Oppholdet svarte til forventningene mine. Tredje korttidsopphold ved dette hotellet. Hotellet ligger midt i "smørøyet", mellom handlegata Wangfuching og Den forbudte by samt Tienanmen. Bra smårestauranter like i nærheten om man ønsker noe annet enn hotellrestaurantene. Bra frokostbuffet.

Hotellet ligger sentralt, det var rimelig. Koselig kiosk like i nærheten. Samt internett cafe som vi måtte bruke endel da internetten på hotellet var nede under hele vårt opphold. Ok størrelse på rommet og tven virket. Muligheter for sykkelutleie. At i alt fin plass å bo. Anbefales. Hutongområdet er utrolig fint, må oppleves.

Hotellet ligger i 798 district i Beijing, som er Art-district. Mange kafèer, gallerier og kunst-butikker. Ikke langt fra bra shopping-område, men noe utenfor metroen i Beijing og en altfor lang gåtur til sentrum, men taxi er billig i Beijing - ca. 40 norske kroner til sentrum med bl.a. den Forbudte By og Himmelske freds plass.

Hotellet har veldig bra beliggenhet, gangavstand til bl.a. den Forbudte By. Mange restauranter i nærheten. Betjeningen på hotellet var veldig hjelpsomme og hyggelige. Det eneste jeg har utsette er at de ikke er spesielt god i engelsk, selv om de reklamerer med det og er et veldig internasjonalt hotell. Spesielt concierge bør være bedre i engelsk, ettersom […] det er de som skal hjelpe med alle typer spørsmål om utflukter o.l. Men med litt tid, velvilje og tålmodighet går det helt fint. Les mer

Dette var mitt andre opphold på Park Plaza og antagelig ikke mitt siste.Jeg vil anbefale hotellet til andre,styr unna frokostbuffet, den er veldig dyr, men det finnes alternativer, både american breakfast og continental som er gode alternativer.
"Great hotel"
We stayed for 8 nights and are satisfied with our stay. They don't speak that good english in the reception, but enough to check-in without any problems. They have a really helpful english-speaking staff at the concierge (or whatever you call it) in the lobby, who help out with reservations for excursions, restaurants, taxi and everything else you need […] directions or help with. Be sure to use them during your stay, since it will make your stay easier and save time. If it wasn't for the concierge I would give the hotel a 3 instead of 5 for service. There is no wireless in the rooms, but there's a ethernet cable available if you got a laptop. Don't expect great speed, and be sure to use your local Google domain, e.g. google.co.uk, google.no etc. Google.com don't work. The area right around the hotel isn't that interesting if you're not into high fashion and Ferrari-stores, but a short 5-10 min walk takes you to the shopping street, 20 mins to the forbidden city, 3min to the subway. You got some small kiosks and grocery stores nearby if you want to fill up your minibar and get some snacks. Taxi is cheap, just be sure to have the adress written in chinese, or a map with chinese text on when giving directions. The concierge will help you with that. A hot tip is to visit the Dragonfly spa. Great massage to affordable prices. It's just to walk straight down the street towards Forbidden City, and you'll find it on the left side of the street after ca 15-20 mins. Very good hotel. However, Beijing is a very large city and it is far(you cannot walk in under 30mins) to the typical sightseeing destinations.

A very comfortable hotel, great value for money with a very attentive service. The location is perfect (a little difficult to find at first as it is tucked behind another large hotel) but it is close to all the main attractions. Staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the front desk and the concierge. Complimentary wi-fi all over the hotel. "Hotel cannot turn on the air-con?"
The room temperature is over 26C but the hotel said that they cannot turn on the air-conditioner. What we can do is open the window but cannot help too much. Are they really a four-stars hotel???

Great hotel. I landed at the airport at midnight, aside from the taxi not knowing where the hotel was even when I had the hotel name written down in chinese characters. I was happy to know that the hotel gave me an upgrade when I checked in. I booked two great tours through the concierge. I would definitely stay here next business trip.

"Fantastic value for money"
Great location, super value, great staff. Only a pool/spa area was missing but was available for 80RMB accross the street. 30 min walk to forbidden city and shops right there. Go have peking duck at DaDong Restaurant 2 minutes walk from the hotel!

Proximity is fantastic to WangfuJing shopping district and Forbidden City. Bed could be more plush for an international chain hotel. Good value for location and ambience. Would recommend it anytime for that price range.

This hotel was very nice. The room was clean and the bed was very good. The hotel is not very far from the airport (30min-40min depending on traffic) and is directly in the center of all sightseeing points. The Metro station is 5min walk just around the corner. The only annoying thing was that the personnel did not speak English very well, which should […] be basic for such hotel in that price class. It was also very hard to get hold of someone in the spa (they did not speakl English at all). Even though some language barriers, I would recommend the hotel. "Great Location, excellent serice, comfortable stay"
We found the hotel convenient and comfortable in all ways. Only positives to say about it. The desk and coincierge all speak good English. Thats a great plus. The check in was a breeze and the staff explained we could upgrade to a suite for an additional charge, which we accepted. The suite was luxurios. The coimcierge helped to arrange a taxi for us […] for the day to go the Wall and the Forbidden City. Also on a cold windy day, they suggested a place within a few metres away to have a Peking Duck Dinner. The Location of the hotel is so good, very close to a subway sttaion, very close to the Forbidden City and the Tiananmen Square, and right opposite a Starbucks.If I went to Beijing again, i would happily stay there again and recommend others to stay there too. Good place to stay, walking distance to shopping malls ect....anything extra at hotel is expensive. Visit the restaurant "DADONG" in the 5 th. floor just across the street in Jinbaohui Shopping Center. Best duck ever....we didn't reserve so one hour in the bar. (d) at 50 Yuan a shoot, imported brands, enjoy.

The stay at Park Plaza was very pleasant. We were advised to downgrade from 5* to 4* at Park Plaza aswe were travelling with our teenage son and the cost per night went down by half! The room was spacious and comfortable even with 3 of us. There is a nice restaurant in the Hutong behind the hotel that serves very good and inexpensive meals. We ended […] up eating there twice in a day! Though It is a quiet area and a good 30 mins' walk to forbidden city and Tiananmen Sq, nothing beats having a hotel near the hospital. When you are well, you can walk anywhere but when you are sick, what you need is a good hosptial near the hotel. The hotel is only about 10 minutes' walk to nearest hospital. This turned out to be a plus plus point for me as I needed immediate medical attention one night and was recommended Xie He Hospital. The medication helped me recover from severe pain from UTI to climbing the great wall the very next morning. Though it was difficult to flag down a cab from wangfujing area, we were able to call a cab easily from the hotel but we needed to walk back from hospital to hotel. with the hotel so close by, we had no problem walking back even late at night. The rooms aren't incredible from a luxury standpoint and a little on the small side-but the staff and location is excellent. We found it our best hotel experience of the trip. We had a club level room that included breakfast. Stick with the breakfast downstairs in the restaurant because you get that privilege if you are upgraded to a club level room. […] The drinks and exec. club room upstairs is nice for happy hour but the room is kind of small, and can get crowded. TIPS: Ask the concierge for the location of laundry place nearby. Cheaper than the hotel laundry. If you want a high end Peking Duck experience then you have Da Dong Duck which is across the street. Order the candied apple desert, it's amazing. We had a far more amazing meal at Taste, The flavors of Yunnan Restaurant. Cheaper, authentic and down the road in a Hutong alley off of Dongsi Street which is the same road that the Regent hotel is on. Bout a 15 min walk, ask staff for detailed directions using their taxi card. not hard at all. Hotel concierge booked our Great Wall day trip with a private driver, I recommend that for a hassle free day. Bout 90 USD for the whole day, you can pick time he comes to start the day and he waits while you hike the wall. Over all a great experience at the park plaza Beijing. Les mer

Convenient location, very close to the subway. Line 5 runs here. The rooms are well done and are very comfortable. Added bonus of wi-fi in the rooms. Staff speaks decent English. There is a Starbucks right in front of the hotel. Stayed only for 1 night. Cons- IT is hard to find the hotel as its on a off street from the main road. Its right behing the […] Hotel Regent which is a good land mark to look for. If possible, get the hotel address in chinese and the telephone number. Makes it easier for the taxi drivers. Les mer

This was a perfect base for our 10-night vacation in Beijing. Great location; lots of key sites within walking distance, and having a subway station next to hotel rear door was great for access to all Beijing destinations.. "The Park Plaza- very good hotel in good location"
I stayed in the park plaza for two nights and found it an excellent hotel. The staff were most courteous and helpful and the room was very comfortable. The location was very suitable for walking to Tianmen Square, Forbidden City etc.
FOURTH TIME WE STAYED HERE AND THIS TIME THE BATHROOM IN OUR ROOM WAS FULL OF MOLD ON THE FLOOR, AND TILE IN THE SHOWER. POINTED IT OUT TO NIGHT MANAGER AND HOPE THEY TAKE CARE OF IT.
