Good apartment for a family of four to spend a few days in Helsinki. Good central location to walk / tram to major venues. Kitchen a little limited if you were going to cook an evening meal but good to do breakfasts / lunch.

Good. 10 mins walk to the city centre or one tram stop.10 mins in the other direction the sea.On your doorstep was the natural history museum, Music Centre, couple of nice restaurants, bars and an established Jazz club (3 euro admission) Nice building, well appointed, felt safe, internet computer available in the foyer for free use by residents.

The rooms was great. Very clean and well decorated. Was in a great location. Less then a 10 minute walk from central Helsinki and the train station.

Practical and easy to get to. This is basically an apartment hotel. My room was clean and comfortable upon arrival. Furniture is a little out of date, and some of the facilities are a bit old, but otherwise no complaints. Send you a message with a code to the hotel entrance if you arrive past 9 pm, a long with the code to a little locker which contains […] you key. The hotel was located just a short walk away from the Finnair City Bus stop (Hesperia Park), the Music Centre, and about a 10-minute walk from the main railway station and the Forum and Kamppi shopping stores. There are four spacious aparmtents to a floor, giving the place a very cozy feel. The kitchen was well-equipped with utensils, pots/pans, coffee […] maker and hot water pot, large paper towel and large garbage bags were provided, the TV had a selection of about a dozen channels (CNN, CNBC, NHK World, etc.), and there was even a direct phone line to the room. Internet was through WLAN. The reception desk is open only on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., but if you are not in need of 24/7 service, this should not inconvenience you at all. Cleaning is twice a week, but if you think about how most people live at home, that should not be a big deal. You can take out the garbage between cleaning days if necessary. There is a beverage vending machine at the entrance, laundry is free of charge (if you provide your own detergent). My room on the top floor was facing the park across the street and the National Museum a block away. On snowy mornings, the snow-covered branches of the tress in the park painted a classic wintry landscape. I am extremely satisfied with my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel, especially if you are staying for a few days and like the convenience of being able to take care of yourself even when traveling. This is a very easy set of apartments to stay in. Apts quite large and very quiet area. Very close to Finlandia Centre and walking distance to town centre. Arrived on Sunday when reception is not open (closed on Saturdays as well) but taxi driver helped me get in touch with 24/7 reception. Electronic card was waiting for me. Our hotel room was upgraded to a slightly larger one because they were out of the rooms we had booked. The room was large! Had a kitchenette and a living space. The hotel also has a two washer and dryers in the basement you can use for free. There's a sign up sheet on top of the machines, just bring detergent. Although some guests may leave theirs there […] for you to use when they leave. We walked to eveything from here; it was very conveniently located. The front desk is not available 24/7 if you need help with travel plans, but they do speak English. Overall, a good experience. Les mer

Arrived from Helsinki Airport on Finnair bus having stopped a couple of streets away. Only 5 mins walk with suitcases from the stop opposite the Scandic Hotel on Mannerheimvagen. Good welcome. Good location just 15 mins walk from centre of Helsinki, 20 mins from the Olympic Stadium. Quiet location in a clean, safe environment - kid's play park 1 minute […] from the front door. Nearby supermarkets where you can get breakfast food (turn left o/s front door to end of Museokatu/junc with Runeberginkatu - 5 mins walk. You can also get the 'tourist 3B/3T tram' on Runeberginkatu). The apartment was clean, the kitchen area had all we needed - kettle, coffee maker, microwave and 2 ring hob. Breakfast was the most economical part of our stay in Helsinki. Beds were comfortable. We were able to use the left luggage in the basement at the end of our break. Had a 10 night stay at this apartment / hotel. Arrived after midnight so had to use codes supplied by the hotel to enter as the reception was closed. Everything was in place as described in the correspondence. Had a studio apartment which was clean, spacious, well supplied in terms of utensils, fridge, cooking hob and convection cooker. No air conditioning […] but a small fan was supplied. It was mid July but the weather was temperate and when warm an open window sufficed. The streets were generally quite. The apartment overlooked a small park area with it's main bay window. The location was superb, in a quiet street just a couple of blocks away from the parliament building and the main shopping area. A small supermarket down the road could supply any food for the apartment, and the nearby shopping area had all the restaurants. Across the street a small cafe could supply most breakfast requirements, though it may be full at popular eating times. A nearby popular jazz bar offered good music and an outside terrace for late evening snacks and a drink. Often live music was on offer. The accommodation was run more like serviced apartments, guest were generally left to their own devices, the young reception staff provided service gladly with a smile when asked however. In fact I found the Finnish people whom served me throughout my stay of a similar disposition. I would recommend this accommodation for all those whom don't feel the need of concierge experience. This is a lovely 1912-13 apartment building which has been converted into a hotel. It's very charming with jugendstil period details. Our 'room' was a large suite with a fully equipped kitchenette. The neighborhood is excellent, and an easy 10 minute walk to downtown. I will go back anytime.

It is a appartemet hotel, living room bedroom kitchen facility - well equipped and shower. If you do look for a hotel with privacy and are willing to do the bed and keep the room in order by yoursefl then it is the choice. Next to the parliament, walking distance to the centre and to public transport. Free Internet

We enjoyed our stay although there was a public holiday during our 3 days and the office was not manned.The office hours are Monday to Friday only which was a bit limiting in some aspects.A basic hotel at least 15 minute walk out of downtown Helsinki not helped by a member of staff marking our Map incorrectly! This is a self maintenance hotel in a great quiet location near main tram and bus connections.No luxuries. Reasonable week-end rates. Near National Museum, The Rock Church, The Finlandia House, Music Hall and Modern Art Museum. I'd stay there again for the quet central location and price.

The experience was really great not only because the excellent location, but also for the practical format that hotel has. The room has a lot of space, the bed is really comfortable and the small kitchen is really useful. The only negative point is the clean service that doesn't exist.

Nice appartementhotel in the center. Very silent rooms and breakfast ok, but the price per night could be lower, if you make your own breakfast in the room. Friendly staff. Pets allowed, great! Hellsten Helsinki is group of furnished apartments rented out for short-term stays. You don't have all the service of a traditional hotel, e.g. room service, daily room cleaning, front desk staff (except during weekdays), etc. But what you do have is a large studio apartment (my room was L-shaped giving it almost a one-bedroom feel), with kitchenette, […] large bathroom, balcony and absolute privacy. I enjoyed this experience and would gladly rent this apartment again if I were in Helsinki. Helsinki is expensive, but given that, I would say this was overall a good value. To compare, I paid a similar price in London and barely had room on the floor for my suitcase. The Helsten apartment was very large with living room area, dining room table, desk and plenty of space. The hotel is in a good location for easy access to the railway station (maybe 15 minute walk at most) the same to the Kiasma, nightlife, cinemas, restaurants, shopping, etc. It is in a quiet neighborhood, so you walk away a bit from the action back to the apartments, but it is still safe and convenient. A few minor notes: Internet is cable access, not wifi. You have to fetch a cable downstairs to use it but the service is very good. I arrived on a weekend and there is no lobby staff at that time so you have to arrange in advance to get the key. The process is actually quite easy, but I think the hotel should have been more proactive in providing me with the info (e.g. send me an e-mail in advance). Les mer

We needed a place for 3 adults and this hotel offered what we needed - one bedroom apartment with a sofa in the living room. It has everything what one would expect from an apartment. The only issue was that the bathtab was not attached to the wallls, so if one takes a shower, all the water is going on the floor. My friends stayed in just a "room" in […] this hotel and they had shower stall which worked without problems. The kitchenette has everything to eat in. The place is 15-20 mins away from the Esplanade and 3 mins away from the Church in the Rock. I would definitely recommend this place, just try to get a room with the shower stall. Les mer

We stayed in two hotels during our time in Helsinki. Because we had two nights only at the Hellsten Helsinki Parliament, we qualified for the complimentary breakfast. For longer stays, breakfast is not included because each room has a kitchen and all appliances. In our room the dishes, cups, and silverware needed cleaning although everything else about […] the room was great, especially the roominess.The breakfast room was small, but the food and selection was good. The hotel is very close to the National Museum of Finland and only minutes walk to the #10 and #4 Tram line. The railway station is one stop away and only a 12 minute walk. The only hidden cost was the 3 euros each night to change the towels. You can opt out of getting clean towels, but that's not always the best choice. Great internet connection. Les mer

5 minutes walk from tramway. Good breakfeast. Clean and room was big for one person. I was at the top floor wih a balcony. Good place with spacious room to stay if you have 3 or more days in Helsinki. Then you can use the room's facilities to buy in and prepare food, as all equipment is provided. This is not so much the place to stay for just one or two nights, as the services rendered are more geared to longer stays. The hotel was comfortable and convient to downtown and the train station. Good locals restaurants newrby. Nice locals type neighborhood. Staff very friendly and helpful. Teenagers were disappointed that Wifi was not available. Wired connection was available but only if you have your own wire. Our stay was pleasant. Breakfast was good, but it's the same […] each day. Metered parking only during the day. Parking is on the street is free overnight, but at 2 euros/hr its expensive if you plan to leave your car during the day. Convienent and priced for family of four (unlike much of the other hotels in Helsinki. We also stayed at the Helsinki Airport Hilton this trip...definitely not as elegant or upscale as the Hilton, but less expensive and more convienent to downtown. Would probably stay there again. This was a wonderful hotel. Very clean and quiet, simple but cozy. The location is great: it was about 12-15 min walk from the central station and the downtown, in a very quiet block. There is a very nice playground/park right across the street, so if you're traveling with kids, it's just perfect. My only complaint is that the hotel never contacted […] me after I made the reservation, and I had no idea the reception was going to be closed on the day we arrived (it was a Saturday). I needed accommodation in Helsinki at short notice and booked a 3-night stay at Hellsten Helsinki Parlament. I had booked a single room, but was upgraded to a larger apartment with a separate bedroom. The apartment was very spacious, clean and quiet. Nice modern bathroom and kitchenette. The only thing I missed was a flat screen TV, but I did not have […] much time to watch telly anyway. Breakfast was in a restaurant next door, which was very small and crowded. Breakfast itself was nothing to rave about, but enough to get started for the day. Staff both at reception and in breakfast room was very friendly and helpful. Great hotel! I travelled with a friend who took a different flight but the hotel was in my name only. The desk allowed him to check in and upgrade to double occupancy. The "apartment" was very nice and fully outfitted with glasses, china, utensils, and cooking equipment. The restaurant was very nice and served excellent food all day. Our apartment was very pleasant, quiet and clean. Although the reception area and the breakfast room were tiny the apartment was adequate for our family of four. We walked everywhere as the apartment was less than a kilometre from the city centre. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful and the laundry facilities were good, which is a huge bonus […] when travelling with kids. Very nice apartment (5 minutes walking distance of the city centre) in a lovely and quiet neighbourhood. Modern, clean and nicely decorated. There is a 24hour phone service, in case guests need anything when reception is closed. I enjoyed my stay there and definitely recommend it.

The front desk isn't manned all the time, so if you arrive late in the evening (as I did) or on a week-end, you might want to check with them first. They left the key for me in an easy-to-locate deposit box and it was not a problem. The apartment-like room was very spacious and equipped with a kitchen, fridge and a nice balcony that looked into a backyard […] and that was very quiet. You can easily walk to all the sights of central Helsinki as well as to the central railway station; plus there is a tram stop nearby. I would defnitely recommend this place. Les mer

私は二泊利用しました。ホテルというよりもマンスリーマンションのようなかたちで、長期滞在をするには便利かなという印象です。ただ、ホテルだと思ってチェックインすると、タオルの交換がなかったり、土日はフロントがしまっていたり（私は日曜日がチェックアウトだったので、鍵をポストに返却しました）と違和感を感じると思います。
