"close to the venue we were going to see a concert"
It was located in a very convenient location. Our toilet was not working and there was not a maintenance member on staff on staff afternoon at 5:30pm which is understandable but the reception desk attendant had it fixed before we came back and it worked for the remainder of the stay. I thought that was very good for them to be able to do that since […] there were no other vacancies in the hotel. This hotel is pleasant, clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was always helpful. The breakfasts were adequate but disappointing in providing only packaged pastries instead of freshly made muffins and rolls, and table space was somewhat limited. This hotels surprised us ina very good way. The rooms were clean, carpet is clean and best of all, a very nice breakfast with self made waffles, cereal and toast. Location is perfect, only 5 minutes from downtown.

Horrible moldy smell, got us all sick. Woke up the next day with sored throats, cough and 3 out of the 4 family members with a fever. Location was ok, not the best but ok for the price. Our room was not cleaned the second day. I had to ask fro clean towels and linens and do the beds myself. The worst was the smell.

I really liked this hotel so I ended up staying two more days than I originally planned. Staff was pleasant and accomodating. The only complaint I have was that the access to the lobby with the computer and printer was not available from Midnight to 6am which might be an issue for other business travelers that work late into the night. Free breakfast […] was extremely nice with lots of protein options (yogurt & hard boiled eggs) as well as fresh waffles, cereals, fruit and muffins. Room was clean and well maintained. An old semi-remodeled hotel. It wasn't the worst I've ever seen, but close to it. It was quite depressing. We checked out early. I was disappointed.

"Nice htel in walking distance from attractions"
This was a ncie hotel, room was clean although our bathroom door needs a liitle maintainance (it stucks). Staff was helpfull and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was small but you could make your own waffles. The hotel is in walking distance from many attractions. "You can find a cheaper for the same"
It was not aweful but the location is misleading. Their are cheaper hotels closer to the actual historic sights than this one.The service was friendly but the room lacked light bulbs and smelled like mold. The Historic BW was not the only BW and the other is much closer to the events.

I don't know how they can be allowed to call it a "historical inn". It is a building with the room doors facing the outside of the building. There is nothing historic about it and I wouldn't use the word "inn" to describe it. Since I travel alone on business I do not stay in establishments with exterior facing doors; it feels unsafe. If you look past […] that, I can say that the room was clean and well kept. There were extras with the room including coffee, toiletries, and a fridge. Most of the television stations were fuzzy, the front desk didn't pick up when I phoned to request a wake up call, and there is no food within walking distance. Yet, I wasn't uncomfortable and the drive to get to some resturants wasn't far. If you are looking for a very inexpensive place to spend the night in St. Augustine it is a clean and decent location. "Best Western Historical - close to all, almost..."
Nice hotel, very easy to get to (they all are in St Augi), good rates, comfortable beds. Very easy to leave the car and walk downtown. Nearby is a scooter rental shop, the public library, good coffee shops, and the School for the Deaf and Blind. Conti breakfast aint bad, coffee was good.

We've been to St Augustine twice and both times after a couple of hours of research we made the same choice to stay at this hotel. We don't like low grade motels, we did not want to pay the price of something really fancy. This hotel charges a reasonable price and the rooms are pretty nicely updated, and clean. The beds are comfortable, the bedsheets […] are acceptable. Nothing fancy but really decent place. Only objections I would mention is the walls are very thin, we had a room with an adjacent connecting room (with a door between them). The people staying there were very noisy, so they kept us awake till pretty late. I would recommend a second floor unit because the walls are paper thin. I would recommend it though over all, and I would return again in the future. Les mer

the room was clean. the bed was comfortable. the location was good. had a quiet room with no traffic noise. breakfast was good. had some good healthy choices.

This is a motel. I would say that for the price, I could have done better. While the room was clean, the carpet could use TLC, the shower faucet didn't work (one had to keep turning and pushing to get water), the breakfast area was tiny. But all this would have been fine if the hotel wasn't so far from the action. While on a cool day walking nearly […] a mile and then walking around all day and walking back may seem doable, in 90 degree weather with humidity, it is simply ridiculous. I would say that technically it is in the historic district but in reality it is not. If your plan is to walk around, this is not an idea location (grotty neighborhood). Les mer

The air conditioning in out rroom was in need of repair and the wall thermostat did not accurately regulate the temperature. The room was not as comfortable as it should have been. The continental breakfast was well supplied with a decent variety of food items. The breakfast area was not large enough for the number of guest eating.

I was attending the awards and graduation ceremonies at FSDB and the hotel was VERY close. My only problem, very slight, was that I was on the 2nd floor and I have bad knees. Next time I will ask for1st floor.

Great option to enjoy the beauties of this wonderful and romantic city. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The breakfast in the morning was excellent. Even the waffle maker!

The service was good, my husband and I stayed 2 nights and the staff was very nice. The hotel is in a very good place, near to the all interesting places (no more than 8 minutes). I liked it because it is not in the center where traffic is very high.

The hotel was very clean. The staff and the service were great. The location was not so great. The person at the ,com that made my reservation assured me that the hotel was downtown in the historical disrict; it's not. It's a little over a mile from downtown. I know that doesn't seem like much but when you're not used to 90 plus temps and 100% humidity... […] Needless to say, by the time we got downtown we were soaked with perspiration and parched. Very basic hotel. Ammenities are poor. Continental breakfast OK but eating area is very small. Very convenient location, but tight parking. Be careful where your room is, some are very dark, musty and moldy.
