Hotellet ligger flott til ved stranden og er stille og rolig - bortsett fra en nydelig lyd av havdønningene. Hjelpsom hotellbetjening. Selve Albufeira er et typisk turiststed men ikke langt fra Algarves andre severdigheter. Rommet mangler aircondition men dette hadde ingen betydning da vi var der i mars.

Dette hotellet var nydelig, godt vedlikeholdt, og plassert over en flott strand. Vi var der utenfor sesongen, så prisen var bra. Ingen av bassengene ute var oppvarmet, men det er innendørs basseng som holdt en god temperatur. Hele hotellet bar preg av å være godt vedlikeholdt, bortsett fra innendørsbassenget som så litt slitt ut. Hotellet og Algarve anbefales på det varmeste.

Denne travle, særpregede lille byen er inngangsporte til regionen, men blir ofte oversett av Algarves besøkende. Den elegante, brosteinsbelagte, fredelige gamlebyen er en nytelse å spasere gjennom. For people who wants to discover Algarve profundly this is a recommendable place to start! An additional tip is that the outstanding etnographical museum of Algarve is situated just 5 minutes' walk away. Staying at EVA we got a little bit of the exclusive feeling that was typical for travellers decennies ago though we are ordinary people of 2011. The […] internetservice was not very accessible and expensive. The room service personel was extremely clever and nice, but sometimes they seemed to have too much to do. Nær flyplass, gåavstand til fergene til Ihla Deserta (flott strand), kort vei til gamlebyen og sentrum med shopping og spisesteder. Perfekt for en weekend!

"Hotel Eva"
Splendid location and breakd\fast. Ok rooms. Ok hotel-( But sterile!) Indifferent staff at the reception. (Not even a welcome at arrival.) Empty minibar ( exept for water.) Explanation: You could ask for other drinks at the reception! ( What`s the point with thwe minibar?) Not again i`m afraid!
"Fin utsikt"
Pluss: Fint hotell midt i faro. Rent rom, fin utsikt mot havnen, kjekt med basseng på taket og god frokost. Veldig hyggelige ansatte! Minus: Litt dyrt i forhold til standard og størrelsen på rommet. Bassenget på taket kunne vært renere, men hva kan man forvente når flyplassen ligger like utfor byen..?

Vi ankom hotellet etter en kort kjøretur fra flyplassen, anbefaler gps for de som ikke er kjent. Ble vennlig imøtekommet i resepsjon, med rask innskjekking. Hotellet luktet og så gnistrende rent ut med minimalistisk innredning, mye blomster. Fantastisk utsikt over hav/havneområdet fra hotellet. Hotellrommet var stort, romslig og veldig rent med stor […] balkong, deilig. Men rommet vårt var rett over gaten som det også var en del barer og studentboliger i nærheten av. Dette førte til mye støy og vi sov litt dårlig, men rom ut mot havet er nok ganske rolig. Beliggenheten er ypperlig med god tilgang på restauranter og byliv. Personalet var veldig hjelpsomme og ga kartanvisninger og anbefalninger til gode spisesteder. Ellers var det også stort svømmebasseng på toppen og selvom det var utenom sesong så var vi velkommen til å få bruke det om vi ville. Ellers var sikkerhetsnivået på hotellet veldig bra, og man følte seg trygg på at verdisaker o.l var trygge. Les mer

"Not good enough"
4 stars? Friendly staff, nice reception, swimmingpool, bar, restaurant and good breakfast. However, dirty floors and walls and ridicilously hard beds. Aircondition very marginal, just able to keep below "sweating" temperature. Would not recommend the hotel at this price.

We stayed for 3 nights. As soon I we walked in the hotel looked amazing, really nice decor. We were able to check in 1 and half before check in time, the staff very helpful. The room was nice and clean, beds, towels, toiletries were constantly being replenished daily. There was a gym which we didnt use, but did use te sauna and Turkish bath which in […] a very clean state. Also had a swimming pool on the roof but was too cold to sample. We opted for breakfast, and was not disappointed they had full continental breakfast, and always being topped up by the friendly staff, and the view was amazing. The only small downside was the fact you had to pay for wifi, Apart from this, everything else was perfect. Would definitely recommend to others Les mer

We have been staying at this hotel for a number of years and it never fails to disappoint. We always ask for a room overlooking the harbour as the views and sunsets are lovely. The rooms are spotless and the beds very comfortable. It's location in the centre of Faro is the perfect base for exploring the city and it's right next to the bus station if […] you want to travel further afield. Breakfast offers a large variety of food, both hot and cold and the views over the sea are a stunning. I would defninately recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Faro. Les mer

We upgraded to a room with a view of the marina We had asked about noise from the club below and were reassured that it would not be a problem at this time of year ie December. Unfortunately the receptionist was wrong. We suffered the noise until midnight then asked when the singing/ band would stop. Apparently it would go onto 1 am. Reception were […] very aware of the noise factor! We asked for and were given another, more quiet room. We still had to pay the upgrade charge. Les mer

"Great Hotel"
I picked this hotel for it's location which did not disappoint. The reception staff were excellent and very helpful. The only downside, which I was aware of before I booked the hotel, was the noise from the local Eme club. On two out of the seven nights I stayed here, they had a singer on and the noise carried. However, this stopped around twelve. On […] the Saturday night, the noise of the locals looking for taxis or buses kept me awake. The rooms are not as sound-proof as the hotel claims. Les mer
"Great location"
The hotel is in a really good location - right next to the harbour. Breakfast can be enjoyed outdoors overlooking the harbour. The pool was a good place to get the last rays of sun each day. Both the bus station and train station arew within 5 mins walk of the hotel. Rooms were really quiet and dark.

This is an excellent choice for a visit to old Faro . Situated adjacent to the Marina it is easy walking distance to the old city sites and shops. The staff are uniformly friendly and helpful and the roof top restaurant should not be missed for the view as well as the excellent food
"Weekend stay"
Had a lovely stay for 3 nights this hotel was perfectly situated in the centre of faro with lovely views from the 5 th floor restaurant terrace where we had breakfast. The pool area was perfect to relax at after a wander round the town. It has an poolside bar that serves drinks and snacks all day. Will definitely be back as we got very reasonable flights […] to faro. So close to airport so ideal for a weekend away. Also it is right next to train station too, Les mer
"Hotel Eva, Faro Portugal - great location but..."
Couldn't ask for a better location. We took the train which stops 300 meters from the hotel. The lobby is beautiful and the hotel sits right on the marina. It is an easy walk to the main downtown area. Beaches are away from town so if you want to get sun the pool is on the 5th floor with 360 degree views. The hotel is quite long and our room happened […] to be situated at the far end which is above the bus depot and almost below the pool. The carpet was soiled and not in great shape. When we wanted to go to the pool from the room we had to walk the entire length of the hotel, take the elevator to the top level and then walk the entire length of the hotel past meeting rooms (that were in session even on the weekends) to the pool. Upon our first visit to the pool we were told to go back to the front desk and leave a 15 Euro deposit for each towel that we wanted to use. Overall we were pleased with the hotel, just not our room or the access to the pool. Les mer

Very relaxing friendly hotel, staff very helpfull and friendly. The hotel rooms are of good size and very clean, room service was very good with the room cleaned every day. The meals are very good in a very relaxed atmosphere and reasonably priced to eating out. This hotel is 4 star and deserves this rating.

"More like 3 star..."
On arrival, there was no hotel parking for us, so we had to pay a few euros to park it in another street. We had a brief problem with our bathroom tap (brown water first then a dribble) but the hotel fixed it promptly. We were kept awake until 2am by the karaoke bar outside. Pool area pleasant as was breakfast but we didn't feel this hotel deserved […] its 4 star status. Les mer

I found the hotel to be very central for sightseeing and close to restaurants, shops and transportation. However, I found that the reception staff were not very helpful when I asked them for directions. They din't tell us that the bus station was around the corner from the hotel! Very good location and inside it looks brand new. The only thing I wasn't so satisfied with was the breakfast, it was good, but I don't think it was a 4 star breakfast (i.e. it didn't have fresh orange juice and much of the fruit was from a tin).

On arrival at our destination the weather was not good however, when we arrived at the hotel we were very impressed. Overall impression of hotel was good, room was very comfortable and staff in hotel very accommodating. Food too was very good. I think this hotel would be great in Summer, but we booked there especially because there was a pool - and it was closed!! Staff were helpful and friendly but there was no service at the rooftop bars/lounges which was strange - and inconvenient! Nice clean hotel in the heart of the historic district
Most convenient for both the airport and town centre. A spectacular view from the dining room - most impressive for dining. Service was very attentive for both lunch and dinner, the menu choice was very good and the meals were excellent. We also had had drinks in the bar and the service and attention was excellent.
First class location whether it was for access to the main shopping areas or just to roam about. The bus and train stations are close at hand to give access to all parts of the Algarve. The hotel is beautifully maintained and having the restaurant "on the roof" is wonderful, the sun streaming in even in January is so good.The breakfast itself was very […] good with plenty of choice. I was just overnighting at Eva on the way home, and the downtown location near train and bus stations, shops, and the beautiful marina view were all significant features that make Hotel Eva a recommended downtown Faro choice. The room was comfortable but could have used a bit better vacuuming job. The health club was excellent and the staff professional. "Hotel Eva - at Faro Marina"
Hotel was nice and in a good area. We had a room with a view over the marina which was lovely. The pool was really nice to spend a few relaxing hours late afternoon/early evening. Hotel Eva was a bit more expensive than most other hotels but definitely worth it especially as breakfast is included.
I stayed 1 night at this hotel, very clean hotel , the breackfast was fantastic, the hotel was convientent to the train station.

The hotel is well situated. The staff were very helpful on the two nights we stayed at the beginning and again at the end of our break. I had practiced booking in in Portugues. My Portugues is rubbish but they gave us a Marina view. All the staff were exeptionally helpful, and friendly. The hotel held our bags free of charge the next day, also when […] we booked in at end of our holiday so we could go round Faro unencumbered. I think for the price the hotel is excellent. Very good location. bus depot on the same block as hotel with English speaking again. Lots of excellent meals in Faro. Dont go to The Chelsea Restaurant, in Faro, the only place on our trip that was a rip off. Otherwise everything really great. Les mer
"Great Location and Gym!"
This hotel is within walking distance to the train station and a short taxi drive to the airport. All of the shopping in town is right around across the street. Bar downstairs, restaurant upstairs. This place has everything! The gym is better than my world-known gym at home. Spa, sauna, hairdresser, and even a barber (and yes I visited him as I awaited […] my flight to leave). The people at the front desk were very helpful which was nice since many speak only a little English around the cities. The showers were great and the beds were comfortable. After traveling all over Portugal for over two weeks, this was our top 2. Great views of the marina and old city (surrounded by Roman walls) from many of the rooms and the top. Les mer
