I thought I was leaving my car at this motel free of charge,only to be told that wasn"t true..I had called earlier to confirm leaving it for 2 wks & still wasn"t told this..disappointing...

When we first checked in to hotel our sheets was dirty wit blood on them. They should of charged 29 a day. I stayed in motel 6 in Grandrapids for same price and Motel 6 seem like a 5 star Hotel compared to the one Im writing this review on. Side door leading out was never locked.

Only negative thing is the towels for the bathroom they were so small, and i mean after you take a shower and dry yourself, i don't think i could put that towel half way around my waist. if anybody from the hotel sees this, invest in some bigger bath towels for the customers. besides that , its all good !

In short, this hotel is pretty cheap and very conveniently located. Very close to the airport. However it is very dirty, I could see hair and beard on the sink in bathroom. Bed linens were pretty old and containing burned holes. All in all, I recomment this hotel for its price and location but I strongly NOT recommend it because of it dirtiness.

Being one of the cheapest joints near DTW, it's no surprise my stay was sub-par. I went into it not expecting much and got much less. Walking in, the lobby is obviously dated and could use a facelift, even for a super-budget type establishment. After-hours staff (about 2:00am check-in) was friendly enough and provided details about free shuttle to […] airport. First room I received had not been touched by housekeeping and smelled. Went back to front desk and staff did not seem too surprised the room hadn't been cleaned. They gave me another one. This one was cleaned and smelled better. Walls are obviously paper thin. Bathroom door did not close all the way. Lighting in room was poor. Slow drainage in bathtub, HOT shower, towels are lacking in size and softness. Mattresses were acceptable, sheets were clean. New windows with good locks. A/C unit worked exceptionally well. Bottom line is this is your typical, 1-star crash pad. You get a bed and a roof over your head and that is about it. The room for the money was ok but not worth much more. There was not a card key available as the manager had to let me into the room each time. What a hassle. It was also quite a challenge to get to the hotel as the signage was not the best.

II have stayed at this hotel many times. As a older single lady, I feel very secure, have clean sheets and towels and a comfortable bed plus a ride to the airport. So it isn't the grand hotel but it's a fair price and all that I need.

Decent for a night's to stay to catch a flight in the AM. Free shuttle was nice

I don't have super high expectations for these sorts of budget crash pads that exist on the edge of major airports, so I wasn't looking for much at the Metro Inn. But in fact I actually found myself thinking that it was quite serviceable for what I needed. Reasonably clean, quiet, good locks on the windows (the first thing I check), very strong Wi-Fi […] signal in my room, convenient parking, pleasant staff, no odd smells, clean sheets, a small workout room if desired, five minutes from the airport, a non-threatening neighborhood, and within a mile or two were some decent\interesting places to eat and drink. Would I come there with my wife on a honeymoon? No. Would I want to stay for more than a couple of nights? Probably not since other more pleasant options are available a little further away for just a little more money. Is it going to win any awards for decor or landscaping? Nope. But if I had to ever be in the Detroit airport area again for a night, it would be my first choice... ,,,and besides, they have the "longest continuous hallway in Michigan", a claim that even the Ritz-Carlton or the Four Seasons can't make. I was very disappointed. Under beds were dirty socks and candy wrappers. Bathroom floor had dust and hairon floor.. Water did not drain from shower ,took at least 10 minutes. Almost filled tub.

Although the location was convenient and the price was excellent, I felt like I was sleeping on a concrete slab with outside light streaming into the room from the too- narrow curtains. For a one-night stay before a flight from the airport, it was OK. Anything longer than that would not be acceptable.

The motel is past the end of its life.

the first room they gave us, had a very distinct odor. I requested another room and they gave me one. this room was fine. The beds were comfortable (last time we stayed there, the beds were very HARD and we heard planes flying over all night). I don't know if I was just very tired and didn't hear them this time, but I do know that the bed was a lot […] more comfortable. Pleasant visit. Got three calls from the front desk (would ring once and then hang up)...more annoying than anything, but all in all good visit. Would definately stay there again. Les mer

This is the worst motel I have ever stayed. Everything is dirty. You can find much better hotel at the same rate.
