"The Black Bear Inn Bolton Valley VT-great location"
I recently stayed at the Black Bear Inn and had a wonderful stay. My stay was brief, but the service was great. I arrived late, snow on the ground, christmas lights on outside. The inn was nestled in a perfect spot inn the woods, fireplace still slowly burning, christmas tree lit and night light on the desk with a note and my room key. It was a perfect […] beginning to my stay. The owners very warm and friendly, the food delicious. The Inn was very close to Burlington and Waterbury (2 places I visited while there). I would definately recommend the Black Bear Inn and plan to visit there again after the holidays. Les mer

Very enjoyable stay. Inn owners very friendly and accommodating. The room was very cozy and interesting, not a typical "cookie cutter" room found in chain inns and it was very clean. The only drawback was the distance to attractions as the inn is near the top of a hill. Perfect for skiers as it is near the ski lifts. Fabulous view of the mountains and […] trees. Les mer

"comfortable, quaint, unique"
Our room was great, the inn is comfortable, quaint and unique, so much more inviting than a chain. We are planning to return soon.

"Black Bear Inn"
We did not think that we needed to confirm that there was a window in our room. There was NONE. A skylight was the only natural light in the room. When I mentioned it to the hotel personnel, I was told that it was clearly described on the internet site. No other rooms were available. Since the entire two night charge was assessed on our account, we […] could not change rooms or hotels. I was not comfortable staying in a box with no window. If a storm, fire, some other disaster happened, we would not have been able to exit our room. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Les mer
"Black Bear Inn"
We really enjoyed it. The inn keepers were very nice. The breakfeast was wonderful, very cozy eating area. We enjoyed watching the birds. It is about a 20 minute drive to Burlington, but it is worth it. We would go again.

Quaint, clean and guiet. Will Stay at Black Bear again. Breakfast was delicious.
This is a delightful little place. The breakfast was delicious with a choice of either eggs or pancake/french toast. The inn feels a bit more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. It is a little out of the way, about 5 miles up a windy mountain but quiet and lots of fresh air. The pool was clean and pleasant too.

We arrived and checked ourselves in,, very trustworthy owners. The rooms are small but very New England stylish. The food is wonderful and the attention to detail was very high. Be sure to check out their driving tours. We did a few of them and they were excellent, easy to follow and accurate. hope to go back again soon.

This place is quaint and cozy with a sense of history about it yet keeping up with times. The lounge had wonderfully helpful and interesting books and magazines. Although we missed it, it is supposed to have a lovely unobstructed view of the sunset. Breakfast was delicious and service very friendly. We were especially impressed by, and appreciative […] of, the fact that this B&B is now listed as being totally Green and we hope that other establishments will follow this very progressive trend. We're so glad we came and hope to be back and certainly recommend this place to anyone who wants to be with nature as well as comfort in a place run by a family not a corporation. Les mer

"Quiet, Great Location, Comfortable"
Small rooms, bathroom had no counter space, great hiking trails on location, beautiful scenery, great breakfast, no front desk- had to call for staff when needed.

I went here for the weekend with my GF, the staff was incredible, service was excellent, ready to tend to every need, rooms were very comfortable and homey, felt like I was staying at a reletives house more then a hotel. Cant wait to go back
