Gwendoline Court Motor Lodge - Rotorua

Units are fine although a little dated but more than comfortable if you are not looking for luxury and is usually the best budget wise around. The shower needed a real scrub as there was a build up of body scum in there. No smoke alarms in units which is a worry.

Called 12 hours ahead to arrange extra bed and mentioned late arrival time. Bed was not even in room. When it was brought in it was not even set up. Fridge not on. spoke to reception who turned the stove on and said it was fine. We sorted it ourselves. Bed linen not clean at all.General condition very run down and shoddy. Though the unit is very dated it was clean and tidy

The reception had good advice about activities around. The jacuzzi was a nice note.

Definately recommend the Gwendoline to you. If you are on a budget and have a family (there were 2 adults and 3 kiddies in our room) this is the place to be because you get the same excellent quality service as you would if you stayed somewhere else and paid an arm and a leg. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The motel was awesome, we all loved […] the private spa bath (in fact its more like a spa pool) and the fact that its undercover, outside your back door is perfect for all weather conditions. Car parking right outside the front door, easy to cart your luggage in and an upstairs bedroom for the kiddies to keep them out of your hair while you have some perfect R & R. Highly recommended, excellent hosts, beautifully appointed rooms and well worth the small amount you pay. Les mer

This hotel is value for money and has all the basics a family would need.

We had a very pleasant stay at this lodge. It was very clean, tidy & comfortable. The Spa Apartment that we had, came with a Queen-size & a single bed on the first floor, and a couple more single beds on the ground floor (plus a self contained Kitchen etc.) which was the most ideal accommodation for my family. This lodge is close to all the action-spots […] and the city centre. The staff are very friendly & courteous. What's more - we had our own spa inside the apartment, at no extra cost and ample parking just outside the apartment. Overall, it's an excellent place to stay - and it won't cost you "an Arm & a Leg" either! I would highly recommend Gwendoline court motor lodge for a great stay at Rotorua! Les mer

Motel is a little on the run down side but the spa was very good and everything was clean and tidy. Comfortable beds. Would recommend for a comfortable short break.

Had a great weekend stay here. Loved the spa in the apartment. Plenty of room to sit back and relax.

The hotel room is very well maintained, clean and comfortable. Nice location with enough parking. The spa was also quite nice. In overall, worth for the price.

The hotel was sold to me as a "Comfort Inn" (which carries a certain basic level of expectation in terms of room quality and property type) but there was absolutely no sign indicating this anywhere on the property, and after surveilling the property I can understand why; old hotel, clunky, very little heat in the rooms (i stayed there in the middle […] of winter), old linens and interiors, clean nonetheless but low on the scale of a motel... when I asked about the "Comfort Inn" association at hotel reception, my question was purposely ignored... very disconcerting... Pour une personne seule de passage une nuit a peu près satisfaisant, mais pôur une famille pour un séjour plus long à déconseiller

Helt OK hotell utanför centrum men nära till Maoriby med rundvandring och uppträdande. Bubbelpool!

J ai trouvé que les photos ne reflétaient l'état des chambres...plutôt vétustes à mon goût. Et un manque de climatisation ou même ventilateur pour la chaleur.. et le SPA comme une grande baignoire avec un robinet...
