I have not been in a such dingy hotel for many years. Things in the room seamed ready to fall apart, room seemed like it has not been cleaned for a while, there was no alarm clock or phone (despite that this hotel was by the airport). There were lots of little things I noticed right away that were not quite right, most of which I could ignore. It wasn't until I got into bed that realized as a whole how sorry things were. The price is experience for this hotel. I dont think this kind of hotel can be listed on this website. I think the hotels.com is such a good website. Why can you allow this hotel to be listed on the page. Anyway, everything is bad. I can hardly find th e words to describe them. I really really hope it can close. How dirty could it be!!!

the hotel was HORRIBLE and we found condons on the ground the bathroom was dirty and smelled horrible the bed sheets was dirty too.

Booked this place as a last min stay to get down to Midway area before a morning flight. A criteria given to the agent was that it had to allow parking and shuttle service to the airport the next morning. In the morning I was told we could not leave our car there and I explained I was told I was allowed when booking the room. The front desk attendant […] called the mgr who gave the same answer. So, we had to drive ourselves anyway, paying the fee for the room for an unneeded stay and then another $70+ to park our car at the airport. The hotel was very old and run down and for the entire night, several smoke alarms were 'chirpping' in the hallway due to low batteries and no one fixed them. Overall I would not stay here again, nor recommend it, and will think twice about using hotels.com to book by next stay. Les mer

Original assigned room had not been cleaned at all. Room key didn't work and second room was cramped and dirty. This hotel was the utmost worst hotel that i have ever stayed in. The beds when we arrived had hair in it, The odor was harrific from the front door and house keepin if thats what you want to call it could nt speak a word of english. This was the worst weekend ever. I would recomind this Hotel to anyone.

It was the worst hotel I ever been in, there was spray paint on the hotel, broken glass in parking lot, the hotel suggested that we went to there other location, which had a bar inside of it, the music was so loud most of the night, we could not get any sleep, there was no heat in my room, the ice machine didn't work, not enough towels, the people from […] the bar was doing drugs in the parking lot, and breakfast was a jar of peanut butter, a box of cereal and some bread, I would never stay there again Les mer

I have never stayed in a hotel that was this disgusting. There was black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom, blood/dirt on the sheets, and bugs throughout the entire room. The shower was constantly running and we couldn't get it to shut off and it smelled awful in the room. NEVER AGAIN!!!

Our room had one lamp for light, no clock radio, no remote, no dresser. The toilet paper and towel holders had been torn off of the wall. The metal bathroom door had a large chunk rusted out of it. There is no key system - you simply tell the person at the counter which room you'd like to be let into. This is the 2nd hotel we booked via this website. The pictures listed for this hotel are not 100% accurate. There was no hot tub/jacuuzi in our room. The website lists a coffee maker, microwave, fridge and fax machine. There was a microwave in our room and even after contacting the hotel directly prior to our trip, regarding the fridge, there was still […] no fridge waiting for us when we got there. We did get one 24hrs later. Shy of that, the girls at the front desk were nice. The place was clean although a bit rundown. They did have continental breakfast although coffee wasn't always made on the weekend however it was made when asked for it. Shy of that anytime we needed something they were helpful about getting it for us. And YES...there was cheezy HOTEL PORN on one of the channels as mentioned in another review we read about this hotel. All in all, we would give this hotel 3 stars overall. For what it is, it's not a bad place. There is a grocery store across the street, dining within walking distance. We came in for the Chicago Marathon and this hotel was .3mi. from the Orange Line elevate subway. For the price, when compared to what it costs to stay in Chicago, it's not a bad deal at all. it's not your highend hotel, but it was clean and very friendly. If your looking for a hotel where you can save a buck and has the train that gets you downtown in 15min. Then this is your place to stay.

Not the room we asked for, we asked for two double beds. they only had a king. NO HOT WATER AT ALL! No wireless internet in the rooms only in the lobby. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the female help was very nice. THEY HAVE THE TV COME UP ON PORN AS SOON AS IT IS TURNED ON! This hotel is NOT a family hotel. I stay in low end hotels a lot and this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. I would have rather slept in my car. Hotels like this shouldn't be on hotels.com

Super convenient to Midway Airport and train station. This hotel has seen better days, about 50 years ago, but there's nothing nostalgic here. I did check for bedbugs, like I do everywhere, and not a one was found. The bed however was weird, good support but noisy with every toss and turn, of which there were plenty. The sheet (there was only a bottom […] sheet, had to ask for a top sheet and put it on myself) was like tissue paper with strange formations in the fabric. I can't believe that a major company would associate itself with this hotel. I couldn't stay there after the first night, I am surprised the city of Chicago has not closed this place . I am from Chicago and I know the area very well,but I never expected the filth, and other conditions of this hotel.

There was nothing super horrible about the hotel, but it wasn't great by any means. The television reception was bad, but a pornography channel came in clear (it was about the only channel that did and it was free.) Some of the staff were professional, but lot all of them. My experience at the Midway Inn in Chicago was the worst that I ever had and i've been to many cities and stayed in many a hotel or motel. For starters, it was advertise that it had continental breakfast and internet service. That wasn't the case. They was no continental breakfast just milk and spoiled at that, and no internet at all. As for the room, […] an absolute nightmare. The walls were marked up and peeling, the furniture was all scratched up as if it came from the dumpster, their were no hangers to hang my coat, and their wasn't even a television controller for the and the tv had very limited cable channels{only six channels I counted, with half of the them in spanish). The room smelled funny and I swear I was being bitten by bedbugs. At least there was a refrigerator but it had what appeared to be bugs frozen inside of the fridge. The bathroom? pathetic. The faucet on the bathtub was loose so it was dripping water continously and that caused me to lose sleep on the both nights that I was there. the soapdish was full of mold and middew and their weren't even any hangers for the washcloth or towels. Needless to say, I was more than happy to get out of there. All that I got left to say is that this "Inn" should not be in the Hotels.com' list in the Chicago area because it doesn't belong there. my room smelled like mildew, my bed had stains on the mattress, and my bathroom celing was leaking, to top it all off the housekeepers was speaking spanish very loud every morning! o yeah n its a club right next door that played hispanic music loud VERY LOUD!!!

If you're traveling to or from Midway and looking for a cheap overnight stay, this might be for you. Otherwise - stay away! We stayed for a week since we'd booked in advance and regretted it after the first night. Our first room had ants in it and a leaking tap in the bathtub. After two nights we could move to another room which was cleaner but also […] had a smell despite being "non-smoking". The hotel supposedly offers complimentary breakfast but it is extremely simple and at random hours. Wi-Fi in the lobby only. We tried to get a shuttle to the train station (also available to Midway airport) on the date of our departure, but even though we gave advance notice there was no car available when we checked out. Lots of strange people in the lobby, you might not want to be staying alone in this hotel. The area also can get a little creepy at night, by train it's about 25 minutes from the Loop. Located by a fairly busy road, grocery stores and fast food chains nearby. Oh, and there is free porn on the TV if you're into that, but that as well as all the other ten or so channels had extremely poor reception. Les mer

People on here can be pretty ridiculous. Our room was clean, the bed was made, and it had basic cable. The internet was working our room just fine. We were only there a night, but the guy went to pick us up at the airport and even had the shuttle ready for us at 4 am in the morning to take us to the airport (the staff even called us to let us know it […] was ready). The bathroom was not really the greatest, but it was clean, just very rustic. Anyway, I wouldn't necessarily stay here again unless I need a place close to the airport. ALL IN 2 WORDS: NEVER EVER

I am highly disappointed with the service which i received during my stay in Mid Way Inn, Chicago. I stayed there for 2 nights and room was not at all spacious for four people. Table was dusty. No lock to the toilet/bathroom door. Beds were uncomfortable and noicy. And the worst part is room was not cleaned after for 2nd day. No towel change, no room […] cleanup at all. when i asked receptionist to get the room cleaned, he said he asked some lady to clean the room but she did not and now he can not do anything. It was my worst experience with my family in this hotel, carpets are smelly, airconditioning was not working. Actually we stepped out to the hotel and stayed somewhere else, you guys can imagine how worst it would be.

i can write an essay about this "lovely" inn crappy place, stains on the bed sheets, some....weird...noises during the night from the room next door, and bread crums for breakfast. what more would you expect from this Inn? Please PLEASE read the reviews before you reserve this Inn unless you want to kill urself. I'm glad that I've survived from this […] Inn. The best thing about this hotel was the short distance to the Airport and Downtown. But that is the ONLY reason to stay at this place. And overall it's not worth the money. The hotel was old and the hallway was noisy. The bedding was sparse and the bathroom didn't seem that clean. We just stayed one night, which I think is the longest I would ever stay here. Marginal facility. Most people would not stay there if they had a choice. The desk clerk did what was asked of him, 4 am wake up call and arrange for 4:30 am shuttle to nearby MDW.

Don't be attracted by the price. This hotel is a totally abomination. Clearly the most disgusting hotel I have ever seen. I found lot of yellow stains on the sheets (somebody probably ejaculated on it), I could also disctinctively smell the sweat of the previous person who occupied the room. Lots of people bring prostitutes to this hotel so they can […] have sex. I could hear from my room girls screaming all night long. Funny that when I turned the TV on, a porn movie appeared on the screen (free of charge). the worst experience ever...The staff was unfriendly; shower broken; we've waited 45 minutes for the promised shuttle to the airport...that never showed up...And there was this "smell" that was unpleasant, the second, one opens the door in the lobby. Horrible!

This was a cheap hotel and you get what you pay for, the orange line train was close by, staff was friendly, but this is an old, dirty hotel that has seen it's share of abuse and neglect. That said what did you expect at this price

This hotel can be rented by the hour or week. The smoke detectors need new batteries. The porn channel was included in the cable package and came on automatically when he TV was turned on. Ants were also residing in the room. With a complaint to the front desk a new room was acquired due to the sewer smell in the room. The complimentary breakfast was […] calorie free. He repeatedly asked me 4-6 times questiom " Are your 2 of you saring this room. Visitors not allwed... hopless hotell.. This hotel is a short walk from the Pulaski train station. Quick access to Midway airport and downtown Chicago. It is extremely affordable, the bed is clean, the plumbing works and our belongings were secure in the room. Also, the free internet was fast.

The staff were mediocre to say the least, the hotel it's self is dingy and grimy. Not a place for families mostly hookers and junkies stay far away from it

Ants galore, dirty and smelled very bad!

only stayed one night, so can't really rate guest service. the room had a musty smell to it. the beds were very comfortable. in the bathroom only got a bar of soap, which was kind of disappointing cause we forgot to bring shampoo. location was pretty good. probably won't stay here next visit. will pay more to be closer to the attractions.

My room did not have a phone. Outlets were falling out of the walls and/or did not work, the shower was falling apart, the bed was broken and sinking. I was told the "free shuttle" to the airport would pick up at 6 a.m. and at 6:30, when I left to get a cab, it still had not arrived. Channel 4 on the television was hardcore pornography.
