Hotell Roc Lago Roja har fin beliggenhet både for spasertur langs strandpromenaden - opp til parken, opp i fjellet og til nærliggende tettsteder. I tillegg god underholdning , hyggelig personale og stort rom.

Utsikten var fantastisk og omgivelsene nydelige. Fint rom med balkong (standard rom). Det ligger strengt tatt utenfor hotellets kontroll, men når vi besøkte hoteller i midten av desember blåste det så mye, samt at det var såpass kaldt at det i grunnen var utriveligt å være ute. På denne tiden av året er det nok smartere/bedre klima nærmere kysten, dog det må være en kjempeplass resten av året.

Overnattet der en natt siden jeg var på beriftsreise og er meget fornøyd. Prisen var rimelig, resepsjonen og roomservice veldig hyggelig og profesjonelle. Treningsfasiliteter og bassenget på toppterrassen bidro til å høyne opplevelsen, fantastisk å kunne ta en joggetur etter frokost med hele Torremolinos som utsikt!

Silken Puerta Malaga ligger praktisk til nær flyplassen i hjertet av Malaga. I nærheten finner du Parque del Mar, Málaga katedral og Málaga amfiteater. Ikke langt unna finner du også Alcazaba og Picassos fødested.

"Silken Puerta Hotel i Málaga"
Hotell midt i Malaga by Dette hotellet kan anbefales på det sterkeste for de som ønsker å bo sentralt, men alikevel nyte ro. Hotellets sentrale plassering rett ved jernbanestasjon og sentralt i Malaga by gjør at det er enkelt å benytte ved besøk av byens serverdigheter og turistbussen, som har av/på stiging rett ved hotellet. Meget flott hotell med store nydelige rom. Ligger i gåavstand til sentrum, ca 15 min. bussen går hvert 8 min og tar 4-5 min. Ca 5 min å gå til nærmeste strand, men den inne i byen var finere. Servicen på hotellet var meget god. Fere store handesentre i nærheten, og stort utvalg i flere gode resturanter. Tilgang til spaet er gratis, med badstue, solsenger […] og jacuzzi. her var vi mye:) Lett å reise til andre byen, ettersom hotellet ligger rett ved buss og togstasjonen. "Godt hotellopphold"
Meget rent pent og flott hotell sentralt i Malaga. Store delikate rom og meget flott bad. Nærhet til stranda og shopping. Veldig hyggelig og hjelpsomme resepsjonister som strakk seg langt for å sørge for god informasjon og hjelp når det var behov for det (feks med å hjelpe oss med å oppleve Malaga på best mulig måte). Anbefales!

"Nær kommunikasjon"
Silken Puerta Malaga ligger nær jernbanestasjonen og busstasjonen i Malaga. På jernbanestasjonen er det mange butikker og spisesteder. Gode alternativ for frokost og andre måltider. Frokosten på hotellet er for dyr, 13 euro per pers. Stopp for sightseeingbuss (hopp på og av) utenfor jernbanestasjonen.

I was impressed at how close it was to the train station and to my rental car office. I got dropped off at the train station, stayed the night then rented a car. When I came back with the car I stayed again at the hotel and then took the train to Madrid. So, very handy for me. I would stay there again.

"A great cental hotel in Malaga"
This hotel is centrally place to get to all the places of interest in Malaga. It is also close to the airport, bus and rail stations for onward journeys throughout the region or abroad.

We stayed here to have good access to the trian station for an early start to the airport. It was such a lovely hotel and perfect for what we needed. definitely recommended.
"Wearing down fast"
This hotel is lowering prices to be full, but at the expense of furniture wearing down in the room, toilet not properly cleaned (even though it had a Sanitized paper over the lid). Staff is friendly, and only 1 block from Malaga train station makes the hotel convenient, but next time I would look for another hotel nearby instead.
"Worst shower, small room, weird WIFI"
The shower is awful! 1) The water went from hot to cold every 30 seconds 2) the shower was configured with the water spraying from the middle of the tub rather than the end which meant water continuously sprayed onto the floor. I had to stand in an awkward position which seemed silly. The room was pretty small and had a view of nothing even from […] a relatively high floor. The TV looked like it was from 1985 The wifi for some weird reason required me to go to the reception to ask for a password which then worked near the reception but on no other wireless hotspot in the hotel. Don't expect any reception in your room though it seems they added hotspots to the areas near the elevators only. Our room was 2 doors away and I had no signal in the room. Even if I did I guess I would have needed a differnet password...strange anyway the hotel was OK but I would not stay again for the reasons above Les mer
"Silken Malaga- distant, dingy and disappointing"
Having stayed in Silken hotels previously I had some expectations about this hotel- having also visited Malaga twice in the past year I had a good feeling about the city. The location is clear on any map but the hotel 'feels' much further away from the city. The immediate neighbourhood is dominated by private residences and the hotel is trapped between […] two very busy one way roads- add to that the supermarket which effectively shares an entrance with the hotel and you really do feel trapped. The hotel staff seemed preoccupied dealing with large groups of tourists and groups using the meeting facilities. The web site pictures are deceptive (gym is tiny, 'roof terrace' is also very small any only gets sun a couple of hours per day. The free wifi never seemed to work and when it did was painfully slow. On a plus side the spa was OK although overrun with children and the proximity to the 'locals' beach was a relief (5-10 min walk). Les mer

"Close to the railway station"
Silken Puerta Malaga is close to the railway station, but too far from the city center & walking street area to make it a relaxed walk. Wireless didn't work properly in my room; maybe too low signal, but I was given a cable and speed was good, and it was free, as it should be in any decent hotel. Did not use restaurant or breakfast. "Hotel Silken Puerta Malaga"
A modern, clean hotel right next to the railway station, so perfect for early-morning getaways to the airport, or anywhere else by bus or train in Spain. Friendly staff, and comfortable rooms with good facilities (TV - but no English channels, hairdryer, safe). Fab bathroom toiletries! The hotel has a gym but really, it's just one of the rooms cleared […] out and with just one treadmill, two bikes, and one multi-machine. The jacuzzi and sauna are nice, and it's possible to book spa treatments, though there is no spa as such - just a massage table, from what I could gather. To walk to the centre of Malaga takes around 10 minutes - or 20 minutes to the beach (Malagueta). This hotel is excellent value for money. Les mer

"Average three star hotel."
The furniture was chipped, the laminate floor was chipped and the towels were stained. Overall the the hotel suited our needs for a one night stay as the location was convienient and the reception we received was 'o.k ' but we would not stay there again. We previously stayed at the Maestranza and it was a far superior hotel.

This hotel is ideally placed from the railway station as we boarded the train at the Airport and travelled into Malaga for our 2 day stay before flying on to the Canaries.

My room at the Puerta Malaga was extremely clean and nicely/modernly decorated. It was the kind of hotel room you see in brochures but almost never actually get. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the bar/cafe is open late. The hotel itself is conveniently right across the street from the train station. The hotel is very conveniently located near the train and bus stations (2-3 minutes’ walk). There is a supermarket in front and many fast food restaurants in the train station shopping center. From airport, one can take bus 1 or train C1 (Maria Z. Station). City center can be approached via bus 3. Very near the Malaga railroad station and practically by a "El Corte Ingles" Department Store (there's direct communication between the Hotel and this first class store). "fantastic value, first class service, great amenit"
couldn't be happier. service was friendly and professional, staff all spoke english very well. the coffee was excellent. nice little gym and spa on the top floor which was just perfect as we were staying our last two days in spain before flying home. it's about a half mile from the beach, and about a mile from the old town, excellent location really. Chosen because it seemed a reasonable quality hotel close to the train and bus stations. It was a very good hotel adjacent to the stations, but the road to the hotel late at night was just a little uncomfortable. Hotel staff were very pleasant but I had no experience of the restaurant.

Hotel was in a good location from the train station approx 3 mins, which has a great shopping mall and food outlets in it . The room was clean and comfortable and modern,the staff where very helpful. You can walk to the centre of Malaga takes approx 10-15 mins or walk down the sea front area approx 5 mins . Overall great hotel .
"OK Hotel"
The Silken Malaga is a decent hotel, however, the only reason that you would want to stay at this hotel is if you want to be near the train station. The neighborhood is not very good and there is a lot of construction work. Malaga itself is not a great city to spend time in. There are a few things to see such as the Picasso museum and the fort, but […] not much else. A half day of sightseeing in Malaga is sufficient. The hotel staff was very friendly and most spoke English well. For Spain the hotel is a 3 star, but for US travelers, it is probably a 2.7 star hotel. I was on a non-smoking floor and people were still smoking in the rooms near me and in the hallway which made my room smell of smoke. The Malaga beach and city center is about a half hour walk from the hotel, so you will need to taxi to both of these areas. If you want to stay in Malaga, it would be better to stay in the city center or near the beach. If you are going to complete day trips to Cordoba, Granada or Sevilla, the hotel is close to the train station and bus station. However, Cordoba and Sevilla train trips are relatively expensive (20-40 euros each way). There is not train to Granada, so you have to take a bus for about 2 hours. Les mer
"Fabulous Hotel with a great location"
I booked this hotel because of its stellar reviews and its great location right next to Málaga's train (María Zambrano) and bus station, meaning I had a 200 yard walk from my bus to the hotel, and a 50 yard walk from the hotel to the train station to catch the Cercanía (C1) to the Airport. It's right next to a Covirán supermarket, meaning quick groceries […] and/or snacks are a few seconds away and it's only a 20 minute walk from the center of town and about a 30 minute walk from the Malagueta (one of the downtown beaches). Additionally, the hotel boats a nice spa and jacuzzi, good service, a nice restaurant and very modernly equipped clean and pleasant rooms. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. Les mer

over all the hotel was clean and most of the staff were very good, bad points no tea or coffee making equipement in the room , breakfeast war 12 euro which is crazy and parking was 12 euro a day even though hotel owned the car park
"Comfy Bed"
Stayed just one night traveling between towns in Southern Spain, but wished we could take this hotel with us along the way. A great business-type hotel with a good sized room and bathroom. The bed was really comfortable. I've stayed at multiple Silken hotels and have been pleased with what you get for the money.

Lovely hotel, very modern and stylish. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the rooms were very warm and the air conditioning was turned off because it was winter (we stayed in Feb/March). This made the rooms uncomfortable. Apart from this excellent value for money.

En mycket trevlig vecka på hotellet. Frukostbuffén var god, personalen trevlig. Skönt att kunna slappna av i spa-avdelningen på vån 6.

"Hotel Puerta Malaga - dårlig beliggenhed"
Hotellet er rigtig pænt, servicen er nogenlunde, men det nytter ikke rigtig at hotellet står som beliggende i hjertet af malaga med div. faciliteter når hotellet bestemt ikke ligger i centrum, og faciliteterne består af div. fastfood restauranter og bowlingcenter i den nært liggende togstation. Der er ca. 20 min gang til centrum, med bus 10 min. Desværre […] er Kvarteret omkring hotellet ucharmerende og beskidt. Hvis man ønsker at tage på en strand der tilnærmelsesvis er ren nok til at opholde sig på tager det 40 min at gå eller 15-20 min i bus. Vi blev svært skuffede af beliggenheden og ville ikke booke hotellet igen selvom hotellet i sig selv var lækkert. Les mer
"descuido y poca limpieza"
Cuando nos dieron las llaves del Hotel, nos encontramos la habitacion sin limpiar y desordenada(me habian dado una habitacion sin arreglar).Nos cambiaros de habitacion y mi sorpresa fue que el baño estaba sucio y la habitacion tenia una puerta que comunicaba con otra habitacion en la que se escuchaba todo y no teniamos intimidad.
