Fint hotell med god standard og veldig sentral beliggenhet rett ved Via Grande. Bra restaurant. Et minus er at et kulturmøtested for ungdom ligger rett over gaten - det medfører en del støy fra ungdomsfest på ettermiddager og kvelder som kan være plagsom.

Et hotell med perfekt beliggenhet for 3 damer som skulle oppleve Madrid, samt shopping. Rommet var litt lite til 3 personer da det ikke var stort igjen av gulvplassen når ekstraseng ble satt inn. Som vi var forberedt på hadde rommet heller ikke skikkelig vegg mellom rommet og badet. Den ene veggen samt døren var i frostet glass, og det var en stor glippe […] mellom dør og vegg, slik at toalettbesøket dermed ikke ble så "privat" som ønsket. Vi hadde rom ut mot bakgård, og opplevde hotellet som rolig, fint og trygt. 3 trønder damer. Les mer

"NICE HOTEL"
I have been to madrid before, but have to say this hotel was best one! Nice rooms and really good staff who could speak really good english! The girls on the desk was pretty as well................!!!!!!!!!!!
"Okay and very central."
This hotel is very central and nice with helpful staff. The rooms are relatively small and narrow with a laptop and a small tv that has almost only Spanish channels :-( There is parking house next to the hotel but costs 30 euros per day. I and my companion stayed there for Easter and can recommend to all which is not very demanding and want a nice base […] in the city to explore Madrid. Oslo-Norway Les mer

Extremely unsatified the hotel manager was extremely rude and not helpful my room was cold to the point where I sleeped with my coat on as well my boots and scarf I complaint to the front desk several times I waited for a while to see if the heat would kick in at this point it was midnight I started going to the front desk and got no where I asked to […] speak to management no where to be found when I checked out in the morning the manager was unprofessional rude and not helpful I would never recommend the hotel nor ever go back they have no customer service nor cUstomer service.. Very good location - located in centrally of Madrid city with a short walking distance to shopping area, restaurants and very easy access to get bus, metro. Friendly & very helpful staffs, it is our second time stayed in this hotel - strongly recommend this one to everyone who will visit Madrid - valued for money and enjoyed.
"The Hotel Petit Palace San Bernardo Madrid"
The biggest complaint I have of this hotel is the cleanliness. The chair in the room was dirty and wet with some type of Vaseline. It looked like someone sat down on the chair naked with lotion leaving an imprint of someones behind. Disgusting! The second biggest complaint I have is the comfort of the room. Sleeping on that bed felt like sleeping on […] the floor. Very very very hard mattress. The room was too small and very load because of the street noise. You could also here the guests in the other rooms. They said they had Wifi but it did not work. I've been living and traveling through Europe for the past four and half years. High Tech Hotels like Petit Palace are similar to Motel 6's in the USA. Roach Motels.... I had reservations for two days in that Hotel and I only stayed one night because it was a dump. The rooms were nonrefundable so I lost money by leaving a day early. The location is amazing. Plenty of places to eat near by, including pubs and bars. They do accept pets under 15kg. Les mer
"Petit Palace San Bernardo - ideally located&modern"
Very happy with the hotel and would recommend it to anyone staying in Madrid. Room was a decent size for 2 people with minimal luggage - not much storage space. Very clean and had all appliances etc including free internet either on your own device via wifi or on the laptop provided in the room. Large, spacious bathroom with very good shower. Hotel […] quite modern throughout, definitely tries to live up to its "high-tech" name. Located a 10sec walk from Gran Via and 10sec walk from Santo Domingo Metro station. "Petit Palace - San Bernardo"
We traveled to 5 cities on our recent trip to Spain and stayed in similar price range hotels. Petit Palace in Madrid was the worst by far. The beds were very uncomfortable, the sheets had stains on them, the curtains had burn holes, and the room overall wasnt very clean. Also, the bathroom door didnt have a lock, it was actually a swinging door into […] the bedroom. The location, however, wasn't too bad. Overall, i would suggest finding a better hotel if you want to sleep comfortably and like your room to be clean. Les mer
"Fine Place for a Short Stay"
I recently traveled to Europe with my girlfriend and we spent a few days in Madrid. Based upon the pictures and reviews, I must say that we were both expecting a little bit more from the Petite Palace. Nevertheless, the room was fine for a few nights. There was almost no extra space with only about a foot on one side of the bed and a couple feet before […] a desk on the other and a small walkway. There were also two arbitrary pillars in the room, one blocking a large portion of the walkway to get in and another inconveniently placed in the bathroom. The bathroom was probably the worst part as the raised sink and small counter left little space to spread out toiletries. The pillar was also extremely moldy and dirty looking from a lack of fan in the bathroom while the hot water was running. The shower also lacked any sort of door instead just having a piece of glass for a few feet and a then a three foot gap to walk through, thus enuring that copious amounts of water were on the floor after each shower. The free wireless was nice and a large part of the reason we chose this hotel, but the service was relatively spotty and slow when acquired. Yet, the location was great as we were only a half block off the main thoroughfare and had good access to the center of the city and some neat surrounding areas within a 10 minute or so walk. While neither of us would have liked to stay for much longer, the hotel was definitely suitable for a few days stay and as long as you are not actually looking for a 4-star hotel, it is a nice enough place to lay your head down for the night. We asked for two twins and though we would be getting two separate twin rooms as our booking was for 2 females and a male. But we were given a twin room with an extra bed for the male which cramped the room. Needless to say the staff were friendly and helpful at reception, and room was always clean when we returned. Conveniant location and short 10 min walk from the palace and 2 mins from Gran Via this was a modern ideal hotel for our tourist trip to Madrid. Les mer
"you grew to like"
At first we were a little disappointed with the dark-grey ambiance of the hotel and size of rooms but we quickly settled in and found the Petit Palace an agreeable place to be. Breakfast was excellent, especially the selection of fresh fruit and the delicious almond cake. We wanted to see the Art Galleries and the location is not too far (about 30 minutes […] walking) but it gets a little laborious especially on a hot day, so good walking shoes are necessary. Really a very ideal location for visiting the central attractions of Madrid. Everything worked out really well, and the staff in the front desk were very helpful.

Hotel was in a very convenient location in the old city and staff were very helpful. Beds were extremely firm; so if you like firm beds you have come to the right hotel. I had booked a kingsize bed and ended up with a twin. However the staff did move me once a room with a king size bed did become available. They even offered free bikes to tour the […] city. Les mer
"5day stay at the hotel"
the hotel is just in the middle of the city 10min walk away from SOL (main piaza). the surrounding of the hotel is not the best ever but considering the price, it is in an awesome location. the room was quite small and there wasn't alot of space. moreover the cards and safe frequently failed to work, but on the other hand a free laptop / wifi service […] were available in the room so i could save up space and avoild the weight of travelling with my laptop. due to the location, we were at walking distance to most center city sites and 1minute walking distance from the metro. I recommend this hotel if: - outside noise pollution does not disturb you too much (you are in the center of the city) - you require internet connectivity - want travel cheap, as the room price is cheap and there are supermarkets close by to save up more money Les mer

"Great updated hotel and great location"
We have been traveling to Europe every year for the past 5 years and the Petit Palace San Bernardo was by far the best hotel and best location we have had. The hotel has been renovated with modern accomodations, the size of the room and bathroom was very good. The front desk was extremely helpful during every shift (our stay was 5 days) and spoke English. […] In terms of the location, the hotel is walking distance to everything including 1/2 block from the Gran Via which is the main street with theaters, shops, and restaurants. We did not take the breakfast package,but it was not necessary because there were so many coffee shops within 1 block. There is also a garage parking facility 2 blocks from the hotel which made it very convenient since we had a car for 2 out of the 5 days. Les mer
"Petit Palace San Bernardo - 'boutique' wannabe..."
We were very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. Because of the 'Star' (4) rating and hotel descriptive and pictures, we were expecting a 'boutique' hotel that was well situated. The hotel is very well situated, although the street in front of the hotel acts as a bus dispatch until late in the night. The 'boutique' portion is lacking... This hotel […] is 'at best' a 3 Star hotel. Too many details and finishing touches are lacking to be a 4 star. Besides, if you have a room on the front of the hotel, it is very difficult to sleep with the bus and street noises until very late in the night. "Good value in central location"
If you want to walk around Madrid this is a great location. However, there is no bathtub to soak your weary feet at the end of the day. The front desk staff are great and are full of suggestions for where to eat,etc. Bring your walking shoes and see the heart of Madrid.

The one thing I loved the most, the shower! This hotel is really great and the location couldn't be better. The only thing, the bunk beds weren't comfortables. Breakfast is perfect (even if it's not included it's very affordable and excellent) They were all friendly and ready to help you with anything. The hotel was fine, but I find the 4-star rating hard to swallow. Room very small, decorations blah (a bit like a college dorm room), but it was clean. Staff pleasant and helpful, but very young -- so not really on top of, for example, higher-end restaurants to recommend. "Too much high-tech"
Hotel has very nice location. Design is nice, but some high-tech features give the more trouble than comfort (lamps produce too much heat, shower's door should be wider). Very nice breakfast.

Clean room but small with limited space for clothing in office style wardrobes. Grey decoration was a bit depressing. For a similar price the Room Mate hotel chain is better.

Of the several Hi Tech hotels in central Madrid this may be the least attractive. Everything was OK, but there was something just not up to par. The location was very covenient, near the Palace, Grand Via and a metro stop just across the street, but it wasnt really pretty like most of Madrid. My biggest gripe was that the computer in the room was ancient, […] hard to use and a joke if this was what hi tech was supposed to mean. I would rate this as a 3 star hotel, not 4. Although the location and the people were great, not to mention the laptop they provide in the room with internet connection, the rooms and basic amenities need a lot of improvement. We had a triple sharing room located at the attic. It was quite dark and the lighting in the bathroom was quite terrible. It […] was glaring as their halogen lights were wall mounted and directed towards the mirror. If you adjust the halogen lights, then the bathroom becomes too dark. Basic products in the toilet also needs improvement. There was a minor leak in our room, being an attic. There was also a few times when their main elevator broke down and we had to use the service elevator at the end of the hallway. Les mer
This hotel was satisfactory, but not great. The air conditioning was inadequate, but it did work. The staff was not as knowledgeable nor has helpful as in other hotels where we stayed in Spain. I was not particularly fond of the location, but I don't know Madrid well enough to determine if this was a dangerous or bad location. We had no problems.
"Good location, but loud street"
Great location; easy walk to several attractions, super close to great metro system and main street (Gran Via). However Gran Via gets going early with traffic and you can hear it, if you're a light sleeper. We had a family room for 4, which was crowed for all adults, and only one (nice!) bathroom. "Wish we'd had an extra night to make more of this place"
Great central location, but quiet. Nice to be able to combine a stylish room/bathroom with practical arrangements with kids. Our 4 and 7 year olds were delighted with their bunk beds, and had they been older we'd have made use of the free bikes. Free jiuce and water in reception were really appreciated. Staff really helpful - fluent in english but […] also tolerated our attempts at spanish. Only down side was that our room had been a smoking room although this was only really noticeable when the air conditioning was off. As we were only staying one night we didn't try and change it so not sure what the response would have been. Les mer
"Bon rapport qualité/prix"
Séjour agréable pour un week-end. L'hôtel est très bien placé. Le personnel est courtois. Nous n'avons pas essayé le petit déjeuner. Deux bémols: la clim qui ne marchait pas, ainsi que les problèmes d'ascenceurs (mal venus pour une chambre au 6ième étage). Malgré tout, je recommande.

Det bästa med hotellet var läge, hotellet ligger verkligen centralt, gångavstånd till det mesta. Rummet vi fick låg på bottenvåningen med utsikt mot en gråkall betongvägg, väldigt litet, ofräscht med slitna möbler, icke fungerande dator, stora läckage fläckar i taket. Ofattbart att detta hotellet kan kategoriseras som 4-stjärnig hotell! Vi reklamerade […] rummet första dag och fick möjlighet att flytta till ett nytt hotell som inte låg centralt eller stanna i hotellet och byta till ett nytt "bättre rum" dagen efter. Nästa dag fick vi ett nytt rum på 2 vån, lite bättre än den första men långt ifrån en 4-stjärnig hotells rum. Datorn fungerade inte heller i den nya rummet eftersom "någon tog med sig sladden" enligt personalen men det åtgärdades aldrig. Som kompensation för den dåliga rummet blev vi bjudna på frukost (en morgon) och en talrik med tapas. Det var en trevlig gest med det är inte det man efterfrågar och betalar när man bokar ett rum på en 4-stjärnig hotell. Les mer

Hotelrummet var kallt eller för varmt och mycket lägre standard än intrycket man får av bilderna. Det är inte särskilt rent heller. På plussidan är personalen och så klart läget. Dock skulle jag hellre betala lite extra för ett bättre och renare hotell på samma läge. Inte värt det vi betalade. Motsvarar på sin höjd ett 2+ stjärnigt hotell i Sverige […] . Les mer

"Pænt hotel - men skuffende morgenmadsbuffet"
Hotellet var ganske nyrenoveret og havde en god beliggenhed. Desværre skuffede hotellet mig på følgende punkter: - Sengen var meget hård at ligge på - De varme retter i morgenmadsbuffeten var lunkne - Æg, bacon og pølser var kogt istedet for stegt - kødpålægget i buffeten virkede meget billigt og uinteressant

"Petit Palace: no muy comodo"
Las habitaciones muy pequeñas y con un olor a humedad que desconcierta. No tienen un aviso del Hotel que fuera visible en la noche. El aire acondicionado enfria demasiado y no tienen edredon salvo por una cobija te hace estornudar (cabe destacar que cuando intentaba subir la temperatura del aire este se apagaba asi que, aguantas mucho frio o aguantas […] mucho calor. Lo bueno es que queda a 20 metros de una estacion de Metro y se llega muy rapido a las atraccionesprincipales. Se llega caminando a lugares como: palacio real, puerta del sol, plaza mayor. Les mer
