Disney's All-Star Music Resort - Lake Buena Vista

For the money you can't go wrong most of the time you are in the parks anyway the buses were great and always on time never had to wait long.

As with all things Disney we found the Hotel excellent and the grounds to be park like. Disney always shines. The found that the food on site was great.

Property was clean. Beds moderately comfortable. The back buildings are a bit of hike to the front, so be prepared, especially with young kids and/or older grandparents. There are no microwaves or coffee makers in the fridge, Disney tries to get you on food. In general, it was nice to be on Disney property. Shuttles were efficient, no cars needed.

It was great. We will be going back again.

We stayed in the music resort during April for 8 nights. It was a great location and provided easy access to all of the Disney parks. We stayed in the back of the resort and it is not very far to walk to the bus like some people have commented. The rooms were very clean and beds very comfortable. We unfortunately didn't get to go in the pool, though […] they looked great, as we spent most of our time in the parks. We were at the parks from morning to 12pm at night. So you really only need a cheap room. Even with 8 days in Disney World we only got to go to the four main parks and we still didn't see everything. The staff at the resort were extremely helpful and gave you the full Disney experience. My daughter received a balloon, a birthday badge and was called princess by all the staff. We loved this resort and would defiantly stay again. The rooms are also being done up at the moment so they will be even better. Les mer

Loved staying at the All Star Music resort - very clean and met our needs very well. Super friendly staff - easy check in and check out.

Whenever we visit Disney World we always stay at a Disney Resort. We have tried many different Disney Resorts and were very pleasantly surprised with Disney All Star Music. For one of their budget resorts, everything was top notch. Absolutely no complaints. Very clean, Disney decor is fun, room was immaculate and in perfect condition - no wear and tear. […] The food court was clean and well priced and tasty. All the Disney employees go the extra mile with a friendly hello and a smile. The Disney transportation system to the parks is an added bonus. They had afternoon activities at the pool for the children which was nice also. And for the price, it's hard to beat. We would surely stay there again. Les mer

This is a decent hotel. The rooms are clean. The staff was nice, as they are everywhere in Disney World. Probably the biggest downside to the hotel is the food offerings. They have one cafeteria style restaurant with 5 different stations that have different food at each. The choices got old quick, and getting to anything else is quite a hassle, because […] there is nothing very close. In addition, we had a suite, which only had a sink, small under counter refrigerator, and a microwave. Where to start? My room was smaller than any motel six room for 4 times the price. My room smelled like mold, probably due due the carpet around the AC(which didn't work) being soaked. I had long hairs all over both beds. So I called to get my sheets changed and nobody ever showed up. After letting the manager know about this stuff upon checkout he […] could of cared less an dist even apologize! I travel and stay in a lot of different hotels ranging from that motel six to ritz carletons and this is by far my worst experience. Not magical at all! Les mer

The rooms were too small, no hot tub at the outside pool. The grounds were to big which made it uncomfortable. Room needs remodeling.

This resort was pricey for the quality but the trade off was Disney transportation and the fact that we did not need a rental car. It was adequate. Disney is always very clean and neatly kept. Worth the price.

Staff members were excellent and buiding maintenance was excellent. The reason I did not give excellent rating was there was no microwave or fridge in the room, but the biggest problem was the television was limited to Disney propaganda and when I asked staff about outside sightseeing or other interests they clearly avoided subject which clearing became […] obvious they were trained to avoid informing anything to anyone that was not Disney and as a first time visitor to Florida this was a definite setback. Was booked for a King bed and got a room with 2 full size beds. Room and facilities were extremely outdated. Very expensive for the quality. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone!

definitely a no frills hotel...no fridge, no free wifi. got lost on the way there, but once we found it, location was great, service was OK. free parking at the MK was a bonus. major downside was the no frills room. otherwise OK for the money.

I've stayed at Disney resorts for many years, including the All Star resorts. This particular resort is beginning to show its age and lack of care. Chipped paint , cobwebs, etc. The food court was extremely crowded and the employees, in general, were lackluster at best. Very few smiles. Definitely not the image Disney tries to convince you they still […] have. That said, the rooms here are a good size and was clean. I prefer to drive to the parks myself, however, the resort is very convenient for those wanting not wanting to drive. Les mer

We had a great stay at the hotel. Disney made everything very easy and we had a blast.

It is the perfect option if you want enjoy your vacations. The hotel has many choices for breakfast, and the machines to refill sodas and coffe is always abailable. You have buses at the door of the hotel which take you for free at the parks and downtown. Everything was very convinient.

Stayed with my boyfriend at the All Star music resort for 6 nights from Jan 21-27th and it was perfect for our budget! Our first time visiting Disney World and this hotel didn't disappoint - especially since it was our first stay at a Disney property. I requested a quite room a month before our arrival, and they gave us a 3rd floor room in the Country […] building - third to last room facing some trees and a small pond. I was a bit concerned about the distance at check in, but it turned out to be a fairly quick walk - not even 5 minutes. Still an easy walk even after 8 hours at the park. Room was in great condition, even seemed recently renovated - including a new LCD tv. Beds were two full beds, which seemed a bit small for the both of us but we managed just fine. The walk was worth it as our building was always quiet and we never heard our neighbors - unlike the busier buildings closer to the pools. The quick service cafeteria had enough options to have something different every day - nothing fancy, but we loved the turkey dinner. We shared one of those refillable mugs - saved us a lot of money! Bus service to the parks was always quick (never waited more than 10 minutes), although the wait is longer if returning to the hotel right when a park closes since that is when everyone is trying to head back. Service was great as well, everyone was always helpful and accommodating. Magical Express pick up and drop off was easy and efficient. This will be our choice of hotel when we go back! Perfect value, had all the essentials and we didn't need any of the extra luxuries in the more expensive hotels. Les mer

Great value for money with all the advantages of staying at Disney. You can get in earlier and stay later than outside guests at certain parks. Good eatery on hotel site with big choice and great value drinks. Buy a Disney mug with unlimited drinks and you can help yourself to soda, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, water as much as you like during your stay. […] Eatery and drinks are available until approx 11pm, pools open until midnight. Buses to the different parks of Disney World are very convenient. Be prepared to walk long distances as Disney World and the hotel are very spread out; however, you can hire scooters or pushers if people can't walk long distances. Disney is also wheelchair friendly. This is a great value hotel for people on a budget who still love Disney. More luxurious hotels are available for greater cost. Consider that you won't be in your room much though as Disney World is so much fun! Take the free Disney bus to Downtown Disney, catch a taxi to the closest outlet centre in Orlando, for great shopping. There's even a Disney shop there for cheaper last season's stock - great for souvenirs and Mickey doesn't date. Currency exchange there too which has better rates than the Disney hotel. Les mer

We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights in the All Stars. The first night was fine. The second night we were there a large group of teens from south america checked in and were comingled with the rooms of families. The group came back from the parks around 10 and continued to party in the walkways till around 11:20pm. There were signs posted everywhere that […] it was a quiet zone from 9pm on. Soon after the group in the room below turned up the music and had a party. We called security and asked them to quiet down the party. Ten minutes after security left the party picked back up. I called again after 12. At 1am the crank calls started every half an hour. I finally called the front desk for the third time. They had to put a block on my phone to stop the calls. When I went to the manager in the morning I was told they were very sorry. I let them know there were empty beer cans outside many of the rooms as well. My feed back to them was not to book families with the large groups of traveling teens. There must have been around 200 kids and not enough chaperones. The chaperones did not do a great job of watching the kids. I said, why was I the one who had to call, didn't security take care of this. She told me if I had spent a little more $ and stayed in a moderate hotel I probably would not have had that problem! Seriously. Why should I have been penalized for not spending enough $ to have a decent night's sleep? I explained to her that many average families save for a year or two sometimes just for the chance to go to Disney. It was THEIR responsibility to protect my vacation. I then told her although the Disney transportation is fine, I'd rather stay outside the park, spend less on the room, pay the 15.00 parking, and get a good nights sleep. She offered to move me to a different room but it didn't matter since we were flying home that night. I've had other great experiences at disney hotels but she was right in a way.....don't stay at the All Stars unless you pay for a preferr Les mer

For the price - one cannot complain too much and Disney's overall service is nothing less than oustanding. This hotel is however, old and the most uncomfortable part were the beds - too small and terrible to sleep in. We were interested in saving money this trip, but the next time will be staying in the Grand Floridian - I don't care how much it costs […] as long as we get a good nights rest - you need that after running around the parks all day long. It's a part of the Disney magic. Loved the movies at the pool, Disney decor and transportation system.

The resort was conveniently located. The rooms clean, the service outstanding! The only drawback was the restaurant/canteen. It serves the same food every day. No chef's specialties or any changes or variation. A solution would be to eat some of the meals at the restaurants within the theme parks. This was my first time staying on Disney property and while I was pleased with the convenience and ambiance, I was very disappointed with the lack of ammenities in the room. There was no refridgerator, microwave, or coffeemaker. No wifi, and only wired high-speed internet for $10/day. Other than pretty much being forced to eat every meal on site or […] in a park (though my husband was quite sucessful at keeping leftovers cool in an ice-filled sink covered with towels), I rather enjoyed being on Disney property. The room wasn't large by any means, but we had plenty of room to move around, so it felt larger than it actually was. I loved the themed pools, and it was nice to not be right next to some major highway. Shuttles. We really lucked out that every time we went to the bus station to catch a bus to a park, a bus arrived for us within 5 minutes, if not within 5 seconds. I really don't think this is generally the case, I was just really impressed with our luck. Also, leaving the parks, we made it on the first bus that came every time except when leaving Downtown Disney around 10pm. Even leaving Epcot right after Illuminations and MGM right after Fantasmic, we made it on the first bus. The only bus issue that I saw was that, being in one of the All Stars, every bus (pick-up) seems to stop at all 3 hotels. One morning we were the last people on the bus (good for us), so the bus driver didn't even stop at the next hotel (bad for people waiting at All Stars Movies). FYI: If you do plan to stay in All Stars, Sports is always the first to be picked up and the first to be dropped off. I hate sports, but it'd definitely be a perk to stay at Sports. Alternatively, if lines are too long for your All Stars hotel, you could always jump on one of the other All Stars busses and just walk over. For the reduced Hotels.com price, this hotel competed with non-Disney hotels, price-wise. The music theme and the resort aspects were very impressive. The hotel replaced an Ipod charger that their maid accidentally broke when vacuuming, and had it to us the same day. On the negative side, there is no in-room coffee-maker, and they charge for Internet […] access. Disney needs to get 'on the band-wagon' with most other hotels, and stop charging for these extras. my daughter and i were unable to sleep the entire night, loud, roudy people passing our doorway. used condom under the bed, real nice trying to explain to my 8 year old ! !

This was my first stay at a hotel on the Disney property, and had pretty high expectations, even though this was one of the "Value" resorts. The only reason I gave it 4 stars out of 5 was for two primary reasons. The room was in the VERY last building of the complex and it took at least 5 minutes of fast walking to get to the lobby or bus pickup. For […] those who have ailments or who otherwise have difficulty walking, staying that far away from the lobby might prove problematic. Also, there was no wireless at all. I tried on my tablet, phone and laptop, and got no wireless signal at all, with only a wired internet option available for our room. Another matter was that the person's name who stayed with me didn't appear on the reservation, despite calling that day to make sure it was. Since it was a last minute decision for her to come, I didn't deduct anything for it. Beyond those items, the hotel was outstanding, and I took full advantage of the shuttle service to and from the parks, as well as the extended hours that staying at one of the on-property hotels afforded us. I also enjoyed the towel sculptures on the bed and in the window left for us by the wait staff, those were a nice touch. I was also pleased with having my purchases brought to the room instead of having to lug them all day at the parks and risk damaging them on the rides. The room was in outstanding order, the beds were always freshly made for us when we returned, and the buildings of the hotel itself were decorated to the point that they themselves become something of an attraction. We always stay at All-star disney hotels when we go to Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. It is so convenient to have the buses and not worry about driving or paying some $10-15 to park at the park. It's not swanky but it always clean and comfortable enough!

Not bad at all!!! We will stay here again! Food court was AWESOME! we went 2 months ago and stayed at the wilderness lodge, the "food court" there was BAD. SMALL area, slow service.. so we figured we would try this hotel... HUGE food court, fast service, people every where, cleaning, cooking, hustling!!! we waited in line for breakfast for maybe 2 minutes!!! […] The Pools were ok, no waterslides.. my son was bummed.. but thats ok!! Clean, affordable, conveniently located, shuttle available...These are all words that come to mind when considering the All Star Resorts. We have stayed in each of the All Star resorts and the staff is always friendly and very helpful. Sometimes it can difficult to find your room, but once you've stayed there at least once you get the hang of it. We […] love using the shuttle as well that is available at the hotel. loved the family suite - so spacious. was by pool so it was loud from movies there until 9:30pm. great breakfast options in cafeteria - quick and not overpriced for Disney. Opted to drive our own car to parks since it was faster and parking is free at the parks if you are staying in a Disney hotel.

Great for the budget minded. Clean, comfortable, and great atmosphere. Drinks and meals a bit on the pricey side but otherwise a great stay.

This is my second stay at the All Star Music. I have enjoyed both times I've stayed there. While this isn't one of the grand Disney resorts it offered me everything I wanted for my stay. The room was clean and comfortable. The pools were very enjoyable and attractive. The food at the Food Court was surprisingly good. Especially their Build Your Own […] Salad. Although I'd encourage people to avoid the Food Court at peak times and after the parks have closed. It seemed to be inadequate for the numbers of people wanting to be fed. But overall, I'd gladly stay at this hotel again. Les mer
