This was perfect for business travel.

Room was OK needed refurbishing. Had iron and ironing board BUT NO HAIR DRYER!!!!! Called front desk they said hair dryers are by request and they are at front desk OK Got dressed went to front desk NO hair dryer HMMMMMMM. Went to Wal Mart bought a hair dryer presented hair dryer and $15.00 reciept at front desk for repayment which was refused. The location was great! I had to wait about 15 minutes for the front desk worker to greet me for my check in. The lady at the front has her child at work with her and the lobby television is turned to childrens cartoons. Her childs toys were all scattered in the lobby. After only 5 minutes after booking the reservation online through Hotel.com, my plans changed and no longer needed the reservation. Since the reservation was for the same day, hotel.com said it would be up to the individual hotel manager whether the reservation could be canceled. Unfortunately, the manager wouldn't allow the cancellation and i ended […] having to pay for the stay even though I didn't need it and there was no way the hotel was out of pocket anything. I will never stay at this hotel again and would encourage you to do the same. Ask yourself if you would want to stay at a hotel who places value on a quick buck than their customers satisfaction. The Microtel Inn in Altus is great for older travelers or business travelers that don't need/want a lot of extras. The room was very clean and comfortable. The downside to me is that there is no workout room, no pool; no extra features that are nice for young adults like me that will stay there 2-3 days at a time and would prefer a gym or spa. The hotel was just so so. The air conditioning in our room didn't work properly and had to be set on 60 degrees in order to cool the room. There was no hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner in the room. The room was inadequate for the price paid!!

CLEAN was the first impression. The entire property was shiny clean and well maintained. The room was large, plenty of room for all our luggage. We were very surprised to see the room had a small fridge and microwave which was nice to have for all our beverages. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were nice and soft. Pluses: Clean hotel, quiet, fixtures and fittings new and in good condition. Several resturants/fast food places nearby. Cons: No pool. Breakfast was a bit sparse.

We have stayed in this motel before, and this time, we were not as satisfied. Mostly, the motel staff seemed more interested in socializing than in taking care of the customers. During the breakfast, no one was keeping things stocked which left the customers searching for utensils and milk. Overall very good bargain for the money except the breakfast, described as continental was not even close. You had your choice of a bagel, or pre-packaged muffin or waffle, no fruit, no cereal-nothing. So if this is not a problem for the visitor, they will ne very satisfied
