Hotellet er i en litt morsom art-deco stil og har en interresant historie (les plaketten ved det gamle flyet parkert utenfor inngangen). Ikke ofte man sover i en gammel flyplass-bygning fra WW2. Hotellet har ganske enkel servering, dog ikke spesiellt billig. Hyggelig betjening oppveier litt. Det kan virke som de lever litt i fortiden der de prøver å […] ta 5 pund for en time med tilgang til internett, noe som fremstår som fullstendig hårreisende når de aller fleste andre ser det som en tjeneste på lik linje med gratis såpe på badet. Fine rom. Greit å komme seg til sentrum til tross for avstanden. Buss rett utenfor. Lite å finne på i området. Manglet minibar/kjøleskap på rom. Dyrt internett og dyr frokost.

My stay was fantastic, im back staying there in July, whenever me an my boyfriend want a night away this is were we will be staying, Lark Lane is not far away an we like going there for food and drinks !!

Excellent with family and kids ! Lots of space around the hotel to stroll around...weather was kind dung the stay...few old aircraft parked in the backyard...certainly an interest for Kids !

We were very pleased with the hotel. The staff were helpful, the room was clean and in keeping with the art deco style of the hotel. The food in the restaurant was good - no complaints with either the evening meal or breakfast. The art deco style of the hotel made for a very pleasant stay.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the last few years,and find it is always a safe bet for an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The rooms are very nice,the beds are some of the best we have had in any hotel, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Will continue to return.

I am sorry to say that the experience did not match expectation. The staff were helpful and efficient in both the restaurant and reception but the queue to check in and check out were unacceptable.The hotel room was starting to look tired and the lift had a very sour / damp smell. The number of TV channels was pathetic in this day and age - I did not […] get to see anything I had planned to watch as they were unavailable. The charge for Internet access - especuially given that it was sporadic is a scandal. Les mer

Beautiful hotel lovely features Art Deco style and the planes on the tarmac looking out of our room was a lovely touch in keeping with it's airport history. We did have to initially change our room due to a horrible continuous loud noise 30mins was all I could take never mind try sleeping even walking down the hall way and down to the lift the noise […] was even louder!! Went down to reception an spoke to a lovely girl who changed our room no trouble at all an was informed it was air vents that was the cause of the noise I think if they fixed them or replaced them maybe for a newer quieter version the hotel would be perfect. The bed was sooooo comfy I loved it wish could have taken it with me also the free access to the gym opposite was a lovely touch we didnt use it but still a nice gesture. Les mer

Stay overall was excellent. Only critism was the staff at breakfast were slow. After seating us and taking our order for tea and coffee they were not forthcoming I had to ask again. Slow to clear plates and had to be asked for drink refills this despite not many people dining. The John Lloyd gym next door was the best I have ever been in. We found the hotel a bit hard to find as we'd assumed - with the being called Crownr Plaza John Lennon Airport - that they were situated at the airport site. With no sat nav and a weak Internet connection after a wrong turn, we decided to ring the hotel. We found out the day after we'd been just half a mile away but when we gave our location to the […] receptionist she just said 'I don't know where that is.' Not 'let me find out for you'. She then described the hotel's immediate surroundings (useless until we'd found our own way nearer) and we rang off. We drove round again and finally found it ourselves. It should NOT have the name 'John Lennon Airport' though - it simply isn't there; it's around 1.5 miles from the airport. When we arrived the receptionist could barely crack her face into a smile. Our room was on the ground floor - perfectly adequate for our needs and clean. However the beds were so soft we had a terrible night's sleep and in the morning my back had seized up. The food was horribly overpriced and the restaurant soulless so we ate out at the Pizza Hut - at least you know what you're getting food-wise and the staff couldn't do enough for us and our 2 children. At checkout the next day we had a different receptionist but same stony face: I wonder if its part of the uniform? Overall, although the price of the room was reasonable at £80, the experience was not pleasant. For budget stops in the future we will be using the Travelodge I think. Les mer

i thought it was well worth the travelling :) the receptionist gave us a warm welcome and the room was lovely, even the atomosphere of the bar was lovely and overall a brilliant place to stay

The building is a wonderful art deco experience. Rooms very comfortable and well appointed. The food of good standard. But we had a few minor issues that we needed help to resolve, but customer service was seriously lacking. Those in positions who should be trained in customer service we found to be rude and simply said "here is the general manager's […] details, you must contact him on Monday as there is nothing I can do". Recent stay for 2 nights. Excellent location just a few minutes from John Lennon Liverpool Airport. Close proximity to shopping centre, McDonalds, Pizza Hut & the fab Damon's restaurant. Efficient friendly service. Would highly recommend Crowne Plaza.

The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. The sofa bed wasn't comfortable at all and no duvet was provided with it (had I requested, they would probably have given it).

The hotel itself was lovely, and the staff were very polite and friendly. On arrival they provided me with all the information needed. Also with the executive room we got a free bar near our room from 5.30-7.30 which I didn't know about so that was nice and also when we first arrived fruit and wine was delivered to the room. The room itself was very […] comfortable however the furniture did need updating as it was a bit tatty but overall it was nice. We stayed in this hotel as it was close by to where friends live. We arrived 2 hours before check in time but were still able to get into our room straight away which was a massive help. For people who aren't local, the easiest way to get into town is by car but a taxi ride isn't too expensive. Loved our room and the service. A couple of down sides […] were: very slightly shabby in the bathroom (but only on close inspection), the bed was a small double which is unusual in hotel rooms and lastly the drinks at the bar are very expensive. Booked hotel as couldn't get one in town. Very good bus service made transport easy. Use of leisure facility next door was a real bonus. The outside pool was heated and lovely and the inside one wasn't overcrowded.Would book again particularly if flying out from Liverpool.

Staff not overly friendly but professional. We travelled as a group of girls.Had a room with 2 double beds and the room was a nice size, clean and overall it was a nice hotel.Very good value. Good location as well, a cab into the city centre will only cost you just over a tenner.

Last minute stay and was not disappointed especially with the price. Lovely hotel, used to be a airport in the 20's and Crowne Plaza have kept to this in the decoration which is pleasing. Room lovely and spacious, service good. Taxi to Liverpool City £11.00.

We went for a few quiet nights away and got what what we wanted. Hotel was peaceful and enjoyable even though it is pretty busy. Located close to a shopping centre with fast food outlets and also close to a wonderful restaurant called Damons it porved to be a really excellent location

Room comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Problem with telephone fixed very quickly. Breakfast on Sunday morning was rather chaotic and staff struggled to cope with the numbers of people. Had to ask three times for tea to be served. However Monday morning was totally different so I guess we were unlucky on Sunday.

PROS: Convenience factor to the airport was great as we arrived at 7pm from Belfast and had a 6.30am flight the next morning to Tallinn. Bathroom was good. CONS: There was a wedding going on when we arrived and we were placed in room 001, which is on the ground floor, next to te lobby. We heard conversations and a lot of noise from folks standing outside […] our window, well past 1am. You could also hear conversations from the guests in neighboring rooms. There was no remote in the room for the tv and it didn't work without it. Had to call front desk and one was delivered in a few minutes. Tv had color issues. Charged for Internet. Options were 1 hour for £4.95 or 24 hours for £12.95. Slow speed. I was charged for renting a movie at check-out when I didn't order one. Discussed that with Reception and they said they would fix it. Haven't received my bill via email yet (4days after). Les mer

i didn't find the staff very helpful which was disappointing but the room was clean and tidy. The use of the gym facilities was excellent and we would most likely stay again if we were flying from Liverpool.

Room was very comfortable, clean and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Loved the old aircraft outside, only slight disappointment was the breakfast, left under hot lights and for £10 each thought it could have been fresh cooked, would not order next time.

The room was clean and the service very good. Dinner was a little late and a free plate of bread and olives was supplied. The hotel is easy to acccess from the motorways into Liverpool and the centre of town is an easy run.

Stayed here on a visit for work purposes, hotel itself fine (not top quality but not top price either). Nice room - good space, comfortable bed. Staff left a lot to be desired.

Great location for visiting the numerous sites and attractions of Liverpool / Merseyside whilst being on the outskirts of the city itself. Fabulous building which is immaculately maintained being the old LiverpoolAirport. Staff very pleasant. Only complaint is that you have to pay for Internet service so we found ourselves walking over to Macdonalds […] on the retail park opposite where it is FREE! If you plan to spend most of your trip in Livedpool City Centre be aware that you would need some transport. Luckily taxis and public transport are readily available. Les mer

ATTENDING A FAMILY FUNERAL WE ORIGINALLY CHOSE THIS HOTEL AS MY MUM AND DAD FIRST MET AT THE OLD LIVERPOOL AIRPORT. DAD USED TO FLY RAPIDES AND THERE IS A REPLICA PARKED IN FRONT. THE SURPRISE WAS HOW BEAUTIFULLY THE BUILDING AND ANNEXES HAVE BEEN ADAPTED AND HOW FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL EVERYBODY WAS. Twice could not find my reservation, once after I had already checked in. Had to reactivate my room key. I was told to sit in a chair for 10 minutes until they could look for my reservation. After 15 minutes, same receptionist asked, "Did you want to check in." I replied, "Yes, I had been waiting for you to find my reservation." Response: "I found it […] for you."
