"Perfect for going to Killington Mountain"
Incredibly close to the mountain and they provide bus service! The hotel has a nice bar and had live music, which was a nice surprise. The only minor down side is the walls are paper thin. Our neighbors weren't as pleased with the enjoyable night we were having ;)
"Great location"
Knowing the Killington area well, I knew we weren't going for top class accomodations...just a place to sleep. We got what we were expecting. What we were most impressed with was the friendliness of the hotel staff. Our first room had no heat for 24 hours, so after alerting the front desk, they immediately had someone looking into it. Unfortunately […] the problem was not fixed, so the staff suggested moving and upgrading our room, without additional cost. We didn't even need to ask! They were so unbelievably friendly and accomodating, even looking for a room close to our original one so we wouldn't have to move our luggage far. It was a pleasant stay all because of the friendly and accomodating staff. Les mer
"Foot of Killington"
Rooms were comfortable and the lounge was friendly. Loved the pool table. The skiing was terrible due to mid-March heat wave but enjoyed the start with a waffle breakfast.

"Cosy and Convenient"
400 yards from Killington mountain in Vermont, we had a lovely room with a fireplace (with remote timer switch), fridge, TV with a DVD player, hair drier and plenty of towels. The pool is kept very warm despite it being outside and the sauna was wonderful as well. The service could not have been better. The hotel offers an included adequate breakfast, […] and the jazz band on Monday evenings (in the bar) was wonderful as well. I highly recommend the place. Les mer
"3 nights at Killington's Mountain Inn"
The hotel was nice enough. Nothing extravagant, but very adequate. The staff were extremely kind and courteous though occasionally a little difficult to understand, due to English not being their native tongue. A good continental breakfast starts each day....and we were close enough to walk to the slopes should we choose to do so. We got what we went […] for, a cost effective stay for 3 guys to get away quickly to check out Killington from the Virginia Beach area. Les mer
Very out dated and rooms are dirty and when i got in the room it had a half a roll of toilet paper on the roll thats bad!!!
"Pretty solid, close to both slopes & dining, bars"
The place serves its purpose. It is not a dump, and it is not spectacular. They keep the place clean and the rooms are in good condition. But you're defo not getting 4-star, big city. As the sign in the bathroom reminds you when advising against dumping safe of TP down the bowl, this is country plumbing. But there were no red flags. It is close enough, […] depending on your tolerance, to walk to the slopes (made unnecessary by the ample shuttles). The restaurants/bars are in the other direction- not really comfortable walking distance, but there is no reason to get stuck walking. If you must restrict yourself to the campus, free wi-fi speed is reasonably quick, breakfast is adequate and there is dining and a lounge (though I can't vouch for those). Les mer
"Basically right on the moutain"
The level of genuine, courteous service at The Mountain Inn far exceeds just about anywhere I've ever stayed. They constantly went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Even after we were long gone it continued; they arranged to ship some stuff to us that we left behind in the room. We loved that they had an attached restaurant, […] and a separate attached bar with live entertainment every night. Great alternative for 30-somethings to the "nightclubs" on the access road. Nice that I could throw back a few extra local beers (of which they had an impressive selection) and then walk down the hall to my room. We loved that the bus stopped at the hotel and was one stop to the lift. We also loved the heated outdoor pool. The included hot breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Only complaint was the linens. The pillows were old and saggy, the blankets were probably older than me, and the towels were small and rough. Everything was plenty clean, but some new linens and towels would really, really bring this place up a few pegs. Overall a very pleasant stay. Les mer

The hotel accommodations were modest but more than adequate. The hotel staff were very friendly and made us feel at home. My only complaints were the ignorant guests that slammed their doors in the middle of the night and the foreigners who went knocking on doors at 8:00 am to find their fellow travelers. "You couldn't ask for a better location"
Close to Mountain. We could see Ramshead right from our room. Great Hotel personnel. Fast check in and check out. Very Clean. Shuttle to the mountain with inside waiting. Very close to stores and restaurants. Down side: Parking lot could have used some de-icer.

this was exactly what i expected it to be. It's clean and well kept, but definitely could use a little updating. Would have expected it to see a bit 'newer' for the $$. Only complaint was the room thermostat - it was weird and didn't seem to work the way you thought it would. So we were a little cold. But other than that, it was fine. would stay here […] again. Great location but not much else. The owners have cut every corner possible. Pathetic breakfast, room temperature controls dont go past the mid 60's (if you can even figure them out), 1 time use cheap soaps and shampoo, ugly rooms that havent been updated in decades. I feels like it was a great ski lodge 20 years ago that has since been forgotten […] and left to decay. You can feel the cheapness of the owners in everything. Watered-down orange juice, cheap breakfast foods, minimal heating.... Don't bother for the price. You'd be better off at a budget hotel. Les mer

"good location, met our expectations of a ski-hotel"
We had a short ski-vacation in Killington in December 2011. Our stay in the Mountain Inn was pleasant overall and met our expectations. We arrived early to drop our luggage and go off skiing. The receptionist was very friendly and we had the luck that our room was already ready for us (9 am). The room was clean and the beds were firm (we slept well). […] The room was as one could expect in somewhat older ski hotels with a slightly musty smell (though not annoying). More annoying was the occasional noise from people coming back late at night from the après ski for which the thin walls weren’t designed. But again, this is what you would expect in a ski hotel during the holiday season and it only woke us up once. Breakfast was good but nothing fancy (pre-cooked omelets and sausages, bagels, waffles, toast and some fruit). Main advantage of this hotel is its location (smack in front of the mountain). Theoretically this would be walking distance, though I wouldn’t recommend walking there while carrying ski gear and avoiding the many cars. If you appreciate getting up early and being on the mountain when the lifts open (like we did), I could definitely recommend this hotel. If you don’t mind driving half an hour to get to the mountain, there may be cheaper options available just outside of Killington. Les mer

The Mountain Inn in Killington was very close with a shuttle that brought you to the front door of the ski hill, but the hotel itself was very rustic. It needs a major renovations, the place was clean but and the food was good but stuck in the 1970's.

"Not bad, but only average."
We stay here in early October. The Hotel location is reasonable close to the main area and is close to the ski lifts. The hotel staff were brilliant, but the Bar and restaurant was closed, these were being used by a tour group. Unfortunately we want to have a quite drink and something to eat, and hence why I have only given a 3 rating.

We visited for two nights for a wedding Oct 1, 2011. We had a very nice stay. The cousins running the hotel were very friendly accommodating and pleasant to work with. I would stay at this establishment again if needed. Cheers. Tom B
The location is great! Breakfast was OK. Room was a bit small, but the service made up for all of it. They went out of their way to get us a crib for our daughter.

"Has potential but needs a little work"
The Mountain Inn has charm but could use a renovation. The bathroom sink was across the room from the toilet and shower. The electricity in our room was on the fritz. The front desk staff were very nice, as was our waitress, but the restaurant (Santa Fe Steakhouse) needed an intervention from Gordon Ramsay. Our waitress said it was their first night […] open, so hopefully they've been able to work out the kinks. The tables next to us said they waited an hour for their food and people were visibly upset. My $23 pasta dish was lukewarm, overcooked penne with 3 fresh grilled shrimp and 5 small frozen shrimp. I hope they are able to pull it together, because the place definitely has potential. Les mer

Went to Killington the last week in March 2011 with great conditions. Very satisfied with the hotel, location and the employees who were very helpful, polite and knowledegable about the area and conditions of the slopes. The price per night was better then some of the hotels further down Killington Road. Will defintely go back next year and recommend […] the Inn. An added plus was that they have a bar with live entertanment that we hit a few nights and restaurant (never made it ) in the property. A great deal for the money and location. Les mer

Clean room, somewhat small. Very good breakfast. Lively apres ski. Small Outdoor heated pool a great way to end the day. Seems more suited to 20 somethings, but our family with 2 tween/teen boys liked it as well.

"Mountain Inn at Killington"
It is very convenient and close to the slopes, can walk to Snowshed. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was fairly small but clean and well kept. Overall decor is good and not terribly dated. Bring your earplugs however, the walls are paper thin and the walls shake every time a door slams. That being said, I would definitely stay again.
"Good Place to Stay After Long Day Skiing"
We stayed at the Mountain Inn for three nights. Overall, my wife and I were pleased with the hotel for several reasons: Our room was clean and spacious for a Killington hotel. We had a room with a king size bed, small refrigerator, a TV with 8 good channels and a fireplace that kept the room quite toasty. The sink, however, was outside the bathroom […] on the other side of the room and the bath towels were amazingly small. The hotel has a bar lounge with a large fireplace, reasonable prices and a friendly bartender. The Santa Fe restaurant was better than we expected. It had a salad bar with lots of choices and a menu that includes several cuts of steak, chicken and fish. My wife had a tasty sirloin steak and I had a spicy Spanish Paella. Breakfast comes with the stay and is barely adequate with cold cereal, waffles and muffins. The hotel has a classic Vermont country theme, is in reasonable condition with good amenities including a game room, sauna and small heated outdoor pool. The big plus for the hotel is its location at the bottom of the mountain. It’s only a 2 to 3 minute drive to the ski lodge parking lot and there are regular shuttles. While the check-in and check out was easy and the front desk staff were friendly, the one thing that needs improvement is the LACK OF SERVICE TIED TO SECURITY. On Sat night about a half dozen couples, all in their 30’s, checked into rooms on the second floor. They began drinking, yelling, running down the hall, slamming doors and falling down in the hallway floor. We called the front desk and left messages with no reply. The night manager had gone to bed. I found him, insisted he take action and get things calmed down. By 2PM it was finally quiet. Les mer

The staff was really friendly. The ceilings were fairly thin, so there was no choice but to wake up with the neighbors above. The curtains didn't easily close completely and faced the parking lot in back, so people could potentially look in. The beds weren't super-comfortable, and in one of the rooms, the bathroom fan was uncomfortably noisy. It was […] nice to have free cable and even a DVD player, and there was a small fridge even in the room that said it wouldn't have one. I liked that they had air hockey and a small video game room downstairs, plus coin-operated laundry machine and even a heated pool outside. Continental breakfast was OK, with waffles. Wish they had better OJ and some real maple syrup or at least something other than cheap packets of corn syrup. Didn't try the restaurant on-site, but the jazz band on Wednesday was decent, as was the bar. All-in-all, a decent, relatively inexpensive place to stay near Killington's slopes. Les mer
"Convenient location but basic accommodations"
The Mountain Inn is very convenient to the Killington Ski area but be aware that the accommodations are very basic. This hotel is suited more to the 20-something skiier looking for a bed and shower then to a someone seeking nice accommodations for a romantic getaway. The rooms are clean, hotel is slightly worn.
"Very quaint and comfortable"
I came here in Feb 2011 for a ski weekend with my boyfriend. We were looking for something super close to the mountain and clean, it this fit the bill perfectly. The inn was very quaint and comfortable. In the evenings we enjoyed sitting by the fire in the bar area. The bartender was amazingly friendly and attentive. We had a nice dinner in the hotel […] restaurant. There was even a heated outdoor pool although, we weren't brave enough to take advantage of this! As other reviews mention, you can definitely hear through the walls and ceiling. But for a couple nights this was not really a nuisance. The free shuttle to the ski lift is a great perk! If you prefer to drive, the lift is literally a minute away. Overall, this was a great first stay in Killington. Les mer

Nice location, walking distance from Killington Resort. Pool is outside and you have to walk to the pool. Not really pleasant walk when you are undressed, and it is 20F outside. Don't count on it. Breakfast is very plain. Not much to choose from.

"Mountain inn - convenient but loud"
This hotel is extremely close to the local skiing and tge staff is very nice. Each morning the staff puts out a continental type breakfast with hot waffles. The place has a decent steakhouse on site though it's prices are similar to surrounding places in the tourist town. The bar was a nice place to grab a drink with good staff. Prices here are a bit […] pricey but so are other bars in the area. The hotel itself: Pros: nice staff and extremely reasonable with a cool fireplace in every room Cons: extremely thin walls with rooms that clearly show their age In my view this place is great for a traveler on a budget and I would suggest it to others if there isn't a group of party people above your room.
