Enkelt og bra hotell i Europeisk stil (les: litt shabby), meget sentralt. Hyggelig betjening, rent og ikke spesielt lytt. Veldig bra valuta for pengene. Anbefales!

Hotellet ligger meget sentralt til med kort vei til det meste. Komfortabelt, rent og god service. Gratis vinsmaking og nakkemassasje ved siden av resepsjonen fra 17-18 (meget praktisk etter en hektisk dag med sightseeing og shopping). :-)

Et fint og rent hotell med hyggelige ansatte. Ingenting negativt å si om hotellet, men nabolaget har en del uteliggere i noen kvartaler ned mot sentrum. Opplevde derimot ikke noe ubehagelig. Det er også svært kort vei ned til sentrumsområdet og Market street, og taxi er veldig billig slik at man slipper å gå på kveldstid. Fint hotell i forhold til hvor billig det var!

Hotellet ligger svært sentralt både for shopping og opplevelser i San Francisco. Vi trivdes svært godt der, og vil sannsynligvis vurdere hotellet neste gang vi skal til San Francisco. Hotellet er litt slitt, men rent og hyggelig. Personellet er ikke overhjelpsomme, men tar man kontakt og spør om hjelp så hjelper de deg!

Sjøløvene soler seg ved butikkene på Pier 39 ved Fisherman’s Wharf. Fra sjokoladefabrikken på Ghirardelli Square like i nærheten kommer en eim av det søte liv. Fra Pier 33 går båtene til Alcatraz. Byen og Golden Gate Bridge glitrer fra Coit Tower på Telegraph Hill. Litteraturen lever og ånder i den berømte bokhandelen City Lights i North Beach. Washington Square Park er hjertet i dette historiske italienske området.

Hotellet ligger i et rolig strøk og trygt strøk i Lombard Street. Enket hotel, men rimelig og greit for en familie med to ungdommer. Gikk til Fishermans Wharf på 15 minutter, men kunne også ta en buss ned. Hop in-hop off bussen stoppet ikke langt fra hotellet.
Rent og fint hotell,god seng,bra renhold,mye trafikk på lombard street gir støy på rommet, jeg vil bruke coventry motor inn på neste reise til San Francisco.

Had checked this motel out on trip advisor prior to booking and some comments were negative. Our 4 night experience was perfect. We requested a quiet room and were given one. Room was well equiped and spotlessly clean, and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful with any requests, from local travel information or to when our room safe […] was faulty, which the manager took care of personally, even offering to move us to accomodate the problem. Would not hesitate to recommend this motel to family or friends, and the price and location were also good - close to buses with quality breakfast at the homeplate down the road and the excellent Thai restaurant across the road. Great value place to stay. Les mer

Excellent hotel, older but clean. All employees at front desk were extremely helpful and friendly. Gave us great details on how and where to use public transportation. Parking was included, which is a great savings for SF.

"One of the Better Ones"
There are dozens of relatively cheap motels along this section of Lombard Street and this seems to be one of the better ones. Nothing fancy, but clean, heated, not too noisy - and free parking, which isn't always the case in SF. Handy location - Lombard Street itself is a bit seedy in this area, but it's walking distance to lots of hip restaurants and […] little boutiques and a few minutes drive to many other tourist sites. "Coventry on Lombard"
Excellent room and convenient offstreet parking at no additional cost. Very reasonable rate for SF. Downside is outside street noise from Lombard as commuter traffic starts at about 6:30am. Also, there was a street person outside of the motel at about 5:30am ranting and raving, woke me up.

Because it's on a main road there is traffic noise, but it is very easy to walk to bus stops for the centre etc. The Muni transport system is very good in San Francisco. Parking at the Coventry is a small area on ground level or, where we had to park, one level below ground which is monitored by a video camera we were told. Access to the rooms is by […] room card to doors to a lift. We weren't aware of neighbours so our 2nd floor room seemed quite well sound-proofed. "Good hotel, convenient location"
Stayed in this hotel for one night during a weekend in San Francisco, and I was very happy with the choice. The surrounding area has many options for food, and the location is very convenient to the Marina area. Free parking was a great convenience, too. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Within walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf, shops, restaurants, museums. Room was comfortable, well-appointed and clean. Great way to be in the heart of the city!
"Wonderful Parking"
My husband and I spent two nights at the Coventry Motor Inn. Our room was quiet, clean and comfortable which is what we asked for. We walked two or three blocks for a good breakfast at a dinner. We changed rooms sacrificing space for quiet. We might have deserved a lower rate but we were in a hurry and didn't push it. The great benefit was being able […] to locate the Inn quickly and obtain good safe parking. The garage area is well maintained and clean, also well lit with the check in booth in the middle of the garage. I would have liked to have some conditioner along with the shampoo. Only one small piece of soap and no writing pad. It is a hike to Fisherman's wharf so be prepared to walk. All in all we got what we paid for, to do better would have cost more. Satisfied. Les mer

Coventry was nice enough, loved the bed & the parking. Had a grumpy desk clerk, though, who originally had us in a room with 2 full beds, not the 1 king I had booked. 'Vince' grudgingly switched us, and the rest of our stay was fine after that.

I was pleased with my stay at the Coventry Motor Inn. Being located in the Marina District, it is in short traveling distance to Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf, Downtown, the "historic" Lombard Street and the Presidio. It is easily accessible by car and public transit. The room was very clean and comfortable-- the material condition of the entire hotel […] showed the staff has maintained the maintained the facility very well. The front desk staff was attentive and friendly. They were very helpful in finding places to eat that are in short walking/driving distance of the hotel. The only drawback to the Coventry is that it is located on the multi-lane part of Lombard St, which at times will have heavy traffic and on Friday and Saturday nights, somewhat loud revelers going up and down the street. Other than that, I was very pleased with this hotel and will most likely stay here again the next time I am in San Francisco. Les mer

The location was great for the waterfront and Marina area - about a 10 minute walk away. We had a room at the back which was very quiet. It is on a busy road and a corner so the back rooms would be best I would imagine. Staff were very helpful and an overall great experience

I wasn't sure about this place or the neighborhood when I made the reservation, going only by maps & trying to judge location that way, but it turned out to be a pretty good spot. Convenient to get to from highway without driving in a lot of city traffic. We basically picked it for the free parking and didn't need to use the car at all. We do a lot […] of walking though (walk to Fisherman's Wharf about 20 minutes). Convenient to tour bus stops & lots of nice restaurants a couple of blocks towards water and then towards GG bridge. Didn't know till the morning we were leaving that if we had walked 2 blocks UP the hill next to hotel we would have been in a nice shopping area with a wonderful French bakery/restaurant. Les mer

Nice hotel - spacious rooms, free parking a plus in SF, although a little walk to the big sights but not bad if you're able bodied. No refidgerator, which would be nice since there isn't breakfast. Clean and classy.

The pictures from the outside don't tell the whole story. This place was really nice. It is a combination of a motel on the outside (FREE parking in a really clean, secure garage) and an upscale hotel on the inside. Everything was CLEAN and the beds were very comfortable (tempur-pedic like). Within walking distance of nice shops and eateries on Union. A/C Inoperative. Appears to be a common problem with the new A/C setup from renovation attempts and they were aware! Wish they told me before! No sleep that evening. In compensation, I was offered a discount to stay again......? Thankfully Hotel.Com stepped up with a reasonable discount on any hotel for me and my family at a later date.

We left our camera in the taxi when we arrived and Londyn (front desk clerk) took it upon herself to deal with the taxi company in getting our camera back. This allowed us to start our sightseeing right away instead of dealing with locating our camera. What exceptional service!!!! She went above and beyond what was expected. Could not have asked for a nicer place to stay for the money. The location is great, the free parking is a big savings and the rooms have just been remodeled. We liked everything about our stay at this hotel. But be sure to ask for a room on the back side of the hotel. It is the quiet side.

We stayed at the Coventry Motor Inn during a recent trip to California. The room was large and had recently been refurbished with a super comfortable bed and a large flatscreen TV. The bathroom was nice and the shower was good. Staff were incredibly helpful. The hotel is located in the Marina district which is a really nice neighbourhood and a really […] convenient area to see the sights. About 3 blocks away there are a large number of restaurants and bars and one block away you can catch the bus to downtown. There's also a grocery store next to the hotel. We had a hire car, so the free parking was a must given the premium which is placed on parking in SF. All in all, a really nice hotel at a reasonable price. Les mer

newly renovated rooms make this a very comfortable stay. we booked a city tour from the hotel and the tour picked us up at the door. all of San Fran is hilly so no matter where you walk there is always a walk up some incline. the walk to fishermans wharf was easy and not too steep. I originally chose this hotel mostly due to the fact that it has ample indoor free parking! .. which is not too common in San Francisco, but also due to it's location and past reviews. I was generally very happy with all aspects and will stay there again next time I visit the city. Some of the previous reviews have recommended 'Mels Diner,' which I […] can totally agree with. This is a reproduction fifties style themed diner which is only a few mins walk from the hotel along Lombard Street, in the direction of the Golden Gate Bridge etc. This place is great for breakfasts of any kind, but also excellent for lunches or evening meals. The hotel is about twenty five mins walk from Fishermans Wharf, from where you can also have easy access to the cable car system and boat trips to Alcatraz etc. Happy to recommend! Les mer

The hotel is perfect if you are looking for some original charm of old San Francisco. It has that 'museum smell' without smelling old. It really brings you back in time. The hotel is convenient to local restaraunts, and very close to all the historic sights in the city. We chose not to walk to any of the sights, but it would have been about 20-30 minutes […] walking to the pier.
