It was very cozy, beautifully decorated and constructed. We didn't want to leave. Sleeper sofa seemed a little frail, but over all a great stay.

Beautiful Lodge overlooking the Mountains and Gatlinburg. Exquisite restaurant with excellent service and food. Have stayed all over Europe and Us and this meal was next to the top, Wife had lamb and I had filet, both were excellent. Was a perfect stay and will definitely visit again. James

The place was very clean and uniquely decoured in a lodge style with a class. Very comfortable and great atmosphere, I prefer 10 times more than the usual chain hotels. The front people were very friendly and polite. The location was great too, on a hill in trees. Overall, I enjoyed the stay very much but I thought 2 things could be updated. One is […] the hot water. There was a jagzee in the room but I could not fill up enough hot water in it because after a while it got nukewarm (I could take a pleasant bath in the end though). Second is the service in the restaurant. Their restaurant is also great but often there were no wait people in the hall for long time, we had to wait for refills, and the food seemed took time to serve also. I will strongly recommend this lodge to my friends and families though, I wish we have more unique and quality hotels like this in the world... Les mer

We were a couple and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. There were also lots of families with children, and a goodly number with children and grandparents as well. This hotel does well for all of the above groups, adapting to the needs of each, and providing a pleasant atmosphere for everyone. The scenery is beautiful, and you are close to the action in Gatlinburg if you want that, but still separated from the hustle and bustle, up on the mountain surrounded by peace and quiet. We were looking for a brief hiatus from the hectic pace. Buckberry Lodge was a perfect one night stop off for us. We arrived early and the staff made us comfortable to enjoy the facilities until our room was ready. The staff was super. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a quite location in the Smokies. We'll be going back.

Everything you could possibly ask for in a Lodge. Loved the tour and was looking forward to enjoying a wonderful dinner overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains, but without a reservation we went hungry!

staff was very friendly, room was extremely clean and unique with a definite rustic style. it was close to town but far enough away from all the busy areas. could have had more lighting outside. beautiful scenic views of the surrounding area. would definitely go back.

We stayed in this hotel and took day trips to Dollywood, Gatlinburg, and the Smokeys. It offers very quick and easy access to the Smokeys. It is worth noting that to get to Gatlinburg it is a short drive down a windy country road and parking in town is a bit of a pain. Although we both got there with a cold /flu we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Staff was kind and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. If you ride a motorcycle like we did get there in the daytime because it is un-lit, up hil with switch backs. Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. Great location in the hills just outside Gatlinburg giving fantastic views of the Smokies from our room and the restaurant balconies. Rooms are luxurious and attractive with all the trappings of a four star hotel. Fine dining available in the hotel's restaurant with reasonable choice of high quality dishes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice. We have never had a more comfortable bed. The quiet was nice. Next visit we will take a 4 wheel drive. The mountain was a challenge for my small car in the rain going up. Overall, I have never been in a nicer hotel or lodging than this.

Beautiful place but not within walking distance of Gatlinburg. We loved it. Lovely rooms with a balcony, kitchen, whirlpool tub, hiking trails, a restaurant and peace and quiet. We were on the first floor but next time I will request a second floor room for a little better view. We will definately come back.

We expected more from the resort, since it was a bit pricey. TV was old, continental breakfast disappointing. Bed was comfy, shower was great.

The hotel as a whole was great. Views were amazing, 5 minute drive to the strip. Hiking trail to the river on the property is awesome. Staff was great. Quiet and safe location. internet in room was strong. Will 100% return next year. My wife and I are professionals in our mid 30s, we have done well for ourselves and would like the same modern things […] we have at home while on vacation. Things to be improved upon in my opinion are: - TV in rooms needs to be a flat screen, mount it over the fireplace..... - Pool appears to be under construction, would have been nice if it was complete. - The free breakfast isn't so good. Yogurt, fruit, coffee. No eggs, bacon unless you want to pay. When staying, request a 3rd floor room. With extra price for superior room. Les mer

We are very well traveled, having stayed at many top resorts around the world, but this lodge was one of the best experiences we've ever had! The lodge is a work of art, set in a wondrous work of nature. The staff is friendly, professional and go above and beyond to make the stay memorable. Our dinner on the balcony combined incredible views with delectable […] fine dining, and excellent wines. This is one of the places you MUST visit. Hotel staff was wonderful. The town is too commercialized but this lodge is nice and quiet and a great getaway. Recommend more that one night to take it all in. Restaraunt was superb but a little Pricey.

Very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful views, and away from the tourist trap that is Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. We come to the Smokies to get away from it all, and this place proved a great spot to do just that. The only complaint I could have would have been that our room had more trees and less mountains in the view from the balcony, but that's […] picking nits. The Lodge has a great staff that make you feel welcome. The room had everything you need for an extended stay.

The lodge restaurant is "fine dining" and their chef definitely meets the standard! Food and service were excellent. The lodge is up in the mountains of Gatlinburg and just a few minutes from downtown shopping. Don't count on your GPS to get you there - call for directions!!

Room had it all, including, large shower, large whirlpool tub, stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator, and fireplace. Had a great view of the Smokies right from our balcony. Recommend top floor of building. Roads a little frightening to drive, especially at night.

Stayed here for our anniversary. The loudest hotel or even motel for that matter that I have ever stayed at in my life. We were looking forward to a quiet and relaxing stay but unfortunately that was not possible. We were on the second floor and we were able to hear every step every person took on the third floor and the stairs or hallway. It sounded […] like a group of cloggers were pacing back and forth while rearranging furniture. On a high note the rooms were very clean and the staff was pleasant. The lodge was high in the mountains with gorgeous views from ones own deck outside the living room as well as from the outside dining deck. It was decorated in superb taste with a very rustic elegant look. Buddy, one of the owners was extremely personable and made me del like a cherished guest. What a wonderful place to vacation at!!!

The Lodge's staff could of been a little more friendly upon check-in. The person who was at the front desk only wanted to go through the official business and di not offer any other information or small talk. The highlight of the trip was the food at the Lodge. My wife and I enjoyed dinner and everything we had was outstanding!

Great place. Very romantic but still fun for me and my daughter. Food is either really good or just ok. Waitresses are not happy to serve you the continental breakfast which is free.

The atmosphere is very nice, however most of the staff acted as if you were very fortunate to be able to stay there. There were four light bulbs out in our room and very short on bath accessories. The staff at the front desk acted very aloft. That being said, the breakfast and dinners we had there were excellent, five star, and there was one waiter […] that we had that was great! Great hotel in close proximity to Pigeon Forge - especially if you're looking for a quiet place. Mountain roads can be winding, but well worth the ride for spectacular views and a cozy/comfortable room overlooking the Rockies.

The view in this place is beautiful. It is way in the mountains. The cabins are cozy and clean. And the main reception building is very nice. I found it a little overpriced for the services provided in the hotel. After certain time, it is hard to get in contact with the front desk. A beautiful small resort set in a gorgeous setting. Dine extremely well on the deck while looking out on the Blue Ridge Mountains. We wished we could have stayed two more days. All the staff are extremely helpful.
