Rodeway Inn & Suites Ft. Lauderdale Airport Cruise Port - Fort Lauderdale

Dette er et greit hotell for en overnatting før cruise. Gratis shuttle flyplass/cruisehavn. Vi hadde 4 netter, ligger for langt unna "alt", ikke noe i nabolaget. Hotellet forsåvidt greit nok, men air condition i veggen en meter fra sengen var plagsomt. Veldig dårlig luft på rommet, regner med det kom fra et vegg til vegg teppe som burde vært utskiftet […] for årevis siden. Konsertarena i nabolaget, en av nettene konsert der, umulig å sove, vanvittig høy og støyende musikk. Ellers hyggelig og grei betjening, og uteområde/basseng helt ok. Les mer

Stayed for one night prior to a cruise leaving out of Miami. Decent hotel with decent breakfast buffet - nothing fancy. Had an attached restaurant/bar that provided a late night snack/drink. Had free transportation from the Ft Lauderdale airport and free transportation to the Ft Lauderdale cruise port (which we did not use). We arrived at the Hotel at 10:30 pm, the entrance was very not your everyday lobby. It was definitely different at night, in the morning it was a different scene, very nice courtyard. In all it was okay for a quick overnight stay.

Nice hotel and the price was right. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The lady in the gift shop was very personable and the gentleman boarding the cruise shuttle bus was fun and innovative. Also the free internet was a big plus.

The Rodeway is tailor made for the Cruise Ship Passenger who needs to fly in to FLL the day before a cruise.The room was attractive and adequate. it was on the ground floor. A large restaurant was in the hotel. The rooms were noisie and old. The transportation was good to and from the airport and the port. The breakfast was just a regular breakfast like other hotels.

Our stay was really good. Overall the staff was very helpful...there are a couple of ladies that could use a little more customer service training though. Izzy was great, he made everyone feel very welcome. We stayed there pre-cruise and post cruise, we had no problems getting picked up from the airport or getting to the port. The system for picking […] up from the port was a little disorganized, they could work on that system a lot more. We will be taking more cruises in the future, we will stay at this hotel. Seems like most of the hotel guests were there for a short stay before their cruise. I was not going on a cruise but I was looking for a decent place for one night. The outside of the property was definitely a leftover from the old 70s motel architecture. Inside, it looks like the hotel made a good effort of updating the room. Do not expect a fancy […] hotel but the room was clean and comfortable for a one or two night stay. The continental breakfast was ok. The best part of this hotel was the shuttle service they offered. The shuttle would take us to the Airport or the Seaport for free. The trip to the Seaport was run like a military operation but I guess they had a lot of people to get on the cruise ships. For a few they would run you to wherever you wished to go. They would also take you to the train […] station for free which meant we could catch the train to Miami airport without paying about $80 for a taxi or about $75 for the schuttle to take us. Les mer

Place was quiet and clean and I did enjoy the jets in the large tub, very relaxing! Included breakfast was great and had a good selection of usual items (pastries and cereal, oatmeal, some fruit) plus waffles and hard boiled eggs, and the juice was great! Obky bummer was shuttle stops at 1230am so a taxi from airport cost ~$20 when I wasnt expecting […] that free ride. Les mer

Very decent, especially for the money spent. Saw a roach in the room. Not the end of the world. That happens. Internet was about nonexistent!! Why should that happen in 2013?? Overall, for the money, it wasn't a bad place to stay.

I wanted a clean, quiet, relaxed and convenient place to spend the night and I was pleased to find it all there at such a great rate. The staff were so pleasant and courteous, especially the young lady assisting guests in the breakfast lounge. I will definitely stay here again.

We stayed overnight prior to flight the next day. No power on TV; eventually power was turned on. Air conditioning was very noisy. Entrance door closes with a loud noise. We missed our flight due to delays at the cruise port and had to stay in FLL overnight. This hotel was inexpensive, close to the airport, and had shuttle service from the cruiseport and to the airport, so we thought we'd give it a chance. It was a PLEASANT surprise when we arrived. It has all the basic ammenities and the staff was available and helpful. […] The rooms are basic, but clean, as were the grounds. They also have public computers, continental breakfast, a shop that sells everything under the sun, and a restaurant onsite (although we tried the diner next door instead). The convenience for the price is outstanding. If you are looking for a 3 or 4 star hotel, don't stay here. But if you just need a place to lay your head for a night or two, it is more than suitable. This was a second year of staying at this hotel prior to our cruise. We felt that the hotel and ammenties were good. The front desk staff was excellent! The shuttle service was OK but as Izzy said it is still one of the few remaining hotels that offer complimentary shuttle service to both the airport and cruise pier. Don't go by all the negative reviews, it's an affordable hotel near port/airport. It's not the 4 Seasons but you probably not trying to pay 4 Seasos prices if you're reading this review..

We booked this hotel for a one night stay before a cruise. We found this hotel to be very friendly and accommodating. Great breakfast and timely shuttles to the cruiseport. We booked a night for another night before returning home and found everything we had before. Nice pool area also!! Would stay again!!

I had stayed at the neighbor hotels and this one by far was the best overall. Great front desk staff and apparently has a lot of activities that I wasn't able to uilize but I will go back and try some. The breakfast was welcome. free and actually good! Thank you

It was the least expensive and it was spring break, and I only needed a room for 3 hours before catching another flight after a flight delay. I guess it served the purposes, but I would not want to stay there much longer than 3 hours. People nice and reasonably clean, but old and a bit seedy.

The hotel is older and hasn't had the upkeep it should. The bathroom had white grout and looked like black mold was growing in the shower. The bed and furniture were fine, and appeared clean. The parking lot was filled with cars from people who were out on cruises and used the hotel parking lot for a fee.

Our stay was very good. The staff was very pleasant and knowledgeable. They did everything to make our stay very good. The restaurant had very good food. (Especially the lunch buffet. The transportation from the cruise port was timely.

First of all the hotel pick up service at the airport was terrible it they told me it would take 45 minutes to come get us and instead it took one hour and sixteen minutes. And when the shuttle driver came he did not stop at the pick up area he passed it up I had to call the hotel and inform him and the hotel had him come back to the airport and pick […] us up. Then once we got to the hotel the bathroom vent cover was off the vent where bugs was coming out of the vent I reported this to the front dest and requested to change rooms and instead one hour later the front dest sent the repairman to fix the vent cover. The hotel service at the Rodeway Inn was the worst service I have ever received in over the thirty five years that i have been staying in hotels. And to top it off the other couple who I traveled with the Rodeway Inn over booked and told them they had no more rooms so they put them up at the motel 6. The final disappointment was the Rodeway Inn pick up service from the hotel to the ship port it took so long to get us in a van until the hotel should just stop this service all together. I am a 53 year old male and I have never seen this kind of worst service in all of my life. Les mer

I called Hotels.com and they arranged for us to leave 2 cars at the hotel. The airport shuttle service was a little late taking us to the airport and it did take 40+ minutes to get picked up when we returned. Freddy at the front desk was very nice and helpful.

It's a motel set up but in the middle area theres a pool, benches and trees that make it look very nice. There's a gift shop in the lobby, free shuttle to and from the airport and free breakfast which is pretty good. The room was very quiet and it was very close to the cruise ships. It was easy to get to. The breakfast area needs to spread out so that you can get to the waffle stations though. Good value for the money.

Travelling with a large family (7 people) with very small children (a few months old and 2 years old), we didn't want to wait for a shuttle from the airport to the hotel that would never come. So, my husband made sure to call them and explain our situation to the hotel receptionnist. Despite that, the shuttle took more than AN HOUR AND A HALF to come […] and get us. Very disapointed, I talked to the receptionnist about that situation but he didn't even listen to me and clearly didn't care. The next morning, we had another flight and needed to take the same shuttle to the airport at about 7am. We asked if it was possible to grab some breakfast to go since it was included in the price of our room, but the doors to the buffet opened only at 7, which in my opinion, is pretty late for a hotel used primarily as a stop between flights! When I told the receptionnist that we had small children that would be hungry, she didn't care more than the first receptionnist and told me that it wouldn't be possible. I decided to go and ask politely to the buffet lady, but she didn't answer to my knocks on the door. Finally, since the shuttle was late (again!), we had the time to grab a few cheap muffins and some yogurts to go... Will never return to that cheap and so unprofessionnal hotel! Les mer

The only negative was the ear splitting racket in the dining areas.... especially as it 'leaked' out into the garden area. Mercifully it was over by 8 p.m. from the breakfast area. Coffee in the room much appreciated.

They obviously cater to the cruise crowd. I only needed a quick place to stay overnight before my cruise. We waited about 5 minutes at the airport for the shuttle to the hotel,check in was quick, the room was nothing special but very adequate...there was a nice continental breakfast the next morning and there was an individual who directed everyone […] onto a designated shuttle to their cruise afterwards. The lobby looks like a flee market liquer store. It's obviously a place that out of town contractors send their employees to stay. Drinking and smoking in the parking lot seems to be a major source of pleasure. The toilet had not been cleaned, the coffee pot had old grounds in it.
