Hotel 373 Fifth Avenue - New York

Room was extremely too small and should have been noted on the information for the hotel when booking. I had no room for my luggage and there was no closet to hang my things. My room was also right outside of the elevator and it was a bit noisy. I was not impressed!

Very simple and confortable, great price and great location. Staff very helpfull (It wasn't too important for me at the time of my stay, but no iron or iron board available in room)

It's a good location but rooms a bit dated, the tv volume did not work (despite front desk efforts to fix), and the elevator was extremely slow.

We only spent 1 night but it was enjoyable. Modern decor and room was clean and well presented. A little croweded with teenage daughter buy worked well. Bathrooms were very clean - a must. Right next door to Starbucks!

Great location, I could actually see the whole Empire State Building just outside my (really filthy) window. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and nice - i booked a room called "contemporary queen" which was a bit bigger than the standard rooms. Although, I didn't sleep very well since there was noisy construction workers […] outside the hotel during the night, and the air conditioner was loud. I would definitely recommend this hotel to those who can afford it, to me it was a bit too expensive but I had no choice. It was well worth the money spent but it surely isn't the cheapest hotel in NYC! Les mer

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was accomidating and friendly and anything you would need is right there. I stay in NYC at least twice a year and this has been the nicest place I've stayed in five years. I am not a big shopper, but if you are...this is the place to stay - you are close to everything. Hotel 373 is a nice little hotel that is centrally located close to most major attractions in New York's Midtown area. The room was very clean and comfortable, and the staff very friendly. There are only two drawback to this hotel: 1) the air conditioner is a window unit that actually sticks into the room instead of out the window, thus taking up a […] lot of space; 2) the windows block very little noise from outside -- my window overlooked a street that had steel plates over it because of construction, and I could hear every vehicle that drove over them and made them rumble. I could also hear people talking in the street, all sirens, and any other noise. Even more, the curtains could not be closed to block light. Thus, despite how comfortable and nice the room was, I was unable to go to sleep until my body was so tired that it could not stay awake any longer -- about three hours before I was supposed to wake up. Loved the place! Very clean. Small but did not need large since we were hardly there. Staff was prompt and very helpful. First time to NY and very happy !!

All good, certainly for location and price it's very good. Just don't expect too much from it - you'll get a clean, small, with reasonably good quality furnishings. A bit noisy as windows are single pane on a hotel on 5th avenue in corner location.

Excellent location, modern, clean and comfortable. Room was perfect for our needs.

We were so lucky to find Hotel 373. After we arrived, we had to change rooms because housekeeping was using our room to connect an outside hose ( we had arrived before check in) but the staff changed our room promptly and without question and we were able to get out to see the sites. The hotel is located right in the middle of everything. The Empire […] State Building is about a block away and it was an easy walk to Union Square and the Flatiron Building. Penn Station was an easy walk with luggage, and shopping is within easy reach. Macy's is about a block, as is the subway. It was a $12 cab ride to Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The hotel is small with no lobby but it doesn't need one. A Starbucks is right downstairs. The rooms are standard small New York size but my wife and I had plenty of room. A window unit blew super cold on a hot summer day. The bed was super comfortable and everything was very clean. On the day that we left, the hotel staff gladly tagged and held our luggage until we came back at 5 pm to pick it up. We were so very lucky to find a relatively inexpensive hotel right in the middle of Manhattan and we will absolutely stay at Hotel 373 during our next stay in New York. Les mer

Enjoyable one night stay

When we booked the room, we thought it would be a normal size room but when we arrived and got our room key we were shocked. Can the room get any smaller. Great for 1 person overnite stay, ok for a very loving couple but if you do not like a small room, then this is not the place to stay. 373 Fifth is in a great area. And the hotel is unique (i.e., small lobby, etc.) And, its generally clean and efficient. However there are certain aspects of the hotel that make it feel like a motel, namely, the big air conditioner that is in the window of a small room. It destroys the feel of the room and takes away from all the other parts of the hotel. Hotel was okay. Our room was on the second floor, facing 5th Ave. so it was noisy all night, making it difficult to get a good night's sleep. The room was VERY tiny with no closet. Bed didn't have a top sheet or a comforter cover so we weren't real comfortable with having a comforter that's been on other bodies laying on us, consequently we removed […] it. Small hotel few amnesties helpful staff who actually seem to care. Small room was very small King room was ok. I'd stay there again. Expect clean friendly up to date but nothing fancy which is fine with me

My trip was because of illness in the family, and I had to decide every day whether to stay another night, so ended up in a different hotel every night. This hotel was the worst of five I stayed at, and also the second most expensive. THe room was like a double bed in a broom closet. There was a window airconditioner right next to where I had to lay […] my head down in the bed. It was impossibly stuffy in there, so I had to have it on, but trying to sleep with air blowing on you from this noisy thing all night, was miserable. The room and the hotel were relatively clean, but old and entirely unattractive. Two junior Goodfellas greeted me at the door without any pleasantries. The cost was the second highest cost that I paid in the five day stay and it would not have been worth half what I had to pay. Absolutely the worst hotel in NY- even for a clueless European. Yuck. Hotel 373 was a great value for less than two bones. Tiny room but we only slept in it and we out and about exploring NYC. Downside was the road or sewer construction they were doing on 35th Street---we could hear the jack hammers from our 2nd floor room. Bed was comfortable and toiletries good (FACE I think?). Overall this is a totally satisfactory hotel for a weekend break. The rooms are fine, facilties fine. Nothing to rave about except the location as in the centre of everything so you can walk to practically everywhere other than the Statue of Liberty. As you are situated one block from the Statue of Liberty you can always see where you The people on […] reception were really helpful. My only complaint is that the windows were absolutely filthy but then as I looked straight onto another building there wasn't a view anyway. I would recommend. Les mer

Clean the best of all room and faciities to small crowded To noisy not suficient noise insulation

The hotel had smallish rooms, but is convenient and affordable. Close to my work, and easy access to mid-town. Hotel rooms are clean and modern.

This Hotel was a great find at a great rate! I work very close to this hotel and have to stay over in the city for business on occasion. Hotel 373 was clean , quiet and very efficient for my needs. The rooms are small but in a European way. If you need a boutique hotel for a few nights, this place is great...and there is a Starbucks right next door. […] Close to Grand Central too. Les mer

The only problem was the small size of the room for two people.

This Hotel is in a great location, but the room was very small. The room and bedding were clean and very presentable. I would plan to stay at this hotel only if my time in the room was to be limited.

Superb mid-town location for access to everything, including all major transportation venues. While the rooms are actually very small, they are bright and immaculately clean, and provide everything for a pleasant and efficient business stay - including free internet access and good coffee. The hotel is really small, and the room are insane small (even for NYC standard!) Perfect location for business or even touristic trips (it's 1 block from the Empire building)

We booked a full-size bed, however, the size of the bed and the room really surprised us! We know that that most of hotels in NYC have small rooms, therefore we chosed the full size bed which turned to be very small (my weight=140 pounds)! Good position in 5th avenue, but practically without any facility: nothing more than a small corridor as reception, one elevator and small rooms. You may find more comfortable the cheapest Motels !

This room was very nice and clean. Fixtures, bed, tv were all great quality. There was even a real hair dryer. The rooms are definitely small. Enough to get around the bed and put a suitcase. I was alone so it was perfect. Loved the on-demand tv! Location was great for what I needed. Great price.

This Hotel was worth the price!. The room was small but clean, comforable and sufficient for our needs. I was Literally a block from the Empire State Building and it was just of of Herald Square and Macys. Hotel 373 was fantastic. My boyfriend and I stayed there on a weekend in New York and it was very clean. The people were friendly and helpful; the location is amazing right on 5th Ave. under the Empire State Building. The place is teeny tiny but it is so nice.

Excellent location, comfortable bed, helpful and cheerful staff. No lobby to speak of, but who needs one when you're in the middle of everything? I was so pleased that I extended my stay by 2 nights. Head west on 35th St. for Irish pubs and a great Korean restaurant.
