Sentralitet var det beste!

Very convenient location. Regrettably no breakfast included . Restoration in progress which made some noise - the workers put in long hours ! Otherwise nice quiet neighbourhood. Good parking - facilities. Friendly staff. OK rooms - but as mentioned the hotel due for major overhaul

Hotel ample for my needs and wasnt going to be in the room very much. Wanted a twin room for a friend and I, within easy walking distance of the town, which we got. Bed was comfortable, curtains good as they did black-out the light, towels nice and big compared to many other hotels. Toiletires basic in bathroom and we didnt try the restaurant or bar so cannot comment on this. Hotel split into 2 sections which was a big confusing, and the one set of lifts needed upgrading. Would go back for a good value break.

This hotel is situated close to all the amenities in York. The room was clean and tidy. Would use again the next time I visited York.

The room was comfortable and clean. My only complaint would be the actual decoration of the room. The walls looked like somebody had been scuffing their shoes all the way up to the ceiling and there looked to be felt tip pen marks. It just brought the quality of the room down a little. At the price I was paying I didn't mind too much, but had I been paying more I would have been a little dismayed. There was also some weird padding stuff over the carpet by the lifts - it wasn't very attractive to look at and I wasn't sure whether it would be safe to walk over in the case of having to use the emergency exits. There was nothing up to say whether this was a hazardous area - Not great if you have children with you or need to use the fire exit. I cannot comment on the food in the hotel as I didn't really bother to dine there. It was cheaper to eat out. However, coffee and tea are supplied which was a nice welcome treat after a long morning of travelling. Wireless internet is available at a surcharge which was incredibly helpful. The connection speed was very fast. The location of the hotel is fantastic and everything is within walking distance. The staff were great and all in all I had a really good stay.

Double room had a six inch gap down the right hand side of the bed. Dust on walls. Noise of Air Conditioning units outside and lift motors to contend with, expensive bar and couldn't even get the bread right or tell us they'd run out on our sandwhiches.

Beautiful hotel and great service. We had a room looking at the river and the city. It was a very easy walk to all the sites and had a parking garage.

Hotel room was very nice, no complaints with it. But the hotel itself was not so nice. We stayed from fri night until sun night. There was a constant smell in the hotel all the time we were there. Think there is a few different places to eat and it just had a funny food odour all around. It is a bit of a maze to the room too. We had to get lift to 1st floor then walk about 5 mins to get another lift to 4th floor. Location very good though.

My husband and myself came to york with my sister and her husband for a family wedding. We stayed in the Park Inn for its location. Ideal for its closeness to everywhere. Lovely places to eat and shop on your doorstep. My only problem was that we got hardly any sleep on both nights we stayed. THE BEDS ARE AWFUL. When we lay in the bed we both rolled into the middle. My sister and her husband had the same problem. We had a fabulous riverside view, but at night we heard EVERYONE passing by after the pubs closed, coupled with the horrible beds we had two very uncomfortable nights. We wouldnt stay here again simply because of their beds and the closeness to night clubs. The hotel itself was fine, clean, just ok. There were lots of VERY loud boozed up people staying here the same time, no respect for others.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay centrally in York, The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a lovely view of the river and Minster.

Very conveniently placed on riverbank, near station, Minster, start of open top bus tours and pedestrianised shopping areas. Only a few minutes' walk to all attractions and restaurants. Superlative attention from reception staff. Only disappointment was shabby bar which failed to capitalise on its riverside position, with poorly trained staff and limited stock.

Rooms were comfortable. Location was great. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Only stayed one night but what I saw of the hotel, it was very nice. Very relaxing bar area looking over the river and only a stones throw from the centre of York.

this hotel is central to York city centre and was very useful when viewing the sights and shopping. a short walk from the train station made our arrival less stressful. this hotel is currently being renovated and some of our party had the upgraded rooms but some had the room not yet renovated. this room was also next to the road and watch out for a converted church night club down the road if you require a peaceful night's sleep!

I booked a double room and althogh I got there early they told me I could not have one because it was booked online and no one had told them about my requirement

We stayed at the park inn for one night as my band, Idle Pop were playing a gig at the speakeasy club. Arriving late saturday afternoon the covered car park was almost full but we eventually managed to squeeze our two cars into the two remaining places, i would suggest parking the park inn mini somewhere else as it was taking up a valuable parking space! The hotel is in an excellent location,the room was ok if a little bit smelly, the service was good & the breakfast was very good.

Exceptionally clean. Hotel was full, so I was given not the requested large bed but a double room. TV was missing the cable connection (not that I was there to watch TV but it would've been nice). Since it was hectic I decided not to bother staff about the TV.

A rather shoddy appearance was compensated for by good service from reception. The taps did not work properly and the bed quilts were too small to stay in place but for a cheap hotel it was acceptable. Well located.

Yes, it is not the Hilton, but this hotel is the perfect base for exploring York. It offers excellent value for a weekend break.

I chose this hotel from those 'recommended' by hotels.com for a weekend visit to the National Railway Museum for which it is ideally located. It was fairly clean and comfortable but expensive for what it is. The twin room was small but comfortable and reasonably well provided. However my major gripes were the extortionate cost of internet access, 15.00 GBP. for 24 hours (!) and the antique TV system which offered very littel choice of channels not all of which were even working! The hotel appears to have been built and later extended both times in a dull 1970's 'office' style of architecture totally unsuited to the historic City and it's specific location. Access to the 'extension' is somewhat convoluted and requires you to take two elevator rides and a long walk across the entire length of the first floor. I enjoyed the City and particulalrly the National Railway Museum which is FREE! However this hotel did not enhance my visit and needs to up it's game!

well situated friendly efficient staff

The hotel was very nice and comfortable but our room was next to the lift which was lound when moving from floor to floor so we could hear everytime anyone went up or down the lift.
