The staff were excellent . I only have 2 complaints .... The restaurant was very good, but a bit too expensive. The cost of a shuttle bus (£4 per person) is excessive. Much easier for 2 people to get a taxi for £12 & go directly to your terminal instead of going via other hotels & terminals. Definitely worth the £4 extra.

THe front desk staff were so very helpful ad patient with us weary travelers. Really appreciated their help. The beds are too soft and coffee should be available at any time for international customers that undoubtedly use this hotel. Lovely place. Starbucks wasn't even up and running at 6am.... Overall fantastic . In US free shuttles transport hotel […] guests to and from airport. Lots of extra costs. Lastly, the airport is not user friendly in terms of unfamiliar guests/new arrivals trying to find their way to your lovely hotel. Thank you for a lovely stay. Les mer

The check-in was a mess. The line was 10 people long and it took 15+ minutes even with 2 staff members. The room was small and the bed was soft and "creaky". I woke up with a back ache the next day. We had dinner at the hotel and the waiter obviously did not know what he was doing. He was very polite and apologetic. In my mind no one trained him to […] do his job. The food was so-so. Very nice hotel - I'll stay there again if I need to lay-over at Heathrow. Friendly and efficient staff, and fast check-in with plenty of managers at hand. My room was perfectly clean, modern and comfortable. The food in the restaurant is very good, but pricey. It is on a Hoppa bus stop, and these run every 20 minutes or so. Time to Terminal One was […] six minutes. Be aware that the Hoppa costs STG 4.50 per person each way and you need Sterling cash to pay. I think all the airport hotels should issue vouchers for this fee, as they save on the cost of running a shuttle. Les mer

THE STAFF WAS VERY NICE AND CHECK IN WAS QUICK. THE ROOM WAS VERY NICE AND HAD EVERYTHING WE NEEDED INCLUDED. THE BED WAS VERY COMFORTABLE AND I DIDNT EVEN HAVE TO ASK FOR MORE PILLOWS THEY PUT SO MANY ON THE BED. THE BREAKFAST WAS DELICIOUS AND THEY HAD A VERY GOOD VARIETY. WE HAD THE CONCIERGE GET US A TAXI AND HE WAS VERY ACCOMADATING. THE CHECKOUT […] WAS ALSO VERY EASY. THE ONLY THING MORE THAT THEY COULD OFFER IS FREE INTERNET IN THE ROOMS. Very satisfied as clean efficient hotel. With booking information some information on getting from Heathrow to hotel would be helpful ie If arriving at Heathrow, go to Central Bus station, take bus H3 stopping at hotel. Fare applies on bus.

Convient to airport, in fact close enough that the burning of the rubber from when the aircraft land became annoying if you were outside much and the wind was blowing toward the hotel from the runway.

Very nice hotel with excellent location for mobility. The only negative comment is that the AC did not work very well.

Everyone at the hotel was really nice and helpful and gracious. The morning breakfast was excellent, both of the restaurants were great. The room was super quiet and clean, and the bed really really comfortable.

Most disappointing was the high extra charge to use the internet. We booked for 3 adults and the reservation was for a single king-size bed(??). It seemed hard to convince them that we needed two beds. Charge for breakfast seemed high even by UK standards. We were a party of eight checking in for one night to attend a wedding nearby. It was a stress free stay, the staff are efficient and friendly. The rooms are clean and bearing in mind the close proximity of the airport, quiet. We all stayed for breakfast which was plentiful and good.

Very good stay very near LHR. Based upon our experience, they are well suited to early arrivals and a 24hr operation from the airport traffic. The building is well insulated for sound, so the nearby runway is nt an issue. You can take the city buses for free from T3 or T5, just tell the driver where you are going as the hotel is within the free zone. […] Only downside was a lack of local eats outside of the hotels. The front desk and the gift shop person were very rude. It seemed to be a bother for them that I was checking in or buying something. I have stayed at other Marriots and have not encountered this in the pas.

Very convenient to get to the airport. Great base to work from before you have to get into the City. You cannot walk there but the short bus trip (hopon) is no problem. They let us check in very early which really made a difference. Restaurants are pricey and therefore it makes sense to book the executive suites - allowing you access to free internet […] and the lounge (free food and drinks). Good gym and pool. Les mer

great hotel, ideal location for location to heathrow airport , and many car hire pick up locations. 24hr Mcdonalds 5min walk away. starbucks in the hotel lobby is ideal for a quick snack and drink. standard of public areas is to a high standard, rooms are smart and very clean, large TV. only problem we had was the room temperature was too warm ( even […] with the air con on full ). would highly recomend this hotel, and would stay again. We had an enjoyable family stay on New Year's Eve; not flying anywhere, just going to see the fireworks in London. External appearance of the hotel is quite eye-catching and the lobby was dressed with xmas trees so looked very attractive. Don't pay for parking when you arive in the car park as the notices tell you to as it's £30 for 24 hours - instead, […] pay at reception where it's £12 for 24 hours, which is enough to pay. I would have been well peeved to have been stung for £30. Carpets are surprisingly dreary but no doubt the corporate design. Dinner in the american diner restaurant was the most expensive family meal we have ever had but we all had something we enjoyed so was worth it in that sense. Restaurant service was slow but very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty good and the special smoothies were a nice touch. Receptionists and chambermaids were all very friendly and well-trained, as were the waiters. The rooms were big enough, well-insulated from airplane noise and very clean but I found even in the english winter the aircon is essential to keep the temperature low enough to sleep as the windows won't open. The swimming pool and gym were very important features for us and when the building work is finished and sauna, showers and locks are all working, it will no doubt be better. Les mer

Although we were in an Executive room I have stayed in bigger, better rooms in Premier Inn for a lot less money. I was very, very angry and embarassed at being refused entry into the restaurant at breakfast. I had to go back up to my room to fetch the booking form that I had luckily printed out to prove that I had payed for breakfast with the room rate. […] I am not sure whether it was a Hotels.com error or the fault of the Marriot but having had trouble before with exactly the same problem when booking with Hotels.com I had checked with Reception the night before to confirm. Someone needs to get their act together on this. An apology would aslo be nice as everyone at the Marriot seemed to ignore the problem. Les mer

Good clean comfortable Hotel, close to Heathrow (must use the Heathrow Hopper bus but this is the same for most Heathrow Airport hotels - bus is reasonably frequent). Beds very comfortable and the swimming pool and gym are useful for a bit of exercise before the flight. Surprising quiet considering the location.

This is a great place to stay if you are looking for a convenient stay at Heathrow especially to catch an early morning flight. We had a rental car and it was very close to the gas station and car rental return in the early am before our flight. We did not take the shuttle so I can't comment on that. The concierge was great in giving us all the specifics […] on driving directions. And the front desk was friendly and helpful. Also it was easy to check in for flight and print out boarding passes in the hotel lobby for no charge. The hotel lobby is a nice atmosphere to have one last drink before you head out of town. Overall the room was great, did not have any problems at all. I think for the price and star rating, it is a great value. It was nice to be stress free on our last night. Also McDonalds is right down the street if you need a cheaper and less healthy meal option!! Les mer

This is a very nice Marriott facility in a location that is convenient to the airport. But I found that in spite of being located only a short hop from Heathrow terminals, there is no hotel shuttle service. A contract bus picks up airport passengers on the half-hour, however there is no assistance with luggage, and a charge of 4 pounds per person is […] levied. I waited for the bus for 15 minutes, saw it arrive at the hotel - didn't slow down or wait to see if there were any passengers waiting, then take off. I had to wait 30 more minutes for the next round. The hotel was apologetic, but explained that they have no control over the bus service, and they have no shuttle themselves. Although food is available for purchase at a couple of restaurants in the hotel, the price is extremely high, and the food quality only average. There are no options within reasonable walking distance, other than a McDonalds about 3 blocks away. Hotel staff was friendly and generally helpful. Les mer

After traveling in England for two weeks, we now know what to expect in the way of peculiarities associated with English lodging. First of all, nothing is free so if you expect this going in, you will be sorely disappointed. Expect to pay for the shuttle to the airport (I kid you not), parking, Internet, and no way to get more than one plate o,f "takeaway" […] from one of the restaurants. Oh, they also charge you to do takeaway. With fuel costs at 8 to 9 dollars a gallon, and the VAT on all goods and services, just expect to pay for anything extra. With this mindset, enjoy the beautiful lobby and Marriott bed. If possible, get the upgrade package which gets you club lounge access and complimentary drinks, snacks, breakfast, etc. Well worth it. Staff could not have been nicer and no one expects a tip, so they are so pleased if you do. Americans are liked. If possible, bring your own dinner or food from a nearby venue. This is just the way things are in many parts of England. Les mer
