts Berry Farm"
i booked the hotel for the convenience of Knotts Berry Farm. I stayed with my two boys (11,9) the room was adequate, the breakfast was very limited but there is an iHop next door!! The hotel was nearer to knotts Berry Farm then the car park itself was!! A swimming pool on site was good. it was in the shade from about 2 o'clock onwards. Towels were provided […] but were very small, better to bring your own. There was a BBQ area that i never used but there was a family reunion there that used it and they appeared to be very happy. All in all you get what you pay for. very basic throughout but location to restaurants and Knotts Berry Farm could not be bettered. I would stay there again. Les mer
"bed looked like someone died on the bed"
my first room bed had a huge "what looked like a blood stain or huge pee mark" the hotel front desk service sucked, i asked a simple question only to have the man tell me that he wished he could have that also, i asked for a clean room and for my 2nd night to be in the same room that was clean, after reconsideration its not even a 2 star hotel

"convient to Knott's Berry"
That's about all I can say... beds were uncomfortable. people could smoke in and around the building so even though rooms are smoke free smoke comes into the room firm the AC. AC worked great though on a very hot day. towels were the worst I have ever had. I went for cheap and that's what I got.

I read other reviews and I laugh at people's expectations of a hotel which is cheapest by far, and literally across the street from the park. My only complaint is that the maid service forgot to give us new styrofoam cups, towels, and soap --frustrating considering we actually left them a $3 tip! Stayed at this hotel due to its proximity to Knotts Berry Farm. I had a good experience overall, service was pretty good, room was clean, location was great. Could have easily walked to the park and to several good restaraunts in the area.

I took the kids with me to stay here while we went ot Knottsberry farm. It's a 10 min walk to the front gate and they have a fridge in room and microwave which really helps with meals. they were remodeling and ready to put new carpet down but the place really was taken care of. So hats off to Rodeway!!
I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone! All I can say is ROACHES on the ceilling & picture to prove it !

You can not beat the location or the price. Be prepared for the customer service given by manager/owner ? Lovely heavy set women who also works front desk is EXCLUDED from this criticism. Upon check in with another family I was thrown her license and keys from the seated man at the computer. I stopped them from sliding off the other side onto the floor, […] handed them to the other customer then proceeded with my check in. Upon check out our keys were deactivated before 11 a.m. preventing us from getting our last piece of luggage ! Location is good because it is near restaurants, the buena park mall, and knotts berry farm. However, customer service was okay. The room looked clean, but truly wasnt. The location is walking distance from Knott's Berry Farm. The rooms were clean and in good condition. Beds could be more comfortable but that isn't unusual. They didn't provide enough sundries for the four of us, though. Overall, though the price was reasonable for the service provided.

"Great for Knotts and stuff, but..."
First off, this is only a 2 star hotel, and you get what you pay for, so don't expect the world's finest. That fact aside I won't nit-pic too much about all the little things, but focus first on the biggest plus: It is practically across the street from Knotts Berry Farm. Add to the fact that Pirate Adventures and Medieval Times are both down the street, […] and you can fit a lot of fun into a week. The room was clean, but make sure your door shuts all the way. Ours never did unless we pulled it, and some guy down the hall left his room in a hurry and I saw his door didn't latch shut (I quickly shut it for him). Seems that the rooms are outfitted with those sensors that turn lights on and off automatically, but our room setup was interesting. The switch in the bathroom had an override on it (can leave it off), but the one by the door didn't. Middle of the night the sensor picked up movement from me rolling over in bed and the light came on. Kinda spooked and annoyed me. I learned a trick, if faced with this situation cover the sensor with a towel, and prop the ironing board against it to keep it in place, no unexpected light in the middle of the night. A word on the towels, bring your own, you probably already knew they might be a little on the scratchy side. One of the front desk staff acted like he couldn't be bothered to help replace the coffee maker that decided to stop working, and also seemed to give my wife attitude when she asked for a new packet of coffee that the cleaning staff had forgotten to leave in the room after they were done cleaning (wasn't our fault they forgot). Breakfast is sparse (toast, OJ, muffins, coffee, cereal, & milk), but its something. If you require more, IHOP is next door and McDonalds is across the street. Despite sounding negative, we would probably stay again if we went back to Knotts, After all, when you are visiting the sites all you are really need is a place to sleep, and the bed wasn't too bad! The guess rep was so nice and wanted to make sure we were happy and comfortable. We asked for a room on the 2nd floor and he gave just that to us. The only drawback was that the breakfast was very small (muffins/toast/cereal) however big crowds were eating everything in site! They need to add fruit and waffles maybe? Juices? "If you like hard beds, it's perfect."
Upon check-in, the man at the desk said we didn't pay yet. He wanted us to pay a second time, but thankfully he found our payment. Once we got to the room it appeared nice, however, looks can be deceiving. The beds were hard as boards and the pillows were as thin as a light quilt. Also don't misplace a towel because you could be charged for it. Keep […] your eyes open because you could get spit on while going to get ice by people on the balcony.
