Tubac Golf Resort & Spa - Tubac

We only had an evening and night at the resort before heading into Tubac for its shops and galleries. Wish we had more time to enjoy all the resort has to offer, particularly the golf. Will tell all our wintering golfing friends. Food was great and the restaurant charming, too. Nice staff.

My husband and I stayed at the Tubac Resort for 3 days in February and could have stayed longer. The resort is very peaceful with beautifully maintained grounds and lovely historic buildings. All of the staff, including check-in, restaurant and golf is genuinely friendly and accommodating. Tubac Golf Resort and Spa was a wonderful get away selection. Only about 90 minutes from north Tucson, easy access, expressway all the way from Tucson. Lodging was a large room, comfortable and charming plus pet friendly! Stayed only one night but was able to fit in many of the available amenities. Played 18 holes of golf on a beautiful, interesting […] course, enjoyed a spa treatment, and then a wonderful dinner at the Stables restaurant. Next visit will definitely be a longer stay. This was a great surprise. The hotel was very lovely and we took advantage of the spa services. We will definitely return.

We loved it . Cozy , quiet , warm and inviting - a perfect December anniversary get away . The hotel staff were welcoming and accommodating . The resort was nice enough to upgrade us to a room with a kiva style fireplace . Tubac, nearby, is a small but artsy and interesting little town . Lots of history in the area .

Some of my clients had little issues, but nothing on my end. Excellent service, room and amenities. Definitely in the middle of nowhere and a good drive if you want non-local food.

We love coming to the Tubac area and we always stay here. Never disapointed!!

This is a very nice place to come and just kick back and relax. Rooms are nice, the property is well maintained and the setting is very peaceful with great views of the Santa Ritas. Golf course is a great course to play. The menu is somewhat limited but the food is good.

Tubac resort was delightful. Loved the low key atmosphere and the renovations were quite nice. The bar food was excellent and we had lots of fun playing golf and seeing the cattle!

This is a first class facility. The service was excellent. on-site restaurants were extremely good and reasonably priced. The golf course was in excellent shape. The rates for both accommodation & golf are at the high end however, and could stand adjustment given competition in the area.

This resort is a lovely place. We highly recommend upgrading to a Hacienda King suite. The units are large with lovely Mexican tiles, a warm and inviting gas fireplace, private patio, very nice bath with oversized jetted tub and wonderful linens, and lovely comfortable robes. These units have small patios, though some would have little or no "view" […] - we were fortunate to get one that looked out on a small putting or miniature golf course that is available to guests at no charge - so a very pleasant view. The unit had wine glasses in the room and a small refrigerator which was convenient. We are just recreational golfers but we felt the golf course was nice with plenty of variety and challenge in the 18 of 27 holes we played, plus of course, the history and fun of having played the "Tin Cup" course. It was so fun seeing the cows around the property and course reflecting the long history and colorful past of this unique place. There are 2 restaurants, both of which were quite good, and again, so convenient not to have to leave the resort if one didn't want to drive for dining. Both restaurants (one Mexican food, the other American) had lovely outdoor dining areas as well as inside. The property is very near the Tubac village area where there are many fun shops, galleries and other dining options. We have stayed at this facility many times. We are not golfers but have been told by many people it has one of the best courses to play on. We prefer the Hacienda King. It has a fireplace in a living room setting, large room with wetbar, jet tub in a very large bathroom and a private patio, overlooking beautifully landscaped grounds. The Stables restaurant […] has good food; not great. Looking out the window, you see grazing cows, a pond, golf course greens, very old trees and in the background are mountains. Not what you would expect on the desert. Our only complaint is the pool is never warm, no matter what time of the year we are there; but, there is a hot tub. Just down the road is the town of TUBAC. If you enjoy art shops, this is the place to shop! It's small and you can spend the day walking around. We live in Tucson, only 50 miles away; but this is a quiet retreat and a welcome relief getting away for a few days. Les mer

This was our 2nd stay at the resort and we are still amazed at the tranquillity of the area. We have gone in the summer and the summer in AZ can be quite extreme but it is at a higher elevation so it is milder weather there. Tubac the town is quaint and very friendly. Great getaway from Tucson. Love the golf course, nice rooms (fridge extra cold), love the walk in shower.

Almost perfect but needs a few minor changes. The lunch service in the restaurant was terrible, but the food was excellent. The room was beautiful, but a little cheap with soaps, lotions, etc. The second day we didn't get all of our towels replaced. Excellent spa and golf, and loved Pancho's the gift shop. Very close to the shops and restaurants in […] Tubac. Really did love it and plan to return. Les mer
