Flott nyoppusset leilighet, romslig med sentral beliggenhet. Min venn hadde en leilighet som ikke var nyoppusset så det var stor forskjell på kvalitet. Jeg var strålede fornøyd. Ingen resepsjon, men innsjekk og utsjekk fungerte bra. Anbefales!

Vi reiste på familietur til Island og var strålende fornøyde med leiligheten vår. Den ligger midt i hovedgata og har kort vei til alle severdighetene. Leiligheten var stor, romslig og hadde en fin planløsning. Hotellrommene er et annet sted i byen enn leiilghetene, men det er ikke langt unna. Det er også en fordel - spør du meg. Jeg har hatt to opphold på Welcome Apartments og vært svært fornøyd begge gangene. Hotellet ligger sentralt, rommene er rene og inneholder det man trenger. Det er ingen betjent resepsjon, men betjeningen er bare en gratis tlf unna. Angivelig skal man få en mail på forhånd der man får oppgitt romnummer og kode til nøkkelboksen. Dette fikk ikke vi noen […] av gangene, men da vi ringte fikk vi umiddelbart hjelp. Hotellet tilbyr hjelp til å bestille eskursjoner etc, men dette benyttet ikke vi oss av. Stor pluss var gratis P-plass i bakgården. Dette hotellet kommer vi ti å benytte oss av også i fremtiden. Les mer

Topp opphold. Når det gjelder kjøkkenavdelingen i leiligheten burde det vært montert en avtrekksvifte. Røykdetektor var kledd med gjennomsiktig plastpose og rømningsveiskilt hadde ikke lys.

Kjempefin beliggenhet, kort vei til gågate, handlestrøk og restauranter. Det eneste jeg vil utsette noe på er baderommet, veldig lite, har aldri sett så trang dusj før.

Veldig praktisk opplegg, men en liten ulempe at det ikke var noen ansatte tilstede hvis det var noen spørsmål. Litt usikkerhet omkring når håndklær etc ble skiftet ut. Ellers svært fornøyd med leiligheten, både kjøleskap/frys, mikro, brødrister, varmeplater, kaffetrakter og vannkoker.

At the bottom of the street there is the Viking boat sculpture, at the top of the street is the church, so it's hard to get lost. We managed a parking spot in the free hotel car park every night. Petrol station at end of street and 24hr mini supermarket only 5mins walk away so perfectly located. Our towels and bedding were changed once during our three […] night stay, which was just right. Had cbeebies on the tv so our little girl was happy. It was two single beds pushed together instead of a big bed, but I suppose a lot of hotels do that. No noise at all, and from our apartment we could see the sea out of one window and the church out of another. The kitchen had more than enough dishes and cutlery. Also had refrigerator, microwave, oven, tea towel, dish cloth, washing liquid, shampoo, toaster, 6 seater table, kettle and coffee machine supplied with filters ready for use. Someone had left a large box of sugar cubes I'm guessing from before which we found handy, so we left our cooking oil which we only used a bit of! For three of us, it was just what we needed. Everything was great about the apartment, very central. But be aware if you have a lot of luggage there isn't a lift and you will have to struggle upstairs with it.

We stayed 4 nights at Welcome Apartment over Easter and it is exactly what we expected. The location is perfect (right in the middle of the main shopping area), well equipped kitchen (although we did not get to use it- kettle, lots of pots, pans, plates, cutleries, knife), coffee maker, largish room with good tv channels. Our only complain is the small […] bathroom and shower but not a major problem. No problem with pick up from various tour companies from the hotel and the free printer and computer is really handy for online check-in. There is no one in the reception but not a problem for us at all. Overall well organised and highly recommended for the value. Les mer

Had an amazing stay at Welcome Apartments. Apartment was spacious, close to supermarket and mail shopping street. Lots of food places to choice from. Close to Tourism Infomation Centre and City centre. 2min walk to a mail bus line. What a fabulous place to stay

My apartment was really spacious, close to the main shopping road and supermarkets. Close to the sea front where you can see the Northern Lights if they are bright. Very centrally located. Hotel reception would do with a being more friendly and having more info about Iceland should be at reception. This was a large clean room with everything you need. Full kitchen, large living room with couch and separate sleeping room. In quiet side street in up-scale neighborhood just steps from the major shopping street of Reykjavik. The room was great. We had 3 adult women staying here. Our room had 2 twin beds & a futon. It had a kitchen w/all the necessities. There is not much privacy as it is all 1 big room (sleep area, futon/tv area, and kitchen) but it was clean. Bathroom was clean. In the shower you pull a curtain around you. The floor of the bathroom is also the floor of […] the shower so you can't really have more than 1 person in the bathroom (like brushing teeth while someone showers). This is not the hotel's fault as it's everywhere in Iceland, the water tastes & smells like sulfur. Be prepared for that. The staff wasn't overly friendly but they weren't unfriendly. After spending a couple days there we decided it is just their culture. Another thing we loved is they have storage. We arrived in Iceland prior to check-in time & the room was not ready so we were able to use a large closet type locker to store our luggage in while we went & had breakfast & walked around. Then came back & checked in. The main doors are locked. You have to ring a bell to be let in originally but they give you the code to get in once you've checked in. They have a computer w/printer available to use in their "lobby" area. I will definitely recommend to everyone & anyone. The tourist companies will pick you up at the hotel or you can just walk down to the one we used. Max 10 min walk. We walked to the church, took 10 min. We paid a total of $193.00 w/tax for 2 nights. We split it 3 ways so really I paid $64! Awesome deal! Les mer

This isn't really a hotel but more like renting an apartment or time share. We didn't receive the email with the code to enter the main door nor the code to the keybox at the apartment prior to our arrival. The landlord must live nearby as someone let us in and we used the free phone in the lobby to call him and he arrived within minutes. This was the […] largest place we stayed during our whole 2 weeks throughout Great Britain and northern Europe for a very good price. The kitchen was adequately stocked so we could prepare some meals there. The door locks were difficult and at first we couldn't lock the door to the back fire escape. The apartments are split over two locations about 10 minutes walk apart. We got a one bedroom with twin beds just 5 minutes walk away from the bars and clubs. It was clean, warm, cheap and had a well equipped kitchen. Highly recommended for a self catering break.

Although very comfortable and offering the appropriate facitlities in great condition and comfort, the best thing about the apartments was the location - just off the main street in Reykjavik, the wonderful picturesque shoreline, the harbour and the Grayline Bus Terminal - meaning that you were enough away from the town centre and touristy bits to get […] a good rest but when you wanted to get out, Reykjavik was right there waiting. We are 2 adults used to city breaks and other hols (albeit a few years ago) and we travelled with our 3 yearold son for his first foreign holiday. We all loved Reykjavik and we all loved the apartments. Recommend Grai Kotturinn on Hverfisgata for breakfast and Fru Berglaug on Laugavegur for lunch. There is a 10-11 (Co-op type store) about 5/10 mins walk from the apartments on Hverfisgata and a cheaper supermarket store called Bonus about 5/10 mins walk away. Les mer

The apartments are self service so there are no staff there. When you arrive you are given a pin code to access your room key & away you go. The room was large and consisted of 2 main areas - a kitchen / dining room and and a bedroom/living room. The furniture was modern but basic- ikea sort of stuff. There was also a very small bathroom (wet room style). […] The only mirror in the whole apartment is a tiny mirror in the shower with no socket nearby so not great for ladies drying hair and getting dressed etc. The best thing about this apartment really is the location - you are in the middle of Reykjavik 101 (the trendy area of town) and have all of the action on your doorstep. It is tucked down a side street so is very quiet although we did hear a few drunks walk past one night! We'd recommend it. :) Les mer

This is an excellent place to stay. It is a great location and the rooms are large and allow you to self-cater. We stayed in one of the apartments with a family of 4 and were very comfortable. The only problem with this hotel is that this does not have a reception and you need codes to get in through the main door and then to access your room key. […] I had not read this "small print" when I booked and turned up with my family late on a very slushy evening. We then discovered that there was no reception and had a very tense hour waiting for the staff to answer the phone to give us our keys. Stay at the hotel was nice. Rooms are very big and clean. There is also a big kitchen in it, so all that you needa, TV, internet (WiFi). They have a parking behind the building. It is located almost the the center of Reykavick. If you don`t need Hilton to stay in, then this one is pefrect.

Couldn't fault the place. There is no staff there, but the key collection and security entry details were very clearly stated in an email prior to arrival, so no need for staff. Room was very large and great value. Best accommodation we stayed at in Iceland.

The room we got was spacious, clean-- although bathroom quite small in contrast. When we showed up, suprised to find out that there was no person available for reception. This place uses a "self check in" that confused us (and people who showed up behind us). To get our room check in information/codes a person did come down to give us some numbers once […] we rang. In my opinion instead of trying to help us he seemed like we were wasting his time on a Saturday afternoon--did not say hello, just gave us a series of numbers. Not having used this kind of check in process any time in our travels there we asked some questions. When we asked him to repeat those numbers (with bags in our hands and meeting us on the landing we did not have anything to write with) he seemed quite annoyed. Not a great welcome. Also, our room confirmation print out very clearly stated that we would have a partial ocean view and view of the courtyard--this was certainly not the case for us, we had a view of the apartments across from us and the cement "courtyard"/parking lot. There was no way we were going to have an ocean view from this building! So very disappointed and I think extremely misleading but given our reception experience, figured we would not "bug" the reception person again, didn't think he'd help us even if he could. Having said all that, location was good--easy walk to main streets. Not sure I'd pick it again if I had the choice though. Les mer

Lovely and contemporary studio with basic kitchen and good natural light, but the tiny, outdated bathroom was a letdown. The shower had only a curtain and no way to keep water from getting all over the entire floor. We couldn't brush our teeth in that sink because it was so tiny and had a shelf over it. Also, make sure you get the email that the owner […] supposedly sends with the keypad codes, etc. or it will be confusing trying to find your way in! Although the service is questionable (the manager, e.g., was visibly annoyed when we, having lost the access code, rang the doorbell for him to let us in when we arrived), the apartments are clean, comfortable, and convenient--definitely worth the fairly low price.

A bunch of apartments very close to central shopping streets. Those are the only good things about this place. We stayed for one night in ap-t 101, which was in half-basement type floor (unpleasant surprise) and not very clean. Next morning the cleaning lady barged in and was very dissapointed we were still there. She came in again at 12:10 to basically […] throw us out, because she had to "clean" the apartment (based on what we saw, it was not quite clear what she meant by cleaning). hotellet låg perfekt: mellan havet och gågatan i lilla Rejkavik. Trevligt, lugnt område och mysiga och stora rum...De bästa restaurangerna i staden ligger på gångavstånd...och du kan nästan se havet från rummets fönster!Vi kommer tillbaka!

Udemærket lejlighed. Dog ingen reception så man skal selv tjekke ind/ud. For at komme ind er det nødvendig at have en kode til døren, vi måtte dog selv kontakte hotellet da bekræftelses-mailen med information ikke automatisk blev sendt. Alle lejligheder i første plan (f.eks. 106) er beliggende i kælder højde, hvilket var ret generende da folk ude på […] gaden kunne kigge ind, så spørg efter en lejlighed på 2. eller 3. sal.
