We booked this hotel for one night as we were en route from South Padre Island to San Antonio and wanted to visit Matamoros for the day. The only thing positive about this hotel is it's location. We apprecated that it was right beside the highway on the way out of Brownsville. The check in was difficult as most of the staff don't speak or understand […] English. Once we got our room, we noticed that the carpet was worn and overall condition was poor. We were disappointed to learn that wifi was not working in the room. The stay was comfortable and quiet, only because it was almost empty. Breakfast was barely serviceable: toast, coffee and instant OJ (from powder). I would think twice before booking it again. Stayed at this hotel for one night - Made reservation through Hotels.com to my surprise they did not have a computer to verify so I had to show them my receipt through my phone. They sent me up to a room (no jacuzzi) and the one I had paid for was jacuzzi. Went to front desk and accomodated me to a room with jacuzi. Room #1 with jacuzzi has a big mold […] spot on roof (not healthy) and tub knobs were broken. Went up front again and accomodated me in room #2 which was okay in comparison to #1. Didn't have a good experience due to upon leaving realized that my car had been hit by someone (they have no cameras or anything).. Next time will be staying somewhere else Les mer

It was a comfortable place. They said free wifi but they didnt mention it was only in the lobby area(which closes at 12AM) & not in the rooms.

The room was just fine for a one night stay, breakfast is only orange juice and french toast

The ref did not work used trsh can for beer cooler it had a crack water got on floor . it did keep the beer cold

Minor repairs need to be done , toilet flush , parts are missing, jacuzzi tub doesn't work, bed covers only the top no covers for the bottom mattress, side lamp does not work.

GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY,QUIET,CONVENIENT TO RESTAURANTS,AND 20 MILES TO BEACHES AT SOUTH PADRE ISLAND.AND DOLLARS LESS THAN ANY MOTEL ON HWY 77 IN BROWNSVILLE,DOLLARS LESS THAN MOTELS ON SOUTH PADRE ISLAND!

Our only complaint was that the plugs where the refrigerator and microwave were did not work. Other than that it was a great price and about 15 minutes from South Padre Island. Good breakfast if you like waffles too :)

We stayed here because of the location & price, it was close to where we were working. The room was ok, it was hot when we checked in, & finally cooled off to a comfortable temp on the third day. We had to go buy a box fan to keep it cool enough to sleep. The roaches only came out at at night. We will not stay here again, and don't recommend other's […] to stay here. Les mer

The Palace Inn was great! It was so much more than what we expected.. the room was incredibly clean, the beds were very comfortable and very clean. Management was very helpful. The hotel has great placement as well, it's surrounded by several great fast food restaurants and a wal-mart, all within walking distance. I definitely reccomend this hotel.

Wireless Internet does not work. Hotel staff had no idea about their internet company info (phone number ...). At one point, when I insisted, they gave me the internet company phone number to call, but it turned out to be the Time Warner (TV Cable company).

I needed a room in my home town for some out -of-town guests that I couldn't accomodate in my home. I was able to get a very good rate, and the location was just right. The room was clean, the staff friendly. We did discover that the microwave in the room (an unexpected bonus) did not work, and we were never able to get it replaced. The door did not […] close very securely unless it was locked with the deadbolt. The mattress was reported to be a little too firm for my guests' liking. Es demasiado caro, para este hotel es de cuarta y lo cobran cómo si fuera de primera no me parecio el precio y menos el desayuno no le quieren invertir en el desayuno solo el pan y el café.
