Happy Holiday Motel - Myrtle Beach

This hotel did not have anything to offer. Not even a bar of soap. Lucky I travel with my own soap. No internet or any of the little goodies like shampoo,lotion that other hotels offer. NOTHING. You could smell the room before the door was even opened. Don't know if the carpet was the cause, but it was a sick smell. The location was great. The clerk […] was nice. We had a 1st floor room with two beds. It is a very old hotel and it shows. It was what I expected for the price. Only real complaint is the carpet is kinda sticky. Front office people were nice and there was a microwave & fridge in the room. Don't expect a high end room for what you pay at this place. Hotel staff was not very helpful... They seemed bothered when we asked for things like clean towels... Housekeeping came by once in the 5 days we stayed there... We saw a cockroach in the bathroom the last day... Fridge was disgusting. Tv was broken and the hotel in general is in need of repairs.

We didn't receive any maid service at all, the first night we stayed we told them we only needed towel and we had to wait until evening because they didn't have any. We payed for 4 more nights after we arrived but had to checkout early because of sickness with one of the children, and they wouldn't refund our money even though there was lots of rooms […] available, so I know our reservation wouldn't have knocked them out of money. I personally would not stay at this Motel again. Upon entering the room everything was wet. Although I was given another room house cleaning did not clean room once. When asked for more linens, desk clerk took linen out of another room and stated he did not know whether the linen was clean or not. How unsanitary! Could not get more wash cloths. The hotel wasn't the best but it was what u pay for, staff was very nice, the only complaint I have was the seal around are door didn't seal very well and you could hear everything that went on outside the room. It was in the best location! I would say its like a hotel for teenagers on senior trips, not really family place.

Overall it was a good stay for the price. was not satisfied with the cleanliness of the room when we arrived and the maid service, besides that the stay was good. cheap, good atmosphere, right next to the beach.

Overall I was satisfied with my stay at the happy holiday. The motel is in walking distance of alot of stuff which was a plus.

The happy holiday motel should be demolished it was nasty. The pictures were obviously taken right when it first opened. Its in the ghetto part of the strip away from everything and it isn't even ocean front. Maybe it would be ok for some high-schoolers spring break but that's about it. The bed sreads had cigarette Burns in them and the mattress was […] rock hard. Every time I showered the bath tub would start filling up with water. The bath towels had stains on them as did the pillow cases and curtains. The refrigerator looked repulsive inside and there were chip crumbs on the floor which tells me they didn't sweep after the last person checked out. My advice is Spend The Extra Money and get a nice hotel Les mer

Aweful, old, shower was gross, tv was not working correctly, garbage truck came at 6:30am and was extremely loud and my truck bumper was hit in the parking lot. Wouldn't stay there again.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nice for the price i paid. Location was right in the middle of everything. I would tell friends to stay here if they are looking for a room room at a fair price.

It was a great location right across the street from the beach. Our room was typical of a cheap hotel room for college students, but it was fine for us!!!

Good things: right across the road from the beach. Bad things: I had to go get the room towels from the lobby worker the day we checked in. No maid service at all for our 3 day stay so we had to take the trash out ourselves, take our dirty towels to office and get clean towels each day. The place was falling apart, duct tape on floor to hold the carpet […] down, Fridge barely worked, everything was dirty and hadn't been scrubed for quite a long time. Motel and rooms haden't been updated since the 70's. Pillows were about 1/4 inch thick. Really will never recommend this place to anyone and will never stay there again!!!!! Paid way too much for such a dump and I'm not hard to please!! Les mer

This hotel was in a great location,heart of everything. Service at front desk was outstanding. Very polite and informative. Will definitely stay here again! Only down fall was no internet service.

Ok läge i Myrtle Beach med gångavstånd till centrum. Nära stranden, som är underbar. Frukost- och matställen nära och bra. Bodde på nedre plan precis vid poolen, och det var livat värre med ungdomar på lov. Motellet ligger mitt mellan de lite mera kriminella områdena i Myrtle Beach och centrum, men var ändå rätt ok. Rummet var inte speciellt underhållet […] med bla saknade lister och sand i bordslådor. Låskedja till ytterdörr fanns, men det saknades någonstans att fästa kedjan i dörren. Poolen ok. Badrum ok trots det saknades dörrlist. Les mer
