High Tech President Castellana - Madrid

Hotel is just next to EL CORTE INGLES and very convenient for buying necessities. Staff are friendly and speak good English.

This hotel is located near all the high end boutiques and stores in Madrid. There's a hard rock cafe just a fee blocks away which was nice but we had to take a taxi to see anywhere touristic which we didn't mind at all. The staff are friendly and the hotel itself is very different than any other hotel I've stayed at. Somewhat futuristic looking. The […] hallways are dark and have ambient blue lighting which my boyfriend didn't like but I did. The room was a decent size with a queen size bed and the bathroom was funky but as a couple, we thought it was fun. I can see how it may not be suitable for a family though. There's also blue ambient lighting under the bed which I also thought was cool but again, maybe not so much for a family with kids. Breakfast was pretty good and about 8€ (with a coupon that front desk gave us) which may seem expensive but that's how it was in other hotels in Spain too so we didnt care. All in all, we loved Madrid and thought that this hotel was a good choice for us as a couple. Would definitely recommend to couples but not recommend for a family with children unless they have rooms with different bathrooms (i.e non glass doors and an actual curtain around the bathtub) Les mer

First of all this is not a Hotel for families or kids. The design and the touch of good taste is everywhere, looks like a a Boutique Hotel, but with very fare prices. There a lot of modern art, lamps, and technology all around. Rooms has Laptops included with high speed internet and an amazing interface that when you turn them on, all the appz you need […] will popup immediately: Skype, MSN, Facebook..I decide to keep my ownlaptop in the bag. The Hotel is one block fromPaseo de la Castellana which makes everything easy to walk, take a cab or a bus to must of the main attractions. This hotel is the definition of poor taste and discomfort. The bathrooms doors are glass so there is no privacy. There is a life-size black and white aplique of a naked woman in the bathroom that is of very poor taste. There is a blue light under the bed that illuminates it and it is extremely uncomfortable. A really great hotel. Located just off Castellana and close to shops, restaurants. A bit of a walk to either Colon or Serrano metro stations but plenty to see on the stroll to these stations. Staff couldn't have been more helpful especially Miguel Angel who is a proud Real Madrid season ticket holder. Very funky room design which might not appeal to […] everyone but it worked for me. Laptop in every room. Bathroom very quirky in that two of the walls were clear glass! I had the room to myself so no problem but could be privacy issues if two people were sharing the room.All in all I would strongly recommend this hotel and I will stay there next time I'm in Madrid. this hotel was aweful. From the nude women on the wall in the restroom,to the torn hanging curtins, to the broken light fixture suspended in mid air. Not to mention the stinch of the floor where the rooms are. We did not spend ONE night in this place, instead opting to lose our money and leave to stay in a decent place.

Was slightly concerned that this hotel would not live up to its billing, and would be nothing more than an old wreck with fancy lighting. That was incorrect. It was ideal - spotless room, functional and really cool with a funky bathroom. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful, and the other hotel facilities adequate. Excellent value for the price […] paid, and I will stay there again. The only obvious negative is that it is a metro ride into the tourist areas. Den var väldigt bra. Rummen var fräscha med en ny modern stil. Belysningen på hotellet etc. var mysigt. Hotell personalen kunde chockerande bra engelska (om man jämför med övriga spanjorer i Madrid). Det var lätt å ta sig till flygplatsen från hotellet med kollektivtrafik enbart 3£ per person, eller en taxi för 30£. Busshållplats som tar dig på mindre […] än 5min till Real Madrids Arean eller Centrum låg ungerfär 15m bort. Närmaste tunnelbana låg ungefär 2 min gångavstånd, vilket är ej farligt. På andra sidan vägen ligger stort shoppingcentrum, och nära till Hardrock och Starbucks (200 resp. 15 m!). Hade bra wifi på rummet samt möjlighet till deras dator både i rum och i lobbyn. Så hotellet i sig var väldigt bra, testade däremot inte resturangen/frukost men room service var billig och bra! :) .. Rekommenderat hotell för sina pengar och sitt läge! Les mer

El hotel no me gusto, nos asignaron habitaciones para fumadores, ya que no disponian de cama matrimonial en las habitaciones no fumadoras, la iluminacion de la habitacion es horrible.

Pro: Es un lujo encontrar un hotel con habitaciones familiares hoy en día y tan bien situado. Un Vips a la vuelta de la esquina y el Hard Rock a dos manzanas. Corte Inglés enfrente. Entre Serrano y Castellana cerca de museos, tiendas, etc. Contra: No es que la habitación estuviera mal, ni sucia, ni incómoda, pero todos los pluses que declaran en la […] web (equipo de sonido para iPod, galán planchador, etc) nada de nada en las familiares. Por no haber, no había ni donde dejar la maleta. Tele con pocos canales (ni los gratuitos) y un portátil que pese a la "conexión de alta velocidad" no había quien navegara. El primer día te ponen un bombón, el resto te lo compras tú si quieres. No hay parking propio y el que hay público en la puerta te sale a más de 30€ la noche. Por eso está siempre libre. Les mer

Únicamente pasé 2 noches, pero la impresión que me llevé es que está muy poco cuidado para lo reciente (2005) que es, pues había varios desperfectos en la habitación que lo desmerecen un poco (cortinas rotas, humedades en el techo del baño, armarios descascarillados...) y para ser un hotel de 4 estrellas entiendo que deberían cuidar esos detalles. La […] situación es bastante buena si buscas un lugar tranquilo, además la calle serrano está prácticamente al lado y la estación de metro más cercana está a unos 10 minutos. Por lo demás, el trato que nos dieron fue muy cercano, aunque fui con 2 niños y no les dieron regalo como anuncian en la página. L'hotel si trova nel quartiere più ricco di Madrid ed è circondato da negozi di alta moda. La zona è molto tranquilla di notte nonostante di giorno sia molto frequentata. Le camere non sono grandissime, ma adatte a tutte le esigenze, anche familiari. La nostra era una stanza familiare per 4 adulti e non abbiamo avuto problemi. Il bagno con doccia era […] pulito e la biancheria è stata cambiata ogni giorno. Il wifi è gratuito in tutto l'albergo e viene fornito un pc in ogni camera. Quando se pensa em Higt Tech se imagina um hotel moderno. Não é o caso, tem umas luzinhas no piso dos corredores e poltranas coloridas ultrapassadas. Esperava mais. Além da boa localização (encostada na Serrano) que eu queria ficar, frustou a espectaviva. Como Madri é linda e ficava o tempo todo fora do hotel, deu pra aguentar. Não é também tão despresivel, […] tem por exemplo, computador no quarto, mas pelo preço podia ser melhor. Hotel simples, quarto (que eu peguei) pequeno, uma única atendente (bem bacana por sinal) mais não podia fazer muito. Pedi uma bicleta e as duas disponíveis, tive que voltar após descer a ladeira empurranto a magrela pois estavam estragadas. De qualquer forma estar a 30 metros da Serrano já é um previlégio. Les mer

Gostamos muito da nossa estadia no Hotel. Os funcionários foram todos muito prestáveis e simpáticos. O Hotel e muito bonito, pequeno acolhedor e confortável, Os defeitos que temos a apontar referem-se a pequenos detalhes de manutenção, que para um Hotel de 4 estrelas deveriam estar perfeitos, como por exemplo: o suporte do papel higiénico estava caído […] e as juntas estavam com um aspecto velho e mal cuidado, tomar banho também se torna um pouco desconfortável porque o vidro da banheira não fecha e o chão da casa de banho fica todo molhado. Para pessoas que vão dividir quarto com algum amigo/a desde o quarto vê-se perfeitamente a outra pessoa a tomar banho, pois o painel que da para o lado da cama e transparente e na lateral é vidro. Tirando isso e um Hotel perfeito, com um atendimento muito bom e com fáceis acessos para as zonas de maior interesse turístico da cidade, Les mer

Molto carino, particolare con l'illuminazione a led blu. E' ben collegato, in un quartiere residenziale. Il personale non è estremamente efficiente, ma le camere sono molto pulite.

El primer dia la habitación no estaba del todo limpia, con restos de migas de pan en la silla de la habitación y la ducha tampoco estaba al mejor estado de limpieza. Si es verdad que se solucionó todo al dia siguiente. En mi estancia, no existió servicio de habitaciones ni tampoco restaurante. Este hotel é um "Hotel de Design" bastante decadente. Geralmente com um único funcionário na recepção. Não tem ninguém para ajudar com as malas nem carrinho. O café da manhã é muito ruim. O que salva é a localização.

Sin ninguna pega.Viajamos con mascota y a el tambien le gusto.El unico pero es que la climatizacion de la habitacion carede de mando a distancia y hay que levenatarse de la cama para regular la temperatura.Pero fenomenal.

Hotel moderno, muito bem localizado, disponibilização de notebook no quarto com acesso gratuito à internet e ótimo café da manhã. A equipe de atendimento é muito prestativa, atenciosa e sempre pronta a dar informações. Entretanto, o quarto quadrúpulo é pequeno e os beliches poderiam ser de melhor qualidade. HT President Castellana was definitly very good for its price. We were a group of 3 friends, and that was a cheap but quality choice. The room was pretty comfortable, with plenty of space. The laptop was very useful to plan our trip. The bathroom was ok, but it could be a bit bigger, and the glass door takes a bit of privacy, but as long as you're with […] family or friends it's ok. The room was always clean, and bathroom stuff was changed every morning. The staff was nice and very helpful. The location was pretty good, a fancy district with a lot of shops. El Corte Inglés is just across the street. I'd definitly stay there again! Les mer

エアコンが後付では無く、躯体に組み込まれているタイプであり、かび臭くて目にしみる状況であった。暑い時期に行ったので空調をつけられず大変だった。部屋はそのせいか脂っこい臭いがして、快適とは言いがたい。 シャワーの壁掛けが壊れていて、シャワーヘッドが固定出来ない。ヨーロッパには珍しく暑いお湯がしっかりした水圧で、温度変化も無かった。 ベットは広く、清掃もきちんとしてくれており、ベットメーキングもチップもとらず、きれいな清掃なのにもったいないと感じた。

Hotel très propre et agréable, la qualité de l'acceuil du matin est à revoir, jeune femme très mal aimable. Par contre l'acceuil du soir (le 6 juillet) très bien.
