Love staying at this hotel, rooms are adequate and comfortable, gym is first, food is always good and the beer cold. The staff always friendly.

I was visiting 3 x 90+ aunts and other relatives during my 2 night day stay. Both nights it was not till after 8:30pm that I got back to hotel and wished an evening meal. The first night I was early enough to get a vegetarian pasta dish- top marks to chef and most able and friendly girl who delivered it to my room.2nd night too late for deli choice […] but again a staff member went and made me a terrific vegetarian sandwich.So appreciative. I'm not a big fan of filter coffee in the morning but again for both breakfasts, staff just made a cappuchino. Very friendly, hospitable and professional staff. Les mer

You can't do better than the City Hotel in Armagh. Rooms are lovely with flat screens TVs in them. Restaurants are very good. The fitness center and pool are great extra amenities.

Our family had a one night stop over stay but we would have liked to have stayed longer. The hotel and it's staff were welcoming without being overbearing. The rooms were comfy, adequately spacious, very clean and fresh. We really enjoyed our breakfast and the choice was excellent. We enjoyed our stay although there were one or two niggles.... There was no air conditioning in our room and it was so stuffy that we had to have the window open overnight, meaning the noise of traffic was a bit of a hindrance to sleep. When we went to breakfast we were not initially told it was buffet style so sat like eejits for 5 mins until someone […] came and told us. Would also suggest breakfast staff keep a closer eye on ensuring there are juice glasses, butter etc. Apart from that, it was fab! Super comfy bed, great shower with plenty of hot water and power. We were lucky to be at the front of the hotel so could see the cathedrals. Would definitely stay again. Les mer

the time spent at this hotel was relaxning, enjoyable, and totally stress free. i would recommend it to any one who enjoys comfort, good services, quality entertainment, and friendly staff. i would stay there again for a short break or even longer stay because room, staff, service and check in and out times all great.

First time ever to stay in the hotel and it was a very positive experience. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed a beautiful breakfast with a good variety of both healthy options and traditional Irish breakfast. Highlt recommemded

The hotel was nice. It was a bit disconcerting and a reminder of how recent (2007) the guard towers and blockades have come down. All doors in the hotel (even closets) were marked as fire doors. There was an armed policeman in the lobby when we arrived. Nothing bad happened and the hotel staff were wonderful.

We used public transport and taxis and found all very satisfactory. It's a great place to imbibe history from earliest times (emain macha) to recent peace initiatives. Visiting historical sites and museums was enjoyable but this was balanced by meeting very friendly,helpful and interested people. Some of the tourist literature needs updating in regard […] to opening times but generally there is lots of helpful literature available and a free book entitled 'Border Heritage' is most excellent. my only complaint was that there were four of us in the room and only enough towels for 3 people..no shower caps either...out from that the staff were very friendly and the service was great...i felt safe and comfortable and will return again..well done Aarmagh City Hotel..

Overall it was adequate.the rooms need a little attention.. If you are advertising that your hotel has a swimming pool then it should be available to your guests at all times..it is quite misleading..especially as I only booked the hotel because of the pool.. Generally excellent. I had to return a pint of Guinness to the barman because it looked flat and dead , no head ! The Guinness company would be embarrassed to see such an offering.

We have stayed several times in the Armagh City Hotel and have always had a very pleasant time. The facilities are great, the staff pleasant and courteous and cleanliless comes second nature.

The hotel was clean comfortable and family friendly. It is based close to town but is also situated next to a historical area with beautiful scenery and walkways!! If i had anything to complain about it would b the lack of communication between reception and the LA Fitness facilities based on the basement floor. As a parent of a child with who is deaf […] with autism I need to be as prepared as possible for our day ahead. During our stay we were told we could swim at 10am and so prepared to swim we headed downstairs. After being signed in and in the changing area we were subsequently told that swimming lessons were on until 12pm and so we had to leave. This caused unnecessary upset for my child who didnt understand our change of plan!!! It is my opinion that such simple communication errors should not be occurring between services, in such an otherwise well run establishment!! Les mer

The hotel is nicely situated and satisfied all of our needs for the stay. The bartender Peter was especially nice and made us feel quite welcome.

The rooms are pretty boring, but the bar and restaurant are nice and the staff is great. It's very functional and has free wifi and satellite tv. Also really close to the city centre for sightseeing. Go to Uluru for dinner - great food!

Really good gotel, very friendly. I felt welcome tha staff were helpful and the food was cooked quickly and very well. The room was clean, tiday and comfortable.

I enjoyed my stay and the staff were friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to have had bath towels instead of the quite small towells provided. It would also have been nice to have had a piece of bath soap, I for one don't want to squeeze a tube to get my hair and body shampoo from a nameless and unidentifiable liquid. This was my first stay in this hotel. The hotel was easy to find and was very welcoming. The rooms were pleasant and comfortable. I really like the idea of the large foyer with the coffee shop, this is a lovely idea where you can sit in comfort and have a coffee or more. Overall our stay was good but was let down by our evening meal which was cold and […] had to be sent back, however this was rectified, but could so easily have been avoided. Les mer

Was located at front of hotel and was awake very early from passing traffic... would seek a room at back of hotel for next reservation... also access to leisure centre only from 15:00 - 17:00 hrs - as we checked in after 5 and checked out the next day at 12 it was of no benefit to us... disappointing!

Enjoyed my stay in the hotel! The staff were absolutely lovely, very friendly and helpful. The only let down in my opinion was the breakfast on the morning of departure!! Having previously dined in the restaurant and found it to be very good I was surprised at the lower quality of breakfast served by the hotel! However I would use this hotel again.

A very warm and friendly hotel serving very good food.

The hotel was standard however clean. The room walls are very thin and you can clearly here your nieghbours. The music is clearly heard from the bar and night club below until past 1pm. When staff questioned on this matter there was little care.
