Vi hadde et flott opphold på dette hotellet. Kan virkelig anbefales hvis du har lyst til å overnatte på et hotell som ikke er så stort. Slille og rolig, Voknet av fulesang om natten. Kort vei til busstopp, og mange severdigheter. Koselig betjening som kjente deg igjen. Reiser veldig gjerne tilbake hit.

Er positivt overrasket over dette hotellet. Servicen var bra, frokosten var grei, senga var god, rommet var stort og beliggenheten genial. Hotellet ( mer en bed & breakfast) ligger i et rolig nabolag kun 10 min gange unna sentrum. Jeg bestilte et deluxe rom for meg og fruen, og angrer ikke på det. Rommet var stort og flott, og sengen var komfortabel. Ønsker du et rimelig og romantisk sted å sove om natten, mens du utforsker Edinburgh om dagen, er dette hotellet perfekt!

Gangavstand til det meste. Hyggelig og hjelpsom betjening . Kommer gjerne itilbake en annen gang. Svømmebasseng, boblebad og badstue gjorde godt etter å ha gått ute hele dagen.

Koselig hotell med kun noen få rom. Kjempehyggelig betjening! Enkelt hotell, men veldig sjarmerende. Spesielt takene (innvendig) var så vakre. Lite og sjarmerende frokostrom. Litt usentralt, men greit når man er på gjennomreise.

"Bedre enn forventet"
Bortsett fra dårlig rengjøring en dag og noe støv i kleskap, var det ingenting negativt å si om rommet eller hotellet, og mye bedre enn forventet etter å ha studert tidligere anmeldelser. Baren var topp, men god service, god mat og fin stemning. Gatearbeid utenfor trakk ned på omgivelsene, men når det er ferdig er også de på topp. Mange fine restauranter […] og barer i nærheten, shopping-gata Princess Street, P S Gardens og Edinburgh Castle i umiddelbar nærhet. Totalt sett var vi fornøyd med hotellet. Trafikkstøy må en regne med i en bykjerne. Betjningen kunne hatt bedre kunnskap om aktuelle parkeringsplasser. Det som trekker ned totalkarakteren for vårt vedkommende, er de usedvanlig vonde madrassene. Det var som å ligge på et tregulv.

Det beste med dette hotellet var beliggenheten. Midt i prikk ! Hotellet i seg selv, sto absolutt til forventningene. Bra seng, bra bad, vennlige ansatte. Rommet var litt mørkt, og hadde litt lite lys, men det var ikke noe stort problem. Kjekt med trådløst internett. En del trafikkstøy, men det funket med ørepropper.

Great location at the West and very stylish room. However the bed wasn't very comfortable and woke up early from traffic noise. Aircondition would have been nice also, but had a great time in Edinburgh anyway!

"Hudson hotel"
Hotellet var i utgangspunktet veldig greit, nært det meste og en grei pris. Til tross for beliggenheten var det veldig stille på hotellet. Frokost var ikke inkludert og var realtivt sett dyr, (10 pund) men hotellet ligger nært mange frokostplasser der en får full frokost for halve prisen. Hotellet er nyoppusset, så den tekniske standarden er ok. Internettforbindelsen […] fungerte fint. Badet hadde veldig god standard, det var stort, lyst og også nyopppusset Dobbeltrommet var imidlertid noe trangt for to personer med bagasje. Dette var egentlig et enkeltrom med dobbeltseng. Det var dårlig plass til å handtere kofferter og lite gulvplass. Kofferter måtte legges på sengen hver gang de skulle åpnes. Innsyn på rommet gjennom det ene vinduet (av to) gjorde at vi stort sett hadde gardinene trukket for mens vi var på rommet. Dette gjorde rommet som hadde mørk panel på veggene noe mørkt og dystert. Betjening og service var ellers veldig fin. Dette er et greit hotell hvis en ikke skal tilbringe mye tid på rommet, men skal nyte Edinburgh. . Les mer

Anbefales hvis du vil bo sentralt i den nyere bydelen. Hotellet, beliggenheten, prisen var bra/god. Hyggelig betjening, gratis internett. Minuset var litt bråk fra bilene utenfor.. hvis jeg noen gang skal tilbake til Edinburgh, noe som er tvilsomt, da vil jeg bo på samme hotell

Hotellet ligger ypperlig plassert i sentrum. Kort vei til Edinburgh Castle og gamlebyen. Delikate nyoppussede rom med stor og god dobbeltseng. Gratis trådløst internetttilgang. Kan absolutt anbefales.

The hotel overall was good. The only negative side of it was the bed really. We stayed in a double room but the bed was two single beds joint together and this made it very uncomfortable particularly as the bed where sunken like broken maybe. We also had dinner at the hotel which was fine.

"Very good for location and comfort"
I only stayed one night on business and found this hotel to be really good. The whole hotel (except for the stairwells) has a boutique feel to it and the rooms have been well thought out. The bar serves food until late so I did not have any problems eating on arrival. The quality of the food was excellent (except for the coffee at breakfast) and the […] selection was refreshingly different from many hotel eateries. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. The location is great but there was a lot of noise from outside early in the morning. In my case this was actually good as I forgot to set my alarm and got woken up at the perfect time, but it could be an issue if you are not staying on business. The bed was very comfortable even for my bad back. Overall this hotel was a gem and I will definitely stay again if I need to go back to Edinburgh again. Les mer

Good quality central hotel. One minute from Princes St. Room was comfortable and good size. Bathroom needed an up date, but nothing major. Good price at the time of my visit which was business one night stay. Breakfast extra and although expensive for a small amount was good. Staff were all excellent.

The Hudson is a well maintained, modern hotel with good sized rooms. Dinner at the hotel bar/ restaurant was good and very competitively priced. Breakfast was also good and worth the £8 addition. Free wifi is also available and has a decent signal. Would recommend

Stayed here for Hogmanay 2011 - close enough to the action but without all the noise from Princes St. (half block away). Rose street super close too. Very cute hotel - loved the old charm of the building!!! Would definitely stay there again. Loved my time in Edinburgh - and the hotel was part of the enjoyment!

Enjoyed a two night break at Hudson Hotel. Location good, staff were excellent. Room suffered a bit from traffic noise but was acceptable due to central location of Hotel. Continental breakfast was not good value for money as no extra's, such as fruit, pastries , etc were avaiable.

"Great location"
The hotel is located close the caslte, Princess Park, shopping district and various restaurants, incl. Hard Rock. The room is big enough for two people with a decent bathroom. The restaurant/bar downstairs is very popular and some of noise does reach the first floor of the hotel.
"Hudson Hotel - ideal base for weekend in Edinburgh"
My son and I stayed in the Hudson for a long wekend recently. The rooms are a bit spartan but perfectly comfortable with all mod cons - robe, etc. The TV stations are just the basic six - warning - and there is no radio provided. However, the free wi-fi is excellent with no fussy registration required - it's just there - so radio is not really a problem […] for anyone with internet access. There is also a speaker for the TV in the bathroom -some five stars don't have that. Breakfasts (our only meal there ) were excellent, . The staff were very courteous and helpful. Situated just off Prince's Street, the Hudson is a great base for an Edinburgh weekend. Les mer

The main entrance of this hotel was a little difficult to find but once inside it was found to be very modern and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They provided us with tourist information and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

Really nice well thought out comfortable rooms, perfect location for exploring the city both old town and new town as well as shopping and restaurants all within walking distance. "Amazing hotel right off Prince's street.."
Loved this hotel from beginning to end. Reception staff was so friendly and very knowledgable. Free newspaper to room every morning. Room was extremely clean and well kept... Couldn't figure out how to turn on mini bar, but I wasn't going to utilize it anyway. I'm sure the staff would have helped asap. Bar in the hotel was so convenient... U can bring […] drinks up to your room. Free wifi Internet. Bathroom impeccably clean. I had a street view, however it looked like most rooms faced the alley way. Only disappointment was the bed sheets as they were not fitted sheets so I woke up directly on the mattress every morning. Extra sheets and blankets were provided with no hesitation from staff. The location was everything. Never took a bus anywhere... It was all steps from the hotel!!!! Les mer

Located just off Princes Street, the city centre is a very short walk away. The hotel staff were exceptional and the rooms very clean and comfortable. A good Hotels.com rate made this a very affordable hotel. Criticisms were that the room was too hot and there was no air conditioning (the window had to be left open and a fan was provided which was ample); […] the street was very noisy which with an open window was tiresome; the breakfast proportions (other than the full Scottish) were measly and overpriced; and the single lift was tiny so if a group of more than 3 are staying some may have to traverse the 4 flights of stairs. I would stay again simply due to price,location and the friendly staff, but I would go for room-only and breakfast elsewhere. Les mer

I was very pleased with my atya at the Hudson Hotel. The service I received was excellent, the room was comfortable and clean, and the location was amazing. I would definitely recommend this hotel, and I'll definitely stay there again if I'm ever in need of a hotel in Edinburgh!

I chose this hotel for it's location. The location is great but the hotel is just OK. The rooms are dark and we have had difficulty in having them get the the room clean. This was finally taken care of by front desk manager, Mike. He was so apologetic and embarrassed at our polite he offered us an upgraded room, but by then it was our last night we […] declined, he then insisted we have a breakfast on him, which we accepted. At checkout we told Mike that we had two breakfasts, he said they are on us for your inconvenience. If you are looking for Kleenex, bring your own. If you are looking for Sky news it is not available in the room. There are five stations, two BBC and others that are not worth watching. If you need a shower cap, bring your own or pay 50 pence ($1.35USD) at the front desk. We ware in 201 over the street and pub. Noise from both will keep you awake until 3am. Food in the pub was good but a little expensive. Nicola who works the front desk – very knowledgeable, competent and most friendly, and front desk manager Mike, who took care of the room. Les mer

The staff at the Hotel Hudson was very helpful. The receptionist was helpful and made you feel like you were home. The room was very nice compared to some rooms in Europe. They have hardwood floors and a nice double bed. The restrooms were spacious as well. Although at the edge of New Town and West End. It is a nice area if you don't mind the walk to […] Old Town. It is also close to Rose Street where a lot of the restaurants are. Les mer

The receptionist when we first entered the hotel was lovely. Our room was fantastic, very modern and very comfortable. All hotel staff greeted us with a smile as we entered and left the hotel throughout the evening. Wow - the staff here are amazing. They are so friendly and fall over backwards to help. The hotel itself did what it said on the tin and we would definitely return here and recommend it to others. The location was great and we could walk everywhere.

There is a fresh and youthful feel to this slick boutique hotel. The frills, and there are frills, are plush but not pretentious - we loved the elegant sheets, cushy bath towels, comfy robes, and absolutely glorious toiletries. Also, you'll find a nice selection of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate in the room - and a well stocked mini bar (here called […] an "honesty bar") with full bottles of wine and prosecco along with sodas and snacks. We enjoyed the downstairs bar too which was lively and cheerful - and our room was peacefully quiet. A well groomed and friendly young staff, its walking distance to the major sights in Edinburgh and dependable wireless were other factors that added to our perfect stay. Highly Recommended! Les mer
