Melia Berlin - Berlin

Hotellet oppfylte alle våre forventninger for et 4*/5* hotell. Beliggenheten er også meget bra, blant annet meget nær S-bahn og U-bahn stasjoner. Elven Spree, med sine serveringssteder, ligger forøvrig bare "et stenkast" fra hotellet.

Dette er et nesten nytt og veldig bra hotell. Vi ankom via Schönefeldt flyplass og tok "Airport express" inn til Berlin. Gikk av på Friedrichstrasse stasjon, og da var det kun et par minutters gange til hotellet. Flott hotell med hyggelig og serviceinnstilt personell. Rent, pent og flott! I have never before experienced a hotel where there was nothing to complain about. This is a new, stylish hotel where the friendly staff have time to deal with any need you might have. The rooms are big, delicate and quiet, with comfortable beds. Big pluss for a cushion meny; you select your cushion, and it is delivered to the room free of charge. The […] breakfast room is spacious, with big windows overlooking the river Spree. The breakfast buffet is enormous, and you get good value for money. Everything was delicious, from the selection of German saucages and patés, to the home made pastry, pancakes, tropical fruits, etc. And you can round it all of with sparkling wine from the wine cooler. Breakfast buffets tend to be crowded and noisy. Here I had a pleasant start of the day. Because the breakfast room is so big, and because there was plenty of waiters, there was no fighting over the last egg, no queing and no need to clear away other peoples dirty plates. And as soon as you sat down, the waiter was there and took your coffe order. We actually ended up finishing nightclubbing earlier than planned in order to be able to fully enjoy breakfast. Big pluss for late breakfast opening hour, so you don`t have to get up early to make it. The drink meny in the bar is huge, and we spend more time than planned in the hotel. Hotel Melia er et hotell av høy standard! Vi bestilte standardrom-comfort rooms og ble veldig imponerte! Vi reiser ofte og kan si at dette hotellet havner på topp 3! Store luftige rom, stort bad, sengen var fantastisk, og støy fra andre gjester eller utsiden var et ikke-tema. Virkelig flott hotell! Det ligger midt i mellom alt hva man vil se i Berlin, […] beliggenheten er det ikke noe å si på! Skal vi til Berlin igjen bor vi her! Vi gikk stort sett dit vi skulle, og hoppet også på en sightseeingbuss. Eneste gangen vi fikk behov for taxi var da vi skulle ned på Kurfurstenstrasse. Anbefaler et besøk på Zoologisk hage - Tiergarten! Vil man i tv-tårnet bør du ha stooor tålmodighet! Ikke glem kamera og gode gå-sko! Berlin er et mekka for sko-shopping!!! Les mer

Supert hotell og super beliggenhet! Skal definitivt bo der neste gang vi er i Berlin. Anbefales på det sterkeste.

Hyggelig, moderne og pent hotell med meget service innstillt betjening. Utmerket frokost. Beliggende i gangavstand til mange av Berlins serverdigheter. Kort avstand til kollektivtransport. Hotellet innfridde våre forventinger på alle måter.

Anbefales på det varmeste. Herlig frokost, god service og fantastisk beliggenhet. Veldig fleksible på sen utsjekk (vi fikk beholde rommet til klokken 16.00).

rommet var stort og komfortabelt, med flott utsikt mot elven spree. vi tilbrakte lengere tid på dette rommet enn vi vanligvis gjør på reiser. vi var meget godt fornøyd.

Very good hotel close to Unter den Linden.

Hotellet er meget veldrevet med tanke på service, renhold og kvaliteter.

Et flott hotell! Meget hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening, fint rom med herlig seng, rent og pent bad. Veldig sentral beliggenhet i forhold til kollektiv transport og i gåavstand til mange av attraksjonene.

Hotellet har rom av høy standard og personalet er svært serviceinnstilt. Hotellet tilbyr innendørs parkering til 20 euro pr.døgn. Hotellet ligger i gangavstand til alt som ligger i Berlin sentrum, både på øst- og vestsiden. Negativt at frokost ikke er inkludert på de billigste rommene.

10 euro for en time trådløst internett på rommet er 10 euro for mye.

Dette er absolutt å anbefale. utrolig sentralt med undergrunds banen 10M fra hotellet. Dette er det hotellet jeg skal booke neste gang!!

Frokosten var dyr, så den droppet vi. Ellers var alt perfekt! Veldig god service med anbefaling på shopping, mat, hente frem togtider på internett etc.

Dette var et hotell med god standard, imøtekommende og serviceinnstilte ansatte, og en bra beliggenhet med gangavstand til det meste. Vi hadde et stort og flott rom, og renholdet var også bra. Hotellet kan absolutt anbefales!

The Hotel is ca three yrs old, so it looks new and fresh. The best thing about the hotel is the personel. They are very helpful and nice. The breakfast-buffet is very good. You can even have champagne with your strawberries. Location is perfect, next to one of the major train/subway stations in Berlin. Highly recommended.

We stayed three nights at the Melia Berlin in late April and were given a river view room on the second floor. Check-in was very friendly and efficient and the room was spotlessly clean with a gleaming bathroom. The only niggle was a large splat on the window - something thrown up from the street. We asked the hotel twice to get it cleaned but nothing […] was done, which is a shame. I don't think I've ever stayed in a hotel were you really couldn't hear the movements of other guests. There's always door slamming or TV noise but here there was nothing... apart from a low rumble every few minutes from the tube trains that run under the hotel. A room higher up would eliminate this as well I suspect - but it didn't affect us much as we were out all day and the tube doesn't run all night. Breakfast is really good, plentiful and varied and although expensive at 22 Euros! It becomes much cheaper (11 Euros) if you join the hotel's loyalty card scheme. The hotel is ideally situated for travelling around by train/tube/tram as the Friedrichstrasse stop is just a minute or so walk away and there are shops, restaurants, theatres and bars right on your doorstep, and most of the city's big attractions a few minutes away. A daytrip to Potsdam is not to be missed - it's a little outside Berlin, but well worth the effort. Some tours don't take in the Chinese house or the New Palace... I can't think why, they're amazing! Berlin is a great city to explore and the Melia is a great base to do it from. Les mer

Great hotel. The only thing negative is that wifi was way too expensive.

The hotel was in a very convenient location; very near a subway hub and walking distance to many sites. We ate in the restaurant at the hotel and it was excellent. However, we like a coffee pot/kettle in the room and there was none in the room. The second day we asked for one and they did supply one. Also, there was no free wifi. You pay by the hour […] and it is only for one device. Most people come with multiple devices-laptop, phone eccetera. That was our biggest gripe. We had to go to another site to check our emails and we couldn't make a pot of coffee when we woke up. Otherwise the hotel is clean, pretty and very good location. Les mer

The Melia Berlin is a superbly located hotel with modern funky furnishings and helpful staff. I highly recommend upgrading to 'The Level" which gives you free access to wifi, tea/coffee and snacks all day and some lovely hors d'euvres/alcoholic beverages after 6pm at night.

You really can't ask for a better place to stay. Right next to friedrichstrasse station. You can walk to gendarmenmarkt, checkpoint charlie, etc. The bar and nightclub area is a 5 min walk. Nice spanish themed bar downstairs. This place caters to a lot of spanish visitors. Staff is nice and helpful. Only issue was that I asked for a king bed and got […] 2 doubles, with the typical european practice of 2 small comforters, which is uncomfortable. Les mer

we were staing in melia-berlin for the last 4 days and it was just wonderfull.We would certainly come again to this hotel if we will come to Berlin again. Its located great , looks great and delightfull service by the receptionists and door man.

This hotel was a bargain. This is like a 4/5 star hotel that I paid a 2/3 star price for. It is like a block away from train station that connects to express train to/from airport. Probably one of the best hotels I've stayed at.

The only problem is the matress hardness. Difficulty in dealing with back pain. I guess they should invest in better quality for this item. Breakfast is a feast.. Staff very helpful

Nice hotel to spend an romantic weekend in. Train directly to Schoenefeld airport and both S-bahn and U-bahn. Great room and service! /Björn

Best location ever. Safe neighborhood and walking distance to major museums and good restaurants. The hotel is very close to to the S-bahn Station, so all city sites are easily accessible. Nice rooms, tastefully decorated. I will definately come back.

I loved this hotel. It's only a stone's throw to the island museums and the underground train station. The room evinced a careful eye for detail from the exquisite lighting to the furniture and flooring. Bed could have been a wee bit more comfy--a bit soft for my taste. The bathroom had many fine touches. The staff were friendly and helpful. Fine, mid-level, […] and quick-bite dining nearby. I'd definately stay here again and highly recommend it. Had a look at many hotels and thought the Melia was in a good location at a reasonable price. It is an elegant hotel next to a meandering river and along one of the famous shopping street in Berlin. There is an overground and underground station near enough outside the hotel which means you are able to get around very easily. Many of the major attractions […] are also just walking distance from the hotel. There are many restaurants and bars along the river including a steakhouse down the steps which was amazing. Excellent in all regards in terms of room and location. Staff has excellent english skills. We arrived late on a Sunday evening and they had held our room despite not receiving any calls from us from our late departing plane.

The Melia is so conveniently located and the staff is wonderful. The breakfast is definitely worth it and would recommend you get a room which includes it. The Internet is pretty pricy, so beware. The rooms are large and comfy.

The Melia hotel is an excellent hotel in a great location. Close to the train station and U Bahn and a nice view overlooking the river.There is a good choice of restaurants just over the river. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

very good hotel, but there is no free internet connection neither by cable nor wirelles. you have to subscribe with telekon to use the hotspot. Very expensive. Tks.

If you want a reasonably priced hotel smack in the centre of Berliin, this is it. The rooms are clean, generously sized, comfortable and well equipped and the staff if friendly and helpful. Within easy walking distance of central Berlin, the Brandenburg gate and the Museum Island, less than 20 minutes from Alexanderplatz and the thriving area around […] the Hackescher Markt. With the commuter rail/underground station Friedrichstrasse right next door, even the rest of Berlin is just a short walk away. This hotel can only be recommended. Les mer

The location is perfect. On the Friedrichstrasse a few blocks from Unter den Linden and across the street from a major transportation hub. The rooms were large by European standards, and the staff, particularly the concierge, was very helpful. All at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend.

Stayed two nights in december 2011, and I have nothing to complain about. The room was in perfect shape and the service was great. Ok, one thing... the queue when checking out was too long, but I guess that means it's a popular hotel!

Always nice to stay at Melia. Not the most modern hotel, not an amazing breakfast (but still good enough), not the coolest rooms but still I think it deserves 5/5 because of the service, it's clean, their friendly and helpful service, and the location which is almost perfect to me.
