Excellent hotel.Ideal location for christmas shopping, close to centre, superb rooms and staff were friendly, helpful and went out of their way to ensure everything was ok. one fault - NO SHAMPOO or shower gel in room. the Abode is just down the street from manchester picadilly, so is perfect for people travelling to and from the city by train. the hotel is clean and comfortable and housed in a delightful listed building designed by the architect who went on to design the Empire State Building in New York. We had a great stay there.

The Abode is very convenient to the Manchester Picadilly Station. There is a nice restaurant within the hotel, where I had a nice breakfast. They had my Sunday Times for me when I woke up. The room with nicely furnished with high ceilings. The steel beams are exposed but make a nice decorative statement. Very disappointing, my room was rather like being in a school dormitory, large ceilings making the room feel very uncomfortable. The furniture was similarly school like, not very luxurious and not very 4 star. Bathroom pokey and dimly lit. Stayed at the City Inn the next night - 1000 times better.

The ABode represents very good value and is no nonsense, The rooms are spacious as are the bathrooms, the towels are a good size and the showers are fine. Beds are large and reasonably comfortable. Noise levels are good - my night's sleep was not at all disturbed. Staff are pleasant and helpful. There is only a limited range of TV channels and no movies […] are available - both of these should be corrected. The breakfast is of moderate quality but reasonably priced. Les mer

This an excellent hotel by any standard. I will stay here again if ever in Manchester. Close to good restaurants, sites, and the railway. I stayed one evening and enjoyed being near anything I needed or wated to see. Excellent rates, a very comfortable room and bed.

Excellent Hotel, great location, easy to locate & drive to (NCP Car park opposite with discount from hotel). Booked this hotel when we went to see David Haye fight at MEN. We arrived on Firday afternoon, not really sure where we were going and found it by accident on main road down from Picadilly station into the main part of town, literally 2min walk from Pic station! Checked in with very nice woman at the desk and headed up to our room. Although my girlfriend struggled hugely with the card key in the door (not that […] there was anything wrong with it), we let ourselves into a beautiful double room. The ceilings were very high and the room was almost a sort of open plan appartment, with huge windows and even larger curtains. Bed was fantasticly comfy, nice linen and plenty of nice towels in the very spacious bathroom - in which the shower was fantastic. The room had a decent sized flat screen tv as well as a dvd player and promise of a handsome collection of DVDs if we asked for Oscar at reception. Alas we didn't but i'm sure Oscar would have been very happy to help had we done so! I can't recommend this hotel enough...beautiful rooms, and something a little bit different from your standard hotel room! Great location for canal street etc, and possibly the best hotel bed I have ever slept in...

Generally everything satisfactory except that the lift is not working when we stayed there for 3 days. Efficiency for repairing work is extremely slow and unacceptable. Bed is too high and a bit small for double bed though it's callled king size.

This was a lovely hotel easy to find with an NCP right opposite. Staff very helpful and friendly. Had a meal in the MC bar which was excellent. Did not have breakfast in the hotel but right next door there is a lovely bar/restaurant which was also excellent.

Abode was well situated, very central and only about 4 minutes from Piccadily train station. Nice architectural features, unfortunately the lift was out of order for a week, and as my husband is disabled, we were put on the first floor, as he can only cope with one flight of stairs. The room was tidy and clean, if slightly worn. The quirky bed cover […] might have been amusing when originally planned, but as it looked worn and bobbly, it would have looked better without it, but we are only talking aesthetics... The bed was huge! very comfortable and with plenty of pillows. Sufficient tea and coffee in room. Nice flat screen TV (if you like that sort of thing) DVD and CD player incorporated too. We slept well, and weren't disturbed. We declined to pay nearly £14 each for breakfast, as there is a Wetherspoons only a few doors away where it cost about £4...okay it probably wasn't as good, but I would rather save my money for a nice lunch or dinner. Plenty to see within walking distance and there are free city centre circuit buses to and from the near-bye train station, which is a boost for the less mobile...just hop on and off as you tour the city centre. The North quarter is great for arts, crafts and retro clothing, and is my favourite area, especially the craft and design centre for lovely contemporary jewellery. China town is a must, the bakery there is a great cheap place for a snack, especially the hot and sour soup and the crust custard and honey buns... Les mer

Me and my wife stayed here for just one night in June. We were so impressed with the hotel that we are returning next year for a city break for 5 days. The staff were knowledgable, the rooms were clean and extremely comfortable and the restaraunt next door was superb. Just wish we were there longer.

Personalen var mycket serviceminded och trevlig. Personliga unika rum. Nära till allt. Inte så dyrt. Hotellets restaurang i källaren, Michael Caines restaurant, supergod mat, men små portioner och bra service.

På hotellet finns Manchesters mest prisade restaurant; "Michael Caines Dining". Varning, det finns två! När vi ätit färdigt såg vi att vi gått på fel, den riktiga Michael Caines ligger i källaren! Men maten var OK även där vi åt, på restaurangen i gatuplanet:-) För övrigt så hade vi bara några få timmar på oss i stan. Några kvarter från hotellet hamnade […] vi i något som mest liknade Red Light District...på dagen är det glädjande med Metro Shuttles som tar dig runt i innerstan gratis! Les mer

Hotelli on sijainniltaan erinomaisessa paikassa. Palvelu oli avuliasta ja ystävällistä, joskin osa henkilökunnasta vaikutti nuorelta jan kokemattomalta. Huone (allergia) oli väljä, tyylikäs ja moderni. Jääkaappia olisin kaivannut. Aamiainen ei kuulunut huonen hintaan. Aamiainen oli mukiinmenevä ja yleisilme raikas, mutta suomalaisena kaipaisin tuoreita […] vihanneksia ja kananmunia eri tavoin valmistettuna seisovasta pöydästä, erikseen tilaamalla ja maksamalla kyllä mm. munakokkelia olisi ollut tarjolla. Alakerran fine dining -ravintolaan kannattaa pöytä varata hyvissä ajoin. Les mer

Hotellin sijainti on loistava, hinta/laatusuhde hyvä, huone oli iso, siisti ja hiljainen, sänky oli oikein mukava, henkilökunta mainiota, huonepalvelu nopea. Ainoastaan näkymä ikkunasta oli vähän kalsea, mutta eipä tuota ollut aikaa tuijotella.

This is a very nice hotel, with a good location and decent service. The restaurants are more then ok. Only parking is outside the hotel, across the street and they only give a very small discount on the parking ticket.

Jag är mycket nöjd med hotellet och dess möjligheter. Läget och standarden är det som lockar. Ett charmigt mindre hotell med individuella egenskaper på olika rum och i korridor. Klart man kan sakna storhotellens extravagans som bastu, pool och liknande. Dessutom kan det bli lite lyhört mellan rum/korridor samt utifrån men det får man räkna med i storstad. […] Bästa hotellet jag varit på i UK. Man saknar inte frukost utan gör mer rätt att äta ute på stan där det finns riktigt bra alternativ just runt knuten. Les mer

Otel Manchester'ın şehir merkezinde ve dolayısıyla ulaşımı ve otelden diğer yerlere ulaşım çok kolay. Otelin karşısındaki otopark ile anlaşarak indirim sağlaması da güzeldi. Otel temiz ve rahattı.
