15 MINUTES FROM THE RUINS - THIS HOTEL IS QUITE, COMFORTABLE AND WELL MANAGED. THE EMPLOYEES WERE HELPFUL AND ATTENTIVE. WE'D SAY AGAIN.

The hotel is new, clean and in a good, safe area for visiting the ruins which is probably the reason for most visits to Palenque. Ther is a large, locked open air parking area imediately adjacent to the hotel. The service at reception was good. Breakfast (not included in our deal) was excellent and reasonably priced. A very safe and clean place to stay while visiting the Ruins of Pelenque.The hotel is close to the bus station and the Colectivos that drive you to the Ruins. The staff are helpful. The restaurant was not very interesting in decoration or menu. I was not limited however, as there were other restaurants close by.

Nice, clean, good breakfast buffet. Basic but ideal for a day trip to Palneque. Located on a nice street Canada (with hotels and a few restraunts). 3 minutes walk to the bus station/center of the Palenqe. Super wide beds. I enjoed it very much.

The hotel is new and has everything you need. Our room had a fan and air conditioning. The room was spotless and the staff very helpful. Would stay here again when in Palenque.

We found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable, nicely located in the Canada district and an easy walk to the center of town, a less costly alternative to it's sister hotel Maya Tulipanes a block away. Staff was nice but with little English. Not a problem since they worked hard to understand what we wanted.

We stayed here four days and were very pleased with the size of the room, friendliness of the staff, and especially the location. We were within walking distance of downtown; there are about 5 restaurants on the same street as the hotel (currently they do not have one, but it is being added); and the largest attraction in the area, the Maya ruins, […] is about a 10 minute taxi ride and the rates are inexpensive. Hotel was very clean and modern. Staff were very friendly and helpful. After checking out at 12pm the staff let us stay to use pool facilities until our bus left at 9pm.

Good location with numerous restaurants around, however they were quite pricey. Nice pool and clean room however hotel would have been better if breakfast was included. Staff were friendly and helpful although they did not speak English.

Very nice hotel that is still expanding. Once they are done with construction this should be a great hotel to stay in when you are visiting Palenque. Staff was young and eager to make us feel special. Rooms were clean and comfortable. They had a great pool that was cozy, but the water was a bit too cloudy for my girlfriend to go in.

Great hotel overall with a good location in the Palenque-centro hotel area. Very nice clean rooms with AC and nice swimming pool. During our stay there was construction work going on a new building for the hotel, which by the way seems like it will be opened soon. In any case they were nice enough to tell us in advance about possible noise (which turned […] out to be very little and perfectly fine) and even offer a room in sister hotel next door Maya Tulipanes. The hotel has a swimming pool which really is lovely considering the hot and humid conditions in Palenque. The staff were lovely and always on hand. The rooms were very clean, with complimentary bottled water which was replenished daily. The air conditioning and fan a must but we couldn't get a minimum optimum at night time (either a bit too cold or […] if switched off, too stuffy). The hotel is in a street where most hotels are found, about 10 minutes walk from the bus terminal. It seems to be part of or has a business relationship with Hotel Maya Tulipanes, so they will refer you to this hotel for breakfast (they give you a 10% discount voucher) and meals. However, we didn't take up offer as we found it too expensive. Overall we found the hotel very satisfactory and a welcome relief after spending all day in such humid and hot conditions. Les mer

Very clean, sweet little hotel in Palenque's La Canada hotel district. Rooms are extremely clean, as is the pool and hotel grounds. The only drawbacks are no food or coffee on site, but that is easily overcome by visiting this hotel's sister property located very near by, or one of the excellent coffee shops also in the area.

The hotel was great, the service was excellant. It was over 90 degrees and they do not have an ice machine, so when we requested ice the staff would go to the other hotel nearby and bring it back. Now that is dedication !! They are adding to this hotel so it is under construction. However, the crews would not start until after 7 am, and end early in […] the afternoon, so no issues at all. Very good location amongst the trees with enough services for the short time we were there, 2 nights. AC was great for the humidity, restaurants were varied in the area and close to the collectivos to the ruins. Construction going on was not a nuisance as started after we were up and stopped before we returned. Clean room

A no-frills hotel for tourists visiting the Palenque ruins, Hotel Chablis is conveniently located in the La Cañada area. It is a 5-minute walk to La Cabeza Maya, where one can take the "colectivo" bus for 10 pesos to the Mayan ruins.

Hotel Chablis has been one of our favorite properties to date. It is great value for they money you pay: very clean, comfortable beds/towels and excellent and friendly staff. There was construction going on during our stay and the staff offered a room next door at their sister property instead. The noise was minimal and stopped by 4pm which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the pool and outdoor area. Great internet connection, cable TV with many English channels and hot water. Its set in a nice area under beautiful tall trees. We loved the peaceful setting, warm genuine service and access to all needed by just a short walk. Just a short walk away on the main road, we caught a local collectivo to Palenque for 10pesos each and Agua Azul for 30pesos. Les mer

Hotel Chablis provides an economical choice with excellent service. It's a very modern place located on La Cañada street. Our room faced another room, which made it very quiet. It has a comfortable bed (king size and not on concrete) with a very clean,but tiny bathroom. We were surprised at how hot and humid Palenque was in February, so the AC was a […] huge hit. It has a huge ceiba tree in the middle and the birds loved greeting each other in the morning. No roosters nearby. The pool was a little messy, because a nearby tree was shedding its leaves. Hotel Chablis is on La Cañada street that was built right in a jungle and has a variety of hotels and hostels nearby. There's great variety in the restaurants and are within easy walking distance (10 steps). We especially loved the cebiche de camaronnes (shrimp ceviche) at La Huachinango con Feliz (The Happy Red Snapper). The shrimp were large and fresh and they made it as I requested - without onions. We only stayed one evening but it was a pleasant experience ... We were short of hot water in some of our rooms but it was quickly attended to.... One night is not enough! It was nice to have a dip in the pool

Hotel is located in the green area of Palenque where several other hotels, cafes and restaurants are. the area is quiet and safe. THe hotel is nice, the employees are helpful and the rooms are clean. This is a great hotel, the rooms are clean, big and modern. I think all the rooms have a small balcony and a big tv. There is also a nice pool. For me the best hotel in Palenque but I can't compare with other hotels there.

The town doesnt have much on offer for tourists beyond a few restaurants, so dont worry that you're a little out of town in the hotel zone. The only thing you're there to see is the ruins anyway. The hotel was clean and tidy. If you cant carry your own bags up two flights of stairs, request a bottom level room as there's no bell boy. There is construction […] next door but it didnt cause us any trouble. In fact it was quite interesting to watch how things are done in Mexico. Be carefull which restaurants you choose in the hotel zone. some of them are a bit average. Les mer

The room is O.K.,big and clean;Walk about 10-mins to bus-station or walk on the main road in a few mins,catch up the transports(mini-bus) to ruin easily. A small pool but the staff is very helpful and friendly since most of them can't speak English!!

Excellent hotel, especially for the 'outback' of Mexico. The only issue was some morning construction noise nearby (nothing the hotel can do about that!). First - we stayed out of season. Nice area, the hotell had excellente service. Because out of season the pool wasn't always cleared for leaves and the jacuzzi wasn't turned on. As soon as we showed an interest for it, they turned the system on for us. Big rooms, good aircondition - two alternatives, one noisy but extremely efficient one and a fan in […] the ceiling for night time. Room had a nice but small balcony, the distance to the centre was easily within walking distance, taxis and tour operators new the hotel so easy to be picked up, and it was more or less on the route to the ruins. I picked the hotel following reviews on trip advisor. I was able to walk there from the bus station with my bags. Thet room (104) was large with 2 double beds, cable tv. Large hot shower but small bathroom. There was air con and a fan. The air con was so loud I couldn't use it and sleep. I could also hear next doors air con in the night but other guests […] told me there's was not a problem There was a pool which is mainly in the shade and could do with a clean. I spent an hour 1 afternoon taking leaves out of it. Across the road is a great bar and restaurant. Fantastic garlic prawns and ceviche.the margarita was also good and reasonably priced. I ate here a lot. You can get a collectivo to the ruins from the roundabout a couple of mins from the hotel. Because of the reasonable price for what you get I would recommend staying here. Les mer

We were only here for a night and two days to see the ruins, but really was impressed with this hotel. When we got back from the ruins we hung out by the pool and just relaxed, it was lovely. The hotel is a short walk to Palenque township which we found safe to wonder around any time of the day/night. The room was spacious and clean with a nice bathroom […] and balcony. The following day we were catching a bus out of Palenque at 5pm and the staff allowed us to chill out by the pool reading before we made our way to the bus station. Really had a lovely time here. If you plan to spend most of your day out visiting the ruins and come back for a hot shower and a good bed, this hotel will fit the bill! No frills, basic and older hotel, safe enclosed parking if you travel by car. Friendly staff

The rooms are large and clean and surprisingly quiet, given it's location next to the highway. It is very close to the ADO first class bus terminal. Breakfast was not paricularly healthy but substantial. The lack of the advertised hotel-airport shuttle means you have to take a taxi, adding MX$150 or more to your bill. The concierge tried to add MX$50 […] to the fare as a cash kickback from the driver in addition to his normal kickback, which irritated me. Les mer

We were in Palenque 3 years ago and that time stayed out by the ruins. We much prefer this hotel-such a quiet, lush, green neighborhood and the Zocalo is just a 10 minute walk away. They are in the midst of refreshing the property-fresh paint, a new dip-pool, etc. Not much English spoken. But the staff is very helpful. Would stay here again
