DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta Airport - East Point

I was in Atlanta overnight. This hotel met my basic needs - gym, business center, close to airport, reliable shuttle service, clean rooms. The surrounding area has basic dining options. The hotel restaurant seems okay. I had room service and the food was pretty good. Would recommend because the quality was more than I expected for the price.

Would have been great if they didn't charge $10 for me to park my own car and if the front desk attendant wouldve told me they were putting a $20 hold on my credit card.

Excellent mid-tier hotel. Enjoyed the stay, room service as excellent. food was hot and on a time. Hotel is a bit dated though. Could use an update. Free internet would be nice, instead of having to connect to Starbucks nearby.

I've stayed in two other DoubleTree Hotel before and was very pleased. (LaVista & Cobb) I Checked in on 2/22 and had a smoking room with no ash trays. Had two people in the room but only one towel. 2/23 Was woke by a woman hollering and kicking the door (30 minutes) right across the hall at two in the morning and no one responded. Ran out of tissue […] and had to get some my self out of the custodian closet. For $100/night I expected better, and to top it all off I had to pay $10/night for parking. Not to mention a lack of fresh signature cookies!!! Les mer

The room was clean and the hotel was nice. Beds were very comfortable. It was in a quiet location. The only thing that I did not like was paying to park. I was a little disappointed by that. Other than that, every thing was great!!

Over all it wasn't to bad just didn't like the fact that you had to pay for parking at $10.00 a night. Also no continental breakfast.

Needed a hotel in short time and booked the Doubletree on line from the Airport. Did so because of a very positive experience at a DT in Tampa next to the airport. Arrived late and retired to the room. Tired using the land line phone but it did not work. Awoke in the A.M. and could not get the heater to work. Found the hair drier also not working. carpets were dirty. I reserved a non smoking room ,yet, the floor was a smoking floor. As soon as I existed the elevator the smell of smoke engulfed me.

Location is very close to the airport. Great amenities for the price. Friendly staff. Very comfortable rooms. There is not much to do in the surrounding area, but the hotel has a restaurant that is open late and a bar. They also give you free giant, warm, gooey chocolate chip cookies when you check in. Yum! Very friendly front desk and shuttle driver. Room was remodeled sometime in the recent past and had a good bed. Overall, great value and would stay there again.

This was my second stay at the hotel. The employees are helpful and the hotel condition is about 3.5 stars. Nice condition but its age is showing. Worth a stay and not a let down.

For what you pay for the room, you should be able to park for free. They charge $10 per night to park. Would never stay here again.

I think $10 to park over night is high. It is just an outside open parking lot but still have to pay $10 to park. Did not like this. Everything else was good.

It was a really nice stay I think I will probably stay next year their because of the fact that the staff was pleasent at check in and helped me with my room and the service and getting my flight info for yesterdays flight was good.

This hotel was so difficult to find we got lost twice trying to find it. The immediate neighborhood was okay, but just a few blocks away was quite "iffy." Not reassuring when you're lost. The driveway is off of what feels like an alley. The hotel is located between two interstates, which can be confusing when trying to get anywhere and back again. Take […] a GPS! The hotel is well maintain. The room is clean and big. The surrounding is very quiet. If you're here for business the hotel is ok. If for leisure, i think is too far from all the attractions!! Have to take shuttle service to airport in order to take the Bart to the city.

The room I was given at check in had the pipes rattling when someone used water in the room above me. Additionally, the carpet was wet outside the bathroom when I arrived and it remained wet the next morning.

ALL was excellent - this was for an overnight stay when I was shafted by the airline, The ONLY gripe I had is that the driver to pick us up at the Atlanta airport never showed up. Myself as well as 5 other people hitched a ride with the Marriott driver who took us there after 40 min of waiting.

The keys to our room had to be re-coded 4x. When time was of the essence for us, these added trips from our room on an upper floor back to the desk consumed more time than we had allowed so we were rushed. Towels, hand towels, and face clothes were only partially replaced during our 3 day stay. I had to find the ladies cleaning rooms twice to get replacement […] towels so we could continue with our morning baths. We had stayed at this hotel the month before and parking was free. This time we paid for the 3 nights of our stay. DoubleTree uses their cookies that are given on checkin as an advertising enticement. We were not given cookies until I returned to the desk after we'd settled in and asked for them. I could list more, but I will stop and say that we will probably find another hotel the next time we are in this area. Les mer

Everything was excellent! My sister and I stayed 2 nights. The hotel is clean, the staff is courteous and the room was spacious and comfortable. When we first arrived we thought it was in a bad neighbor hood but we soon found out that just was not so. The area has lots of different resturants and within walking distance we found a little neighborhood […] center that had a little sandwich shop where we went and enjoyed a great slice of Key Lime Cake and a scoop of Butterpecan Icecream! Although the hotel resturant was nice (I had a grilled chicken salad there and it was awesome) we enjoyed a late breakfast at this diner which was also in this little shopping center. You are subject to see people walking around since there are so many different resturants and other hotels in the area. Plus its also convenient to get downtown because your right at 85. Not to mention we got a very good rate. If there is a downside it would be that they do charge 10.00 a day to park. But at least they do have a guard watching the vehicles 24-7. Unlike some other hotels where I've had items stolen from my vehicle and they charged me to park. So overall it was a great stay and when I return to the ATL I'll look to stay here again! Les mer
