Hyggelig og sjarmerende hotell som nok kunne trenge en liten oppussing. Små og trange rom. Utmerket service og hyggelig bar.

The room is small but clean. The environment of the hotel is beautiful cuz there is a small garden in there. But the rules of the hotel cause so many inconvience. Visitor is not forbidden and you cannot eat any food which is not provided by the hotel. I didn't expect to stay in the place with so many constrains. I thought it should be stated clearly in the description before the booking. I could see the opposite window even they had closed the curtain. It made me feel violated in privacy. I will not stay in this hotel again.

I was hesitant about the Edgbaston due to some extremely negative comments by other travellers. However, I found the staff extremely helpful. The room was small, but clean. I would suggest you request a room that is not on the courtyard as the noise from the bar, guests smoking and visiting, and toher guests moving from reception to their rooms is very disruptive. Because of this, I didn't sleep while I was there due to this noise. The price is very economical and incuded breakfast so I would stay there again as long as the room was not facing the courtyard.

Stayed in a single room for 3 nights. Very quiet and clean room. Rather large for a single room. Is very close to botanical gardens and the city centre. HOwever it is a trek if you are going out of the city due to traffic.

Yep - this hotel is to be recommended. Ace value (with special offer), good location, clean, nice staff, comfy, good brekkie. Free wi-fi and good selection of TV channels, not just the basic 5. Would def return!

Was not impressed with this hotel!! Room was ok. Staff were not helpful at all. Needed to use a phonebox urgently and they told me to go down road to use one. The phonebox took all my money & wasnt working so went & told staff who i thought may of offered to let me use there phone which they NEVER. When asked they just told me might be another phonebox further down road. Hotel was like a maze. Bar is a rip off! Top it all off there was a wedding and at night the disco was right below our room, loads of noise!!! just think we should of been made aware of this before we booked room with them. party went on till after mid night. closed window and could still hear all the music. Never again.

Beautiful area of Birmingham, close to the busy Broadstreet where everything is happening at night. Very cosy hotel with nice clean rooms. I have been visiting the hotel on 3 occations and never had trouble with sounds from street or other rooms. Only minus was I couldn't find any cornor shops or deli close by. I will choose this hotel again.

Hotel generally fine Bathroom could do witha bit of attention - weak shower and old grouting TV in a funny position (by the side of th bed) Wardrobe inacceable wihout rearranging furniture. Otherwise completely fine for a one night we stayed

The hotel and staff were very helpful and good, However I booked the hotel mainly for the internet access but the room I got get ample wireless signals so no connection in my room!!! This caused problems for me so if internet access is something you must have make sure you call and ensure you get a room that will have access

We were very impressed with our room. Very clean and comfortable. The courtyard was a nice feature to the hotel. The breakfast was very good.

Hotel room was clean and stay were pleasant. Wedding party was in session but music was turned down after 11pm. Close to City Centre

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff for the money. My room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was included and was much more than a continental breakfast which I was expecting. You could have almost anything you requested made to order. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I am working in Birmingham during the week and until I can find something more permanent . I have been staying in hotels. Have booked according to 'offers' and reviews, so stayed in a couple so far. This hotel obviously caters for people working in the area and was popular with workers. The room catered for a single person, just the one bed, just the right size and very clean and comfortable - felt very homely!. It was modern and fresh and had a nice bathroom with walk in shower. Facilities for tea, coffee etc in the room - I didn't have many tea bags or milk so reception brought me more to the room - with a smile! Staff are very friendly. Breakfast included - choice from a menu as well as cereals and croissants. Built around a lovely courtyard - made it feel very green and countrylike despite being on the main road into the city however, I never heard any traffic and had a great quiet night's sleep. Highly recommended!

stayed there for 4 nights. room was tidy, clean and small. breakfast was good and service overall was fvery riendly and fast. on two morning we had to get out of the hotel due to meeting before the normal breakfast time and they accomodated us. that was great! the only thing i would have to complain about was that there was a party on the saturday night which went on till 3 o'clock and the noise was disturbing. luckily i had a room to the back so with ear plugs it was bearable. All in all i would go there again.

the overall service was good and staff were very welcoming. The evening bar meal was very enjoyable and at a very good price. I would return to this hotel for an overnight stay at the very good rate i paid, but for a longer stay I would probably pay more for more comfort and services.

Stayed only two nights over a weekend, but found the hotel good value. My room was clean and comfortable. Had one evening meal and two breakfasts and found the food varied and well cooked. The staff were good too. Parking was easy although there was a function on one of the nights.

needed a hotel quick when i went to see Oasis, this was 1st one i found, cheap and i was expecting something pretty grim, but pleasently surprised! staff were friendly and helpful, hotel was nice enough, room ok, i love moaning, but i can't think of any reason to!

Really enjoyed my stay, the staff were very helpful, and the food was fantastic. Very good value for money, clean and tidy rooms, really close to the centre, good secure parking, but it does close at 11pm just incase you arrive late, however they did open it on request. Would def stay again!

lets start with positives: very comfortable bed, room very clean. Breakfast - full english very nice with waitress service, although would have prefered self service. Negatives: Inside reception very dingy, no porter to help with baggage to room, although directions pointed out. Lots of stairs, no lifts so not suitable for disabled visitors. Unable to get a good nights sleep some guests spent the night in the courtyard laughing, singing and talking loudly until early hours of morning. Continious knocking by other guests on bedroom doors to enter. One guest had TV volume very loud by 6am. Also a few guests decided to have a sing song in their room in wee hours of morning. Front desk service very unwelcoming, definitely more training required. Next morning I was shattered could not wait to leave.

Everything ok exept being woken up at 4am by cleaner using hoover directly outside the door to my room. I wasn`t happy.

We have been living at the hotel for 6 days/5 nights - 6 adults and a 1,5 y.o. child. It took us abt. ½ hour to drive to NEC or the B'ham airport, and abt. 45 min. in havy evening traffic. The city center with very nice shopping area is only abt. 10 min. drive. The hotel personal has been very friendly. And if I have to mention the hotel restaurant, you HAVE TO try their lasagne!!! Outstanding!!! And other dishes were certainly no disappointment. We have also enjoyed the nice backyard with some tables and benches, and a more quiet environment, when you travel with a child.

Abbiamo scelto l'hotel perché è vicino al campus universitario. Le camere nel complesso sono pulite e adeguatamente arredate; siamo stati due notti in una tripla e due in una doppia: la prima era molto più grande del necessario, la seconda un po' troppo piccola. Ci hanno servito la full english breakfast anche se avevamo pagato per la continental. Il personale è efficiente e collaborativo.

Good, clean and cheap hotel with free internet access and good breakfast. Only 5 minutes with taxi from Birmingham centre.

Trods placering ud til Hagley Rd. som må være en af Birminghams travleste gader virkede hotellet både hyggeligt og fredfyldt. God atmosfære med høflig betjening og udmærket morgen og aftensmad. Lille enkeltværelse men med nyrenoveret badeværelse. Ingen forbehold mod at komme tilbage.
