Det begynt dårlig. Sto utenfor appartment, ingen resepsjon, ringeklokke eller telefon nr på døren. Det var ingen telefon nr. i bestillings bekreftelse heller men heldigvis hadde jeg funnet et telefon nr jeg fant på nettet før jeg reiste. Etter to forsøk svarte en på telefonen og kom etter 5 min tok oss med inn.Rommet var i 2. etg og inngangen var på […] bak siden av bygget. Området rundt bygget så (nesten) ut som slum med masse skrut. Minnet om siste reisen til India. Any først hun låste opp døren, så det var "NESTEN" luxary. Skriver "NESTEN" fordi luxary er et relativt ord for hver og enkelt, men tilstanden på rommet skal det sies å være veldig bra. Så siste ord er om du skal reise for være inn i et "luxary" rom uten å se ut av vinduet eller å bry om inngang synet, så anbefalles. Les mer

This was a nice place in the heart of the city. Staff and owner were very friendly. But it was a hard to find the reception. Bring the number with you. But once inside they offer a comfortable apartment setting.

Though it wasn't the exact room in the photos, my friends and I loved our stay. The construction was still going on when we stayed there but it didn't begin until about 9am so it didn't affect us in anyway. Would have to say, go for a room with a shower and not a soaking tub but definitely go for this hotel/apartment as it's an amazing value for the […] size of the space you're going to get and it's right in the heart of the city. The location of the apartment is smack in the middle of downtown Reykjavik, with a lot of things, including the main shopping street in short walking distance. The apartment itself is a studio style apartment, open-plan and compact. Very funtional and very clean. The kitchen was very handy especially because we are vegetarian and there isn't much veggie […] food (apart from pizza, pasta, etc - nothing Icelandic!!) One thing I did notice was that the hot water smelt a bit like rotten eggs due to the sulphur from the hot springs - basically the hot water is natual hot water - no boiler invoived. Personally I didn't think it was that bad at all, but if you're picky, I'm sure you could pay a hotel at double the price to get non-smelling hot water!! There is free wi-fi, which seemed pretty stable and reliable. The secure wifi access point was down but there is a non-secure one which is also run by the apartment people and that worked fine (just don't pass too much sensitive info through it!!) The shower/toilet facilities were also very clean and modernly decorated, as was the rest of the apartment. The sleeping arrangements were slightly unique - there's no bed, just a thick mattress on the floor - It was actually proper memory foam, and not the cheap kind; very comfortable. The temperature in the room is controlled by thermostatic radiator valves on each of the radiators - simples. There's satelite TV in the room and its got all the british channels, proper BBC 1, BBC 2, etc. Les mer

Good point about the apartment : It is centrally located with shops, restaurants and travel agents within walking distance. Bad point: 1) Japanese bath tub was leaking and the management did not fix it until the fourth day ( we had booking for six days & five nights) 2) Trash in the kitchenette and bathroom were not removed despite our constant reminders. […] Website stated that the trash will be removed daily. Not so. 3) No one came to clean the place the entire time we were there 4) Bedrooms were cold, not enough heating 5) Construction going on next door Les mer

Manager was very friendly and helpful. Went above and beyond to help us out.

My 5 day stay was in the Home Apartments penthouse space, which is a two-bedroom unit with fantastic views of the center Reykjavik, the harbor, and Esja on clear days. I've stayed in many places in Reykjavik over the last 7 years while working on a project there. This is one of the nicest I've found -- great location, comfortable, full TV programming, […] kitchen with a real stove and oven, internet and local phone service included, and a bargain. One thing Hotels.com doesn't tell you is that you'll have to check-in at 2 Thingholt Street (1 block east, a 2 minute walk). Have your taxi or airport transfer take you to the Center Hotel Thingholt and ring the buzzer for Apartment K across the street from the Thingholt lobby, and you'll be helped to your apartment and given keys by one of the Home Apartments staff. If you're driving a rental car to the apartment, you can park in front of the Home Apartment building in one of their spaces and walk around the corner to Apartment K. You really won't be disappointed with this property or its management. Few of the luxury hotels can compare in accommodations and none have a better location if you're interested in being downtown, joining a tour outside the City, or taking a cruise from the harbor. It's also only a 5-minute walk to the new performing arts and convention center, Harpa. Les mer

We had exactly the same experience as the reviewer of May 20, 2011, even had the same apartment. That said, it was in a great location, and was walking distance to all the major sights in Reykjavik. The kitchen was equipped sufficiently to cook a decent meal, and there is a supermarket close by. Take your own toiletries, only shower gel was provide […] d. Les mer

When we arrived at Skolastraeti 1, there was no one there. The airport shuttle took us to their main office, where they called for us and took us to the right place. At this place, they verified our reservation and walked us to a third location which was the actual apartment. Contrary to what is advertised: It is not a hotel but rather a collection […] of 20 to 30 apartments dispersed in the downtown area. There is NO CONCIERGE. You are given a phone number to call if you need some help with the amenities in the apartment. Mostly you are on your own We had a one bedroom apartment and it was clean and nice but not like a 4 star hotel. For example, no fresh towels daily (only 2 or 3 changes in a week), no facial tissues in bathroom, only a half full bottle of body wash to use between the sink and the shower. Some things are broken or limited in use: the enclosed shower is the kind that sprays from 8 different shower heads but only the hand held showerhead works, it too must be held by hand because its wall mount is broken. The TV has satellite but receives only 3 or 4 channels. There is an Mac computer with movies but the sound couldn't be adjusted. The pretty coocko clock on the wall doesn't work. Les mer

They just tore down the house behind, and the construction noise was a pain, and will be for at least a year while they build the new place. So.... if you want any kind of sleep in, I would avoid it for awhile.

When we checked in, it turned out we were at a different apt complex than originally reserved. Apartment K is the broader company I think. The room was nice, though, no problems. No worries about adequate heat, clean fresh towels provided at the beginning of stay. You just need to bring your own shampoo/conditioner/body lotion. They let us check in […] a little early, but I was hoping it could be sooner, as our flight came in at 5 am! Free Wi Fi access and located right in the heart of downtown, really close to the harbor and the main shopping district and the tourist agencies. Les mer

Vi hörde av oss i förväg om att vi skulle komma runt 22-tiden på kvällen. När vi väl hittat dit (vilken inte är det lättaste) så var vår lägenhet inte städad. De ville då bjuda på en middag medan städpersonalen gjorde sitt men klockan var då 22.30 och vi var inte intresserade av någon middag. Då bjöd de istället på en hotellnatt. Nästa dag när vi skulle […] checka in var lägenheten fortfarande inte städad och då blev jag less. Vi åkte ut på en bilfärd och när vi kom tillbaka hade vi blivit uppgraderade till deras penthouse (deras största lägenhet med en enorm terass), fick en flaska vitt vin och en middag för två på en restaurang. Det var vår smekmånad så jag tror de fick dåligt samvete. Resan började med mycket strul och vi var lessa och trötta men de fixade det hela med bravur och tack vare detta skulle jag nog rekommendera stället men man måste nog vara inställda på strul, både att hitta dit och att få det man tänkt sig. Ägaren verkar vara en framtidsvisionär med mycket planer för utbyggnad etc så stället kan nog se helt annorlunda ut om ett år. Très bel appartement bien situé et très confortable. Le seul bémol, le contact pour obtenir les clés est compliqué. De plus, absence de "notice" de fonctionnemenrt des équipements TV - Audio-Internet.

Ligger mitt i stan nära till allt. Mycket fräch och fin lägenhet med alla bekvämligheter. Nackdelen var adressen. Det är inte samma adress till boendet som till kontoret. Vi hade bara boendeadressen och vi förväntades hämta nyckeln på kontoret. Kontoret ligger på andra sidan kvarteret.

Sijainti on hyvä, mutta juhliva nuoriso häiritsee yö-unta viikonloppuna. Huoneisto aivan keskustassa. Viereisellä tontilla rakennustyöt häiritsivät. Onneksi ajattelivat hieman vieraita eivätkä aloittaneet heti aamusta töitään.

God hotel lejlighed tæt på alt i det centrale Reykjavik. God pæn indretning. Komfortable senge.
