Vi er fire eldre damer som setter pris på å kunne røyke på rommene; beliggenheten er fin - midt imellom togstasjonen og Campo dei miracoli - bak hotellet en haug med restauranter etc, 100 meter til "borgoen" (gågata), butikker av alle slag i nærheten. Støyen fra Lungarno Pacinotti (tofelts enveiskjørt, mange busser) avtar kraftig om kvelden, vi sov […] godt, også sengene er meget bra. Hele hotellet er selvfølgelig gammelt og noe slitt, men personalet iler til der det trengs. Frokosten typisk italiensk, rikelig buffet med godt pålegg, tørket frukt, tomate, jogurt. Et trygt og sjarmerende sted, kommer gjerne tilbake, bl. a. for å se på alle bildene på veggene! Les mer

Et utrolig hyggelig hotell som gir deg mye igjen for pengene. Vakre antikke møbler i rommene, sjarm, hyggelig og serviceinnstillt betjening. Nydelig takterasse. Anbefales!

Et greit hotell med bra beligenhet. nærme resturanger og ikke så langt å gå til det skevetårnet. hotell rommet er overhode ingeting å skryte av blått bad og grønt gulv i soverommet men utenom det så er det ihvertfall rent og greit. overnattet her kun 1 dag hvor vi var innom pisa. helt greit for et kort opphold.

The hotel has an amazing atmosphere from the beginning of the century with antique furniture and a genuine feel of an old luxury hotel. The first impression was a big "wow", but when the night came the horror began. Even with windows facing the backyard the noise from the streets was immense, you could even hear normal conversation clearly; it felt […] like you literately were sleeping on the pavement! Sleep is essential and maybe new double isolated windows will distort the "originality" of the hotel - but I can not recommend a hotel where you get no sleep. Les mer

Gammelt hotell med stolt historie som dokumenteres med gamle fotografier og møbler/inventar. Hyggelig betjening, deilig takterasse, noe uro utenfor på kvelden, men vi sovnet likevel.

Veldig ålreit hotell med god frokost til Italia å være, samt med en svøært koselig takterrasse.

Vi var 2 venniner som dro til Pisa for å bo på dette hotellet i 4netter. Det er gammel stil fra mange tiår tilbake, men utrolig flott hotel! Vi hadde bad på vårt rom, noe som var veldig deilig og aircondition. Veldig stort rom. Frokosten var super bra! Det var så mye å velge mellom, men kunne gjerne tenkt meg litt større brød utvalg en bare de ene rundstykkene. […] Men ellers super bra mat! Og veldig koslig salong hvor enn spiste. Beligheten er så og si midt i sentrum. Du har alt rundt deg på kun gåavstand. Kort vei til tårnet og central stajonen f.eks. Kunne ikke vært bedre. De som jobbet på hotellet var også utrolig hyggelige og behjelpelige, noe som er veldig bra. God engelsk var det også hos dem. Drar du til Pisa, anbefaler vi begge 2 at dere bor på dette hotellet. Sentralt fint hotell rett ved elven i en av de gamleste bygningene i Pisa. Høyt under taket og ikke helt moderne men fint. Fantastisk personell som ga meget god service da vi ba om hjelp til å finne busstider og annet hotell i annen by. Kan trygt anbefales. Det er også veldig sentralt. Vi kommer gjerne igjen. Hotellet er perfekt plassert sentralt i Pisa med elven Arno. Det er et stilfullt gammel hotell, som kanskje ikke er oppdatert til moderne standart, men det er egentlig en del av sjarmen. Betjeningen er som ellers i Toscana vennlig og imøtekommende. Store rom. Vi bor gjerne på hotellet, hvis vi kommer til Pisa igjen.

Hotellet har sjel og er i gammel engelsk stil. Det er høyt under taket. Rommene er forskjellige, Noen i gammel stil som er sjarmerende, men alle var tilfredse med rommene. Resepsjonen var veldig hjelpsom og profesjonell. Beliggenheten så midt i ssentrum som det går an med beliggenhet ut mot elven. Kan anbefales

Hotellet hadde god service, veldig gamle og sjarmerende rom og en koselig liten takterasse i 4. etasje. En del støy fra gaten på natt til lørdag, likte likevel hotellet så godt at jeg godt kunne bruke det igjen:-))

Artig hotell i gammel stil. Fine og store rom med vindu mot bakgate og derved stille og rolig. Meget sentralt beliggende mellom tårnet og stasjon/flyplass. Bra frofostbuffet og ikke minst meget gunstig pris.

Hotellet ligger rett ved hovedveien som går langs kanalen i Pisa, men inne var det ikke mye støy. Vi endte opp med et rom inn mot bakgården. Litt støy fra restauranter osv, men ikke forstyrrende. Hotellet er veldig gammelt, over alt står gamle møbler, speil, flygler, det er fire/fem meter under taket og rommene er møblert med flotte, gamle møbler. Et […] hotell med sjel! Det er nyoppusset og alt er satt tilbake til sin opprinnelige stand. Det er dessuten kort avstand til supre restauranter og ting å se på. Anbefales! Les mer

En helt spesiell opplevelse og følelse av hotellet som har en gjennomført stil fra 1800-tallet, og moro at så mye er bevart. Hotellet ligger sentralt og har gåavstand til det meste. Store romslige rom, gode senger og god frokost. Takterrassen er idyllisk.

Historic quaint hotel with lots of charm. Easy walking distance to to all the attractions, cafes and shopping. Rooms comfortable but some need a little updating. Very friendly and efficient staff, good continental breakfast. would definitely stay here again :-)

Gammelt og sjarmerende hotell. Vi hadde et MEGET stort rom med klassiske antikke møbler og lysekrone etc. Ikke noe AC, safe, kjøleskap etc. Dørene virket veldig tynne og ikke akkurat innbruddssikre, så legg pass/verdisaker i resepsjonen. Meget bra og serviceinstilt betjening. Gode engelskkunnskaper.

Hyggeleg og gammalt hotell med god plassering. Rommet hadde eit noko slitt preg, men det vart oppveigd av ein god porsjon sjarm. Hotellet har også ei kjensle av ærverdigheit over seg. Bra hotell for pengane.

Flott hotell med fin terasse på taket, men dessverre ikke med utsikt. Hotellet ligger i kort gangavstand fra det skjeve tårnet og i nærhete av shoppinggaten.

Great location, 5/10 mins from the tower and right next to the market area and nightlife (Pisa's pretty small anyway), and along the river front which is great. Hotel is quite quirky - haven't been to a hotel with an actual old brass key for your room for a long time, and it does look like it was a boarding school once. Our shower did leak unfortunately […] but they did come and sort things out for us immediately which was brilliant. Overall an enjoyable stay. Les mer

friendly front staff and very helpfull. the hotel is in the middle of the city, really close to all must-see sights.

It was the worst hotel that i have stayed. The bathroom was the dirtiest. I didnt see a bathroom where you have to worry about leg room! I have taken few pictures showing the dirty bath room, but there is no option to upload them.The thin mattress was on a cheap bed and it made a loud noise even if i turned slightly. I wonder if the positive feed backs […] were entered by the hotel itself. The only good thing is that the breakfast was free, which id not find it in other hotels i stayed in Italy. Great value for money- If you are expecting five star then expect to pay five star prices, and perhaps Victoria with its warm atmosphere is not for you. We stayed in six hotels around Tuscany and this was favorite.The staff were friendly, informative and helpful. The hotel was in a good location near to train station, and leaning tower. Hotel and bedroom […] was authentic, with lots of varied furnishings and decor to look at, in fact we spent a good hour just looking around the hotel rooms and looking out at some of the balcony views. Breakfast Buffet was good with fab coffee. The terrace was a real sun trap, we ordered a coffee which came with biscuits and a smile. The only downside we found was that we were only staying one night , and on suites had been taken, the shared toilet needed clean and fix as seat would not go down. The Victoria was recommended to us, and we certainly would recommend it to others. Les mer

Great hotel! We weren't that far from anything and we were within walking distance from the Leaning Tower. Hotel is old but clean. Front desk managers are extremely nice and very helpful. Breakfast was GREAT!! Truly enjoyed it. We had a great view. The AC didn't work (we stayed here in March when the weather wasn't hot, but a bit cool) but we couldn't […] open the windows to get any kind of air circulation. We loved the key to the open; very old fashion and charming. Although we only stayed here one day, we would definitely stay here again (but probably not during summer time.) Les mer

Stayed here on the way back from Florence to Dublin with my daughters. We all adored this hotel, it made such a lovely change from the small basic room we stayed in Florence . On arrival we were upgraded to a superior room free of charge. The staff were friendly and helful. As we had an early flight leaving before Breakfast we were told there would […] be coffee, juice etc and light snack in the lobby from 4.30am . We loved the old world feel to the Hotel. I would not hesitate to reccommend this hotel and will most definitely stay again when in Pisa. If in Pisa Book this hotel !! oh and location is perfect :) Les mer

Wonderfull hotel with amazing crew. The view to the arno is beautifull. The crew is very helpfull abd provides information about almost everything. The rooms are very big and comftorable equipted. Great location. A very good 3 stars hotel to a perfect vacation in a wonderfull city.

On the river. 20 euro for 24 hours secure parking. 2 euro an hour for poor signal wi fi. Good breakfast.

Comfortable old hotel conveniently located midway between train station and the Leaning Tower. Easy walking distance to main sites. The room needs some updating. Bed covering was worn and torn.

Built in 1939, the Royal Victoria Hotel feels like staying in a museum. Staff was friendly and the room was clean, but I wish someone had told me to stay in Florence and taken a few hours to see the tower instead of staying in Pisa. It really didn't feel like a safe city, and the restaurant choices weren't that great.

The room seemed clean, superficially, but there was an overpowering bad smell. I had a hard time sleeping because of the noise from the street, until 2:00am, and then the noise on my floor in the hotel from 2:00am to 6:00am. This is a hotel for college students apparently who are very loud all night even during the week. Judging from the signs posted […] in the hotel many of them become too drunk and fall into the river. The bed was very small and made a lot of noise; I think it was about 50 years old. On the plus side, the location is good and the room was very cheap. Les mer

It gives a historical feeling and the small garden at level 4 is nice. However the noise from the disco nearby is hard to be ignored. The room hv a strange smell. The hotel is near the riverside and not hard to find. The breakfast hv many choice.

Must have been great in its hay day. Very centrally located. Bedrooms are very basic, but the staff were very helpful and the breakfast spread was impressive. Overall very good value for money

I loved this hotel. The service was great, very historical and close to everything. The only down side was that my room backed up to the alley and it was filled with people partying until 2-3 in the morning. I read a previous blog about this, so I brought ear plugs and it helped. I would return again.

For 2 backpacking females the hotel was easily accessible by foot from the train station and the major sites. The location on the river is a delight of an evening, and there are plenty of welcoming restaurants and cafès nearby, away from the more tourist-orientated establishments. Spent only one night, but that was a good one. Staff is very friendly, room clean, shared bathroom clean and had hot water. Did not have the chance to taste the breakfast buffet, but it smelled very nice! Location is just perfect, far better than staying close to the leaning tower. It is only 10min walk to the tower anyway, and very close to the shopping […] & pedestrian streets. I would definitely recommend this hotel and even go back if I had to stop by Pisa again. Les mer

This is a lovely old hotel, full of charm! Our room was really clean and comfortable. If you want to step back in time from the hustle and bustle of some modern hotels then this is the place to stay! The staff were really polite and helpful, reminiscent of bygone days.

The breakfast was really good and the hotel staff were incredibly accommodating. The hotel isn't far from the train station, the main shopping street, the main eating district and the Leaning Tower. It's very well positioned for anyone who has not been to Pisa before. However, try to get a room on the left hand side of the hotel (if you're looking […] at it from the street outside) because there is an alley way on the right hand side and if you're in those rooms then sleep is impossible. The alley is incredibly loud and busy all night. The noise was ridiculous and although this is not the hotel's fault, you will need earplugs if you want to stay here. I shared a toilet and bathroom at the hotel. The toilet was close to my room and it was clean, however if you're in a rush to get to the loo and you're staying alone then beware because the locks on the doors are difficult to operate and it may take you a few minutes before you can figure them out! I also shared the shower room which was a floor above mine. There was hardly any water pressure, the showerhead was broken and because I was the third one in that morning, it wasn't as clean as I would have liked. None of that should put you off though! The hotel is really well situated and Pisa is a fantastic city with loads of lovely restaurants and sights and it should definitely be on your Italian adventure list. The hotel reception is also willing to keep your bags for you when you've booked out but want to explore the city and they were incredibly accommodating when I returned during a downpour and asked to use the bathroom and sit in the reception area for a while. If it's not raining then you could also go up to the 4th floor where they have a terrace which is absolutely beautiful. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Les mer

The Royal Victoria Hotel is interesting as a historic place, which they have made good use of by a display of old photos etc showing illustrious visitors and events in the past. The layout of the rooms (sets of rooms off a large lobby or hall) is also of interest, and the public rooms are quite grand. However, the rooms are also rather historic in […] their services and furniture, not in a good way. There were hardly any power sockets in our room, and although there were two bedside lights, only one could be plugged in. It wasn't as clean as Italian hotels usually are either. Also, our room (with window opening on the smelly alley to the side of the hotel) was very noisy, but it was Saturday night. We didn't have an en-suite room, and so the toilet was separate and the shower was two floors above (but wash basin and bidet in the room). The breakfast was good though and the price was not expensive. Because of the interesting historical character of the hotel I think it is worth a visit, but don't expect luxury or even much comfort. On the river front in the central of Pisa. Rooms are old fashioned and tired looking, but clean and spacious. Staff are helpful, and breakfast fine, but don't have the coffee. You can order a drink to have on the terrace to get away from the city heat and bussle. Just 15 minutes walk from the Field of Dreams (incl Duomo and Tower). Look out for old […] palaces on the way. Eat and drink in the market area behind the hotel for good value and quality. Les mer

This hotel is very easy to get to by bus from the airport or train station. Its also easy to walk from here to the leaning tower and the main areas of Pisa. The rooms were just ok, with having a communal toilette and shower and not many facilities. The terrace is lovely and breakfast was good.

A lovely hotel with very friendly helpful staff. Excellent location. Request a room on the fourth floor for easy access to the pretty atmospheric roof terrace.
