Nedslitt ja greit, men renhold kann være bedre

Heilt ok hotell. Hadde fine, nyoppussa rom. Litt små rom, men fungerte heilt ok. Litt dårleg bad trekte ned. Hyggelege folk som gav gode råd viss me lurte på noko. Kan anbefalast til mindre opphold i paris.

Stayed in this hotel only one night instead of planned three! When we opened the door to our room a smell of cigarettes came to us. It is though a smokefree hotel. We had to ask the clerk in the reception to get a pillow and a xtra blanket. Me, the mother, and my grownup daughter had to sleep together in a bed not wider then 1,20 meter. And I guess […] that the walls in the hotel are made of thin paper. You could hear the other guests clearly. When we were on our way out to eat dinner the first evening the receptionist demanded the key and threatend us that they would not make another one if we lost this one!! And also told us that he could get into our room at any time. We checked out first thing in the morning. Les mer

I will recommend this to my friends and family as the hotel is newly renovated and quite big. It's just opposite of gare du nord station Eurostar and metro so its really convenient specially if you have kids like me. The hotel reception is so helpful and kind.

OK if you won't be in the hotel too long. It was close to the train station so it was easy to go around the city. The room was very small, kind of dirty and the bathroom somehow had the shower, toilet and sink in the same space, meaning no separation at all..Weird. The staff was friendly, sometimes.... Hotel being renovated is iin funky Gare de Nord area without the monuments and sights nearby, but in easy reach by metro and station at front door. Cosiderong Paris it was very reasonably priced. In face of our mistake in claiming things were " lost" from our room in our absence, the hotel staff was dignified and professional, deserving our apology. The hotel was very close to the train station, Person at the counter was very helpful. Rooms were small but the location was great and worth it.

The room was small and the bathroom tiny. However the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the breakfast was excellent value for money and the hotel's location across the street from Gare du Nord was unbeatable. There was easy access to Paris' underground trains and also to the Eurostar. If you want a large and luxurious room, then don't stay here. […] But if you want the experience of staying in a French hotel, and really only need a place to sleep (because you are, after all, in Paris) then this hotel provides excellent value for money. Note, the elevator is tiny, and opens on a staircase about 5 steps from the floor landing - all part of the experience of staying in an old building. There were a number of French guests at the hotel, so this is not primarily a tourist hotel. Les mer

It has nothing new. The dirtiest room I have ever stayed in. The bathroom was the dirtiest part it has mold on the shower. The neighborhood was not the cleanest either and we did not felt safe. We booked for five days and left it at day 2 even though we paid in advance and there was no refund. Very dissatisfied and dissapointed.

I booked into the New Hotel Gare du Nord, but on arrival I was sent round the corner to another hotel. Room was very basic, bathroom smelly, poor heating - basic bed - fortunatly I only needed to stay in the Hotel from arrival at 9 pm at night until 7 am and the bed was comfortable enough to sleep in and the room was not noisy. So excellent location […] - opposite Gare du Nord, plenty of local cafes - you can survive and sleep in the room but don't expect anything more! Les mer

Lousy stay!

Although the hotel is fantastically placed for getting about using the metro and rer trains the room was really small and other than in the shower room did not contain a mirror. There was only one socket which was near the window and too far away from the mirror in the shower room to use a hair dryer and style your hair properly. We found the staff […] really friendly and helpful and they lent me an extension lead for the week so I could use my hairdryer. The electric failed while we were there and we were a bit worried that the system was all on one circuit. Overall we enjoyed our stay and had a really good time. Les mer

When we first checked in and looked at our room, it was the size of a postage stamp. There wasn't enough room for our 2 suitcases. We went back to the lobby and asked if there was a larger room. There was; in fact, it was the room next door and much larger and nicer. We took it, even though the desk clerk said he would have to charge us 20 Euros extra […] per night. We felt we were being ripped off, but paid it anyway, since it was late and we had been traveling for 5 days at that point. Other than that, everything was fine. Enjoyed the breakfast buffet. The room could not have been tinier. The furnishings were very old and outdated, but everything was clean and maintained. The hotel was located directly across from the Gare du Nord station and couldn't have been more convenient. There was a metro station right outside the hotel too. We only stayed there two nights and were happy with the location. […] If you're aiming for a longer stay, stay somewhere else, or if you spend a lot of time in your room. It was also hot in the room, and loud when we opened up the window since you're right outside the station. I would stay there again though for a short trip. Les mer

good location, good value for money, clean,renovation work in progress

Front desk personal very pleasant. Breakfast is a good value. Across the street from train station with easy access to Metro and RER trains. Chose this because of early morning flight at CDG. Rooms down the hall were being upgraded (6th floor). Has lift for two people. CLEAN, NICE ROOMS with interesting shower. Our room did not have a/c but did not […] need it in April. Rates are decent for the area. Good food nearby and at hotel. Les mer

Arrived in Paris on Eurostar and was in the hotel in 5 mins and fully checked in shortly after with a fantastic street veiw of the station outside. Amazing value for money - would definately stay again.

Great location across the street from train station Gare du Nord. That's about all the positive to say about this property. Hall painting took much longer than necessary while stairs remained dangerous with loose drop cloths. A budget travelers delight. My second stay there in one week...bad choice, again aside for location

Halls being repainted with little progress to show over 2 non-successive nights in a week. Elevator too small for 2 people and a suitcase. Steps on staircase are dangerous: too small and covered with torn, dirty drop cloths showing signs of paint job. Hallway carpet covered with paint. All understanding but should not go on so long. The hotel looked promising when I booked, thinking it might be one of those hotels which have been renovated and smarten up. However, huge disappointment from the moment I arrived to the floor where my room was located: refirbishing work next door, dangerous steps and putrid carpet. Once I got in I realised the place was one of those places that rent […] by the hour; dirty coversheets, dusty floor and it takes forever for the hotwater to come out, wasting gallons in the process. Hotel is very close to Eurostar and Metro stations, but the rooms are very small and ours smelt damp. Very small double bed. The single person lift does not go to all floors so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs

A rather tired hotel but it was in a very convenient location for the station. The hotel was good value for money.

New Hotel Gare du Nord (and it's partner, the neighboring Richmond Hotel) is literally the closest hotel to the Gare du Nord rail station. We chose this hotel for our family (2 adults, 2 kids) simply because of it's proximity to the Eurostar terminal in the north part of Paris. While not extravagant in the least, the hotel had all the basics as well […] as air-conditioning, free in-room WiFi, and a tub for bathing the little ones. What would take me back, however, was the extremely friendly and courteous front-desk staff. English was supurb, as well as their knowledge of the best way to see the tourist sites. Would definitely recommend, unless you already know your way around, and need something a bit more comfy. For a long-weekend get away with my family, we wouldn't stay any where else. Les mer

I liked this hotel for location & the retro charm of room.

The reception persons were not welcome to the guests, the curtains and sheets are so so so old, and all of them has lots of hole on them, the hot water doesn’t work well, in 3days stayed over there, I wanted take a shower and the hot water didn’t work. Friendly I asked the reception to come up and look at it or maybe fix it, then he blame me that I […] don’t know to use water…??????? The breakfast hall was so scary, I felt like a dungeon where they kept prisoners.  In overall, that much of money doesn’t worth for this hotel. Les mer

This hotel was really dirty. The person at the reception desk was really rude. My family was with me and they were discusted by the dirty rooms and floors. I would never recommend this room to anyone. The place was ugly and unsafe too. I will never return to this dump again.

Not a good idea. Just hours before we left on our vacation, we stumbled on some pretty poor reviews of this hotel. We thought we'd chance it anyway, because we had no time to research another hotel within our budget. The reviews were accurate. The bathroom was pretty disgusting and the beds were pretty uncomfortable. The sink drained very slowly and […] the mold/mildew on the walls, floor and ceiling was pretty bad. I needed a convenient hotel that would allow me to easily get anywhere in Paris on the Metro. You literally walk out of Gare du Nord, cross the street and you're in the hotel. The entrance to the Gare du Nord Metro station is literally outside the hotel door. This is the main reason to stay here. I was expecting much worse, but my room was clean and […] neat. There was very little noise the two nights I was there and the front desk staff was helpful. The only thing that I had to complain about was that the hotel's free wi-fi was on the fritz, so I had to go to an internet cafe or up the streets to McDonald's to check email. No, it's not the Ritz, but for a tourist hotel, it will do nicely. I'd stay there again. Les mer

I would not recommend this hotel for anyone who was looking for a nice place to stay. The only reason that it was quite nice for us was the fact that it was directly across the street from Gare du Nord, where we needed to be early the next morning.

Rooms are small but location and value cannot be beat. Directly across from the main entrance to Gare du Nord. Great if you are passing through Paris. Gare de Lazare is a 10 minute subway trip away.

Chose this hotel because of its excellent location to train station and metro station. easy access to airport as well from the RER line at Gare Du Nord station. Paid for occupancy of 4 and was assigned room 527 with 2 double beds which is very spacious by Eurpoean standards. A good place to rest the night after a long day away sightseeing. Bring own […] shampoo, conditioner as those supplied are limited to only 2-in-1 shampoo and body cleanser in puches. Les mer

Do not expect any sort of service Was told the hotel does not have heating and when asked for extra bed sheets or duvet was told hotel does not have any, Morning assistants ok Night ones more busy smoking and talking to friends outside, Not a safe hotel

Everything in real is smaller than you see from the photo. Also, bathroom is quite bad, always hot and cold water switching all the time even you dont adjust anything. If you meet big guy and white hair receiption, he is very bad an impolite but others are okay and nice.

We picked this hotel due to the location for Eurostar, metro etc and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though quite small. Was a bit noisey at night, but again ok for short city break. Only thing missing was a bar fridge which would be helpful. This was my first visit to Paris and the hotel was in the perfect location being opposite the station where the Eurostar arrives. The staff at reception were extremely helpful and made us feel welcome and gave us advice on how to get around and what sights we should go and see. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Das Hotel wird gerade renoviert und es hat im Zimmer ein bisserl nach frischem Lack gerochen, aber alle waren sehr bemüht, den Aufenthalt angenehm zu gestalten. Die Lage des Hotels ist optimal wenn man mit dem Flugzeug über CDG-Airport anreist. Vom Airport mit der RER (Schnellbahn) zum Gare du Nord, von hier mit der Metro überallhin in Paris.
