Cezanne Hotel - Aix-en-Provence

Vi var meget godt fornøyd med dette hotellet. Trivelig, sentralt, smilende og imøtekommende personale. Gratis parkering.

Except for lack of ironing equipment and bathrobes(you had to buy them first ;-), as described in the advertisment, this was a very nice experience.

i had a very pleasant stay. desk staff was wonderful. they helped with restaurant bookings and were just very accommodative. the location is great as it is very close to cour mirabeau, the tourist office, and train station. I also liked the free beverages in the room mini-fridge. the room was very clean. the only negative was the room spray they used […] i was allergic to, but i opened the room and aired the room out and was fine. Great location to train depot and center of town. Elevator not working for two days. Bathroom repairs every day in our room. Room was clean,very comfortable and quiet. Cold drinks without charge nice. Toiletries of good quality. Manager was sensitive and responsive to needs. One desk clerk was not, and frustrated many guests. Parking limited. Hotel was good value for the money, other than the breakfast, which was 27 Euro per day (way over priced for the value, save your money and have breakfast elsewhere for much less). Minibar drinks (water, soda, OJ) were free, which made up some for breakfast overcharge. Mid March temps were relatively high compared to normal. A/C was not turned on yet, […] which left room temp uncomfortably too warm (about 27C or 80F). Artwork in lobby is on the racy side, so I would avoid for families having children. Les mer

High quality boutique hotel. Nice touches like free non snacks in lobby an in room including mini-bar (excluding alcohol). Helpful staff with great recommendations for restaurants, etc. Definitely the place to stay in Aix

Very nice hotel, and staff. Highly recommend.

My partner and I stayed for one night at the Hotel Cezanne and we really enjoyed it. It's clean, modern and beautifully presented. The location is good - near to the train station and a short walk form the town centre. The service was friendly too - they let us leave our bags for a few hours after we checked out so that we could enjoy the town for the […] day. Hotel staff was extremely helpful and diligent. They spoke English fluently, recommended great places to eat and sights to see. Location was a couple of blocks from the main shopping and restaurant area. We had a rental car and they have a secure underground parking. Gas station to refill is one block away. Solid without being memorable, although location was excellent.

Hotel was in excellent location with many restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Rooms were claean and large for France. Only minor complaint is wireless internet in our room was almost useless. OK in the lobby

Lovely rooms, exceptionally good breakfast and especially kind and friendly serving staff. Reception staff all professional and helpful. Location is also great. One very minor glitch - there are a few stairs (4 or 5) to get up in order to get into the hotel and there is no doorman or bell-hop to assist with luggage.

Lovely boutique hotel, close to the tourism office, museums, bus and train services. Room was modern and comfortable. Shower was a bit difficult to manage, as the entire floor got soaking wet given the pitch of the shower floor. Staff was efficient albeit reserved. I love that there are complementary soft drinks in the minibar and fresh clementines […] and caramels in the lobby. Breakfast buffet was too expensive but many great restaurants and cafes are nearby. Good location, great food, excellent and attentive staff, nice modern hotel, internet works very well.

Very good hotel very close to the center of aix-en-provence. 5 minute stroll to Cours Mirabeau. Nice, clean room. Comfortable bed. Helpful front desk that gave good directions to Cassis and Marseille and made a great restaurant recommendation.

We arrived at the Hotel quite late in the day and rather tired. The concierge took our bags and the check in was smooth and quick. The room was great, with a comfortable bed, airconditioned, double windows for sound control, free wifi internet, and an open mini bar at no additional cost. The staff were friendly and helpful speaking excellent english. […] The location was close to the main street, but far enough away that the noise doesn't follow. Overall - this is a definate recommendation for those wishing to stay in Aix-en-Provance. Les mer

We had a room that as a plus had a king bed...but it took up the whole room. I was under the impression that our room was bigger as displayed on Hotel.com website...other than the fact I had to go into the hall way to change clothes - the staff and hotel are very nice.

We had a very pleasant two-night stay in our junior suite at Cezanne in April, 2011. Room: very spacious and thought through. Comfortable shower with soap and lotion of adequate quality. Very original bathrobes! Breakfast: generous buffet with the ability to have pancakes, omelettes etc custom made from the lady in the kitchen. Unfortunately, most […] of the food had already been eaten when we came to breakfast at 10am in the morning and we had to wait for new food or take what the early birds had left. Staff: very friendly but nothing that stands out. Location: the only negative. Not really in the center of the town but a five minute walk to the busier quarters. But the quieter street gives better sleep. I would highly recommend you to stay at Cezanne. Les mer

The Cézanne is a comfortable, modern, well-equipped hotel in a convenient position some 100 yards from Aix-Centre railway station, and a 10-minute walk from Cours Mirabeau. The end of Avenue Victor Hugo where it is situated has a lot of passing traffic, though few heavy vehicles; my room was at the back of the hotel so I cannot comment on the noise […] level in rooms overlooking the street. For car users it has the massive advantage of its own free secure car park nearby. The bedrooms have free wi-fi and soft drinks. The reception staff are extremely friendly and welcoming; particular praise is due to the young doorman/concierge who could not have been more charming and helpful. A problem with noise from the central air-conditioning system, which disturbed my sleep on the first of my three nights there, was speedily resolved the next day. My room was well equipped and the large bed was extremely comfortable, but for a "de luxe" room it was rather small, and had open hanging space rather than a wardrobe. Instead of drawer space, there were two large cupboards above the hanging space, one of them so high as to be impossible to reach. The bathroom was cramped and had a walk-in shower rather than a bath. The international buffet breakfast @ 19€ was copious and varied, and even included grilled bacon and scrambled eggs, but a French-style "petit déjeuner complet" was available in two places further up the street @ about 6€. There are many cheaper hotels in Aix, but despite some minor niggles I would recommend the Cézanne for its convenient position away from the crowds, its amenities and its friendly and helpful staff. Loved this hotel. Only give it four stars because the shower left something to be desired --- not nearly enough water pressure! But the staff was lovely and located very close to the Rotonde and Cours Mirabeau.

This was the noisiest hotel. If you stay here, request that you are NOT on the first floor. Otherwise, you will hear the phone ring and voices at the reception desk, you will get absolutely no sleep.

Second visit...has been upgraded to four star. Wonderful hotel in a terrific area of France. Would stay there anytime.

Just back from vacation in Aix en Provence. Cezanne Hotel was fantastic. Received room upgrade upon arrival. Spacious, large bathroom (with separate stand up shower and tub -- very rare in my European travels), small fridge in room was stocked with soft drinks and no charge for using. If you have a car the hotel offers free parking in a garage just […] steps from hotel (you need to notify them in advance to ensure your spot). Staff at the hotel were extremely accommodating, and the folks at the front desk were super. They got us reservations at the best restaurants in town, and recommended local wine shops, boulangeries and patisseries to get picnic supplies for our travels in the area. Oh, and the location is great. The heart of Aix is pretty small and they are right on the edge so we were able to easily walk to all the sites in town. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The hotel room was very comfortable with all the right toys. The only issue I have, which was probably my fault any way, was that I assumed that breakfast was included. It wasn't and so my bowl of corn flakes cost £20 which I thought was a bit much. I would however recommend this place to everyone.

Charmin, quaint property within walking distance of center of town in Aix-en-Provence. My wife and I honeymooned nearby 15 years ago and it was delightful to come back to the region. Found last minute on Hotels.com and the description appealed to my wife. If you're driving, rent a small car to navigate tight corners, get the data plan on your iPad to […] use Google Maps to navigate your way around, and beware of one-way streets. In short, don't be rushed or you'll get frustrated. Property was clean, small elevator - most will be, internet access in the room (useful for digital residents) and complimentary mini-bar - nice touch. Breakfast was a bit steep and not a lot of options, but location was great - walked to Aix Christmas shops and nearby restaurants. Just keep in mind, 4 stars is NOT the same in Europe as it is in the US. Les mer

At last we managed to get a booking at this hotel and it was all we expected. The room was a bit small but normal for France. We would have taken a bigger room if it was available. Breakfast was excellent. No hesitation recommending this hotel.

The hotel location and overall decor were great. It was a small hotel with a really cool vibe. We arrived around 1pm to check in and were told that the free parking spaces were already reserved. You apparently need to call ahead, which we didn't know about. Also, our room wasn't ready until 5pm and we had to check back twice. was impressed with the free wifi & complimentary mini bar. Room was clean and stylish. Bed was the most comfortable we experienced during our 10 days in France. Highly recommend.

In case you have any questions regarding excellent food, a nice spot for a drink or coffee, or cultural or shopping activities ask Anna at the reception. She gave us excellent recommendations. Enjoy your stay at the Cezanne, what a lovely hotel.

We stayed here for 3 days. Our accommodastion was very good. Hotel is very close to the town center. Make sur eyou reserve parking if you are driving! There is a very nice lady in the kitchen who will prepare a very good omelette for breakfast. She is very friendly.

The Cezanne was a perfect respite on very warm days in the South of France. With good air conditioning and an elevator, it met our requirements and was exactly as described by other hotel.com guests. Thank you.

Nous sommes restés 2 nuits et nous sommes très satisfaits de cet hôtel. La chambre était très propre et la décoration soignée et moderne. Le personnel est très disponible et n'hésite pas à nous indiquer de bonnes adresses pour dîner et sortir en ville. Il faut penser à réserver le parking fermé (gratuit) très utile en centre-ville. Nous y retournerons […] surement lors d'une prochaine escapade aixoise ! Les mer

Hotel et personnel sympas! J'y retournerai!

Hotel centralissimo, con parcheggio gratuito adiacente, stanza tripla molto ampia e confortevole, idem per il bagno, macchina caffè Nespresso al piano, bevande minibar comprese nel prezzo. In generale ottimo rapporto qualità e prezzo per la junior suite, Certamente da consigliare.

L'hotel Cézanne è molto ben arredato, in maniera elegante ma fantasiosa; la posizione è perfetta sia per arrivare in treno (è vicino alla stazione) o in auto (garage gratuito), sia per godersi il centro di Aix a piedi. Il personale è davvero gentile e la pulizia impeccabile. A voler trovare un difetto, la colazione a 20 euro mi sembra cara, per quanto […] sia ben fornito il buffet. Consigliato!!! Les mer

Excellente situation proche du centre. Chambre propre mais de petite taille (103). Parking gratuit. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié mais trop cher (20€). Personnel aimable. Abus de parfum dans les chambres qui devient vite incommodant. Pas de double vitrage mais calme. Minibar offert. Globalement en dessous d'un 4* compte tenu du prix de la nuit.
