We changed hotels mid trip due to horrible conditions at our other hotel. This one was along the same price range so we took advantage of this place. Rooms were very unique, quaint, and relaxing. A bit lacking in the maintenance overall but for the value and location to Fort Lauderdale Beach I could see us staying here again. The family that runs this […] was very friendly and accommodating. Showed us rooms so we could pick out which we liked. Had a small kitchen. Certainly not the best you will find but I did find it very cozy and affordable. Worth trying! Les mer

The hotels in Ft. Lauderdale are ridiculously expensive due to few options for travelers. This hotel was beneath the expectations of what was paid for the stay. The room was in poor maintenance and the views were of a parking lot and an alley. The staff was pleasant and helpful and the parking was free, but this hotel was shoe horned in between two […] other buildings so it felt like a dungeon. It stated it was a non-smoking site, but smoking is allowed in the garden area and when that occurs the entire compound reeks of smoke. Our room was on the bottom floor and we had to hold our breath to go from our room out to the street. My advice: If your going to spend this kind of money, spend a little more and get a nicer place! Terrible experiance - When I arrived at hotel no one was in the office. The worst hotel I have ever seen. It should be taken off market. I blame Expedia for having this property as option. THE WORST EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOOOO Dirty -

Bagel & coffee does not equal breakfast ..!! Shower was unbearable with 2 pin holes for the water to come out which felt like the water was cutting your skin..!! Towel rack falling off the wall... Mold around air conditioner & wall deteriorating...

I was very disappointed with the overall condition of the hotel. It's not the worst I've ever seen, but for the price and the location I was expecting more. There was no phone in my room and the one outside barely worked. The free breakfast was very unhealthy and didn't look sanitary or fresh. The hotel staff was very unprofessional and mean spirited. […] However, things got better on the second day. The hotel is perfectly situated on the beach, walking distance to everything which is why I chose it in the first place. If you can overlook the small stuff as I did, this isn't a bad place to stay. Do not believe the pictures or descriptions. This place is dirty, rundown and not at all what I expected. Do not stay here it is nasty, rotten floor boards moldy walls with holes, rust stained tub and filthy. Do not stay here.

The good thing about my stay here was that i just needed this hotel for 1 night because of a wedding i was attending and i didn't want to drive back home drunk. I understand when a place is old, but what i do not understand is when you let-the-place-go into shambles. I stayed in the Venice room, the roof was showing signs of mold and it was peeling […] off the ceiling, there was no wifi. For the price I paid here, i could've gone to a closer place from where the wedding was taking place and paid less, but i chose this one because it had 'nice pictures'. Never Again.. Les mer

the windows were broken, AC not working with cracks in the walls and what looked to be molding on the windows. Owner told me and I quote "Window is not broken its just cracked" REALLY!! there is a piece of the window missing!! horrible we went to the Westin near the beach best decision ever dont let Gigis ruin your vacation

Gigi's was an historic inviting landing spot amidst the family oriented life of the Fort Lauderdale Beach community. The quaint quiet location was the perfect setting to rest your head comfortably at night ready to have a quick bite and head to the beach the next morning. Gigi's was very friendly and convienant for the price we payed. The location was perfect! Walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops. The hotel is old but clean and comfortable. I would definetely stay here again and would recommand this hotel to other guests. It's a great deal for the price. They also have a continental breakfast and free […] parking space. Les mer

The Good: Manager is very nice and Gigi's is very close to the beach. The Bad The entire place needs to be cleaned and updated- The ugly- the hot water took over 20 minutes just to begin to warm up, the toilet wasn't cleaned, one of the windows was broken.

We needed a place for 1night... We should have picked another hotel.. Like another review said, the pictures has nothing to do with the real place... Everything was falling apart, the toilet moved on the floor, water did not heat fast and lasted only a little, towels were old, there was hair from the previous guests on the bathroom floor, wood flooring […] was creaking at every step, dirty bed sheets, not garanteed a parking space (otherwise we would have to go somewhere and pay), we didn't even wanted to try their continental breakfast... We could go on, but we just wanted to picture the idea... Don't go there! We are not joking!!! Les mer

We arrived late to check in, about 2:00am. There was no attendant available, although a note was left for us that our room door was unlocked and to help ourselves. In my opinion, this creates an unsafe atmosphere as anyone could have entered the room, without staff present. In addition, a few of the windows in the room were literally jagged broken, […] and it was a very cold night for Florida. We could not stay as the room would have dropped to 40 degrees that night. A completely horrible situation to get into. Simply stated, you would likely be wise to avoid this place unless your a college kid on spring break and don't care about the conditions and/or safety. Gigi's is very basic -- nothing fancy -- but perfectly serviceable, convenient, and its proprietor goes out of his way to make his guests comfortable.

Staff was very friendly. My boyfriend and I stayed there for 3 days but I don't recall housekeeping knocking on the door. The room was clean but the bathroom not so much. I could actually hear the people staying in the room next to us.

Stayed one night. Location was great. Hotel was fairly run down but we spent the time down on the beatch front. Area is excellent for bar/restaurants and music. Ok for one night.

Because of a late flight, I knew my arrival would be pushed back to 10 PM - called ahead & was told no problem, my key would be on my bed in the MORROCO room . . . with some trepidation (no night staff), I found an interesting little hotel a few blocks from the beach & discovered the Morroco room had all of the amenities of a mid-scale chain but the […] ambiance of a bed & breakfast. I left my phone charger at home & when I went out early the next morning, the manager graciously offered his to charge my phone. He had also just finished making a GREAT continental breakfast. First the hotel manager didn't show up for 2 hours and we had to wait outside on the steps. The sheets had stains and holes all over them. The complimentary breakfast was a disaster and on a whole the hotel was a shambles.

The hotel is somewhat run-down and needs updated and paint. The Manager was very pleasant... but... the towel rack fell off, and it is somewhat dilapidated. Breakfast was to be eaten on a dirty table with dirty ashtrays The location is close to the beach and good restaurants, however...if you can overelook these issues.

Dont go here it is old and the boilers are left off. The price is good but not worth it there is a lot more hotels that are better.

I believe the bed was taken from the side of the road. If two people lay on this king you will soon find yourself rolling to the center of it. My wife did not sleep well. There was a large hole in the drywall below the air conditioner. You could easily see light coming from around the air conditioner in the wall. The ceiling fan blades were covered […] in dust; I sneezed and coughed all night. The window in the bathroom would not close, not that this would matter. There was a large rust hole in the frame where bugs could easily fly into the room. I have stayed at one star hotels that were better than this two star. Les mer

If you want to pay for your hotel and be denied checking in because the owner isn't on property and "just feels like it", than this is the hotel for you. If you want to stay at a hotel that stands by the high regard that Expedia usually represents than say away! We had to call the police after 2 hours of attempting to check in. The office was closed […] and the emergency phone number provided to call if you need assistance wasn't answered. We had to sleep in our cars, in a different parking lot, because the "free parkng" that the hotel provides is a tow away zone. Don't forget that this "beach front resort" is 2 blocks away in a not so great neighborhood. Les mer

The hotel was very clean, the neighborhood was very nice and the beach was across the street but hot water took forever to come out of the faucet, bring your own soap, shampoo, toothpaste, the breadfast was very poor.

Next door to the Ritz Carlton and Westin. Directly on the main strip with a lot of restaurants, bars and shops. Amazing price for this location. Rooms were not fancy, but clean and comfortable. Free Parking, internet access and basic breakfast.

I rented at GiGi's last minute and went into it expecting a room to sleep and no more. We were pleasantly surprised to find the hotel quite chic. Gigi's is all about location at a great rate. The rooms are not fancy and the place is older but for the price it was fine. It is walking distance to the beach and dining.
