Oppholdet var bra, ble møtt i døren av personalet, fikk hjelp med koffert opp til rommet. Frokost var veldig bra og de var serviceinnstilt. Fine rom og gode senger. Bra størrelse på badet var det også.

"Hotel Athenaum i Firenze - Pent hotel m bra beligg"
Bra beliggenhet og med kun 4 kvartaler ned til berømte "Cattedrale Santa Maria del Fiore" lå hotellet meget sentralt til. Veiene rundt hele sentrum og hotellet var skjermet for vanlig biltrafikk, noe som gjorde området meget stille og rolig. Bra kvalitet på hotellet til Italiensk standard å være. Frokost alltid inkludert, denne hadde også helt OK standard […] i pene lokaler og man ble alltid tilbudt valgfri kaffe da man ankom bordet om morgenen. Rommene var veldig rene og pene, sengene var også gode. Pass på! >For bilturister: Ingen innkjøring til sentrum av Firenze uten bøter. Hotellet ordner med kommunen dersom du skulle være uheldig å kjøre igjennom. Bare husk å si i fra ved ankomst. >Firenze har turistskatt på 4 euro per person per natt og denne blir det ikke opplyst om før du står med regningen i hånda da du skal dra. Mao mange netter med stor familie kan gi en kostbar avskjed. Les mer

"They try to nickle and dime you for everything!"
Do not go to this Hotel. First they charged me 25 Euros for some municipal tax per night. 6 Euros of a plate of ice from the Bar and they tried to convince me to park there for 30 Euros a night because I would get a fine parking in the street. No fines were given for free street parking. Overall a very negative impression, there are better hotels out […] there that they have a professional business demeanor and not this hustler style tourist trap. I would never stay here again! "Wonderful hotel in a vital via of Firenze"
Very good hotel in a main via of Firenze very near of San Marco Piazza and the center of the city, where everything happens. Very good design, very clean, great service and the personnal is also wonderful. It's a must have. As a slightly negative point i must refer the breakfast, which offers a limited number of options, but that's ok.

It's a bit of a walk to the Uffici, etc., but we're talking 20 minutes instead of 10. Great room, excellent downstairs bar and restaurant, wonderful staff, on a quiet street.
"Comfortable"
Great hotel in terms of comfort, but not really that central to the main sites especially in 40deg heat with a 2year and 60 year old. But then again, you get what you pay for. Breakfast choices could have been bigger/better considering how busy they were and also of the rating of the hotel, surely they could have done a bit better in this respect.
"Athenaeum - Nice hotel - walkable to the sights"
Nice hotel, nearby to some of the sights in Florence, we didn't even need to use the car, we were able to walk to most of the things we wanted to see. Hotel was clean, staff was friendly enough, WiFi isn't great and can only support one device per room. Other than that I would recommend it. We stayed for 4 days, 3 nights were in a nice room, we added […] another night and were given a different room, big difference, if that was our room the whole stay I would have been disappointed. Check out your room first. Our second room also had no wifi signal at all. If you get one of the nice rooms, I'd recommend the place. Les mer

"Confortable and fairly central"
Nice hotel with modern and clean rooms and facilites. Rooms not that spacious but nice. Good service which speaks ok english. Free internet Breakfast good. 10 min work to city center.
"Great Hotel in Florence"
This is a great hotel, it is close enough to walk to all the sites but far enough away from the center to get quiet nights sleep. The hotel was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The room and bathroom was clean, bathroom a good size. Nice fitness room and great breakfast. They also have two computers that you can use free of charge (one wasn't working […] on the last day). The staff was professional and helpful, especially Alessandro (sp?) one of the night staff. The only thing I would suggest is to replace the hallway carpeting, it was a bit dirty. Les mer
The hotel was great. the front desk folk were nice but didn't necessarily go out of their way to provide information @ sites. nonetheless they were courteous. i would stay there again.

Nice clean hotel. Cost about 25 Euro to get from Airport to hotel. Very quiet neighborhood and within walking distance of the Dumo (cathedral). Breakfast was fine. Beds nice and firm.

Hotel was in good location abt 15 min walk to Duomo. Hotel was modern and very well designed. Room was perfect size and the included breakfast was amazing. Also not to be forgotten is the free Wi-Fi connection which is a luxury in Italy. (in other hotels they were charging 9 euros for 30 minutes). Personel was very friendly and helpful.

Just a ten minute walk from Santa Maria del Fiore. Food is excellent and the staff were all very friendly. Enjoyed our stay, will go back here next time in Florence.

"Nice hotel, bad bed and poor breakfast."
This hotel looks very modern and everything was clean. Great location. One downside was the breakfast. After staying at 5 other hotels in Italy, this one had the least appetizing breakfast. They charged extra for things like eggs which I think is ridiculous. Another issue was the bed. It was very uncomfortable and the springbox squeaked like crazy. […] So each time me or my partner would move, we would wake the other up from all the noise. Since a good breakfast and a comfortable bed are the 2 most important things to me, I can't give the hotel very high marks unfortunately but it has lots of potential. Les mer
"With in walking distance to all major locations"
The hotel is close to the Piazza San Marc and is within walking distance from all of Florence's historic sites. Friendly staff, English speaking and helpful. The hotel rooms and bathrooms are modern and a decent size with a balcony. If in Florence will stay here again.

EXCELLENT little hotel in Florence. Rooms were clean and quaint, modern, the staff was very friendly and helpful. 5 minute walk to San Marco square, 10 minute walk to the Duomo. Very accecible. Highly recommended. Thanks
"Excellent Hotel in Florence"
We spent 3 nights in the Hotel Anathaneum and couldn't fault it at all. On arrival the staff were efficient, helpful & friendly. They understood that we'd had a long, tiring journey and didn't want to hang araound waiting to get into the room so they issued the key immediately and took care of the paperwork later. The Hotel restaurant food was excellent […] and when you make use of the residents discount ticket its also quite reasonably priced (3 course meal for just 27 Euros). A special mention must go to the 2 bar / restaurant staff Pedro & Joe who went out of their way to help with everything from selecting a good local wine to tips on the best places to visit in the city. If you can pay a bit extra and try to get a 4th floor room with a balcony so you can sit out morning & evening. Les mer

"Straight shot to Duomo"
Location is probably the best thing about hotel Athenaeum. It's a 10 - 15 minute (for slow people like me) walk down one street to the fantastic Duomo -- can't beat tha! The hotel is more high 3* than a 4* - less luxury and more tourist class. The decor aspires for "boutique" unique, and certainly wins points for breaking out of the beige, brown, floral […] bore that are the norm in many "contemporary" hotels. Athenaeum's color scheme is features bright splases of color and frosted glass (minimalist style). I got into it but one pair I met who were traveling on business preferred to relocate to a more traditional hotel with less of the "hip" factor. The hotel should pay attention to fine touches. I found nicks and scrapes along the wall of my room and the desk was a bit warped. These aren't minor things that come with normal wear and tear, but marks that you notice, which give the appearance of a hotel worn down. Some of the marks looked like dirty stains on teh walls. The bathroom, was super clean, crisp white, great (small but workable) glass shower. I found it modern and comfortable enough for me to enjoy, made me feel clean -- not all hotels can do that! I was also a bit disappointed in the laptop size TV -- call me spoiled, but it was an odd choice. Why not a normal TV? Front desk staff was great. The hotel has lots of windows in the communal area and huge windows in my room, so I saw tons of sunlight, which was really nice, despite the drabm industrial facade. I'd stay here again and will recommended it to anyone who doesn't require the luxury experience. Les mer

Abbiamo soggiornato in questo hotel i primi di dicembre, siamo stati colpiti subito dalla bellezza dell'hotel (all'interno piú che la facciata) che é in stile moderno ed è sicuramente stato ristrutturato da poco perché è tutto nuovo. L'ho scelto per festeggiare un anniversario importante ed è stato perfetto!! Il personale è gentilissimo, e in particolare […] la posizione (che per me è fondamentale) è ottima per visitare Firenze! Lo consiglio a tutti!! Ottima qualità /prezzo! Les mer

A double bed should have one matress and not two, because you always end falling into the middle of the two matresses.
