We booked the "one room left" and when we pulled in at 7 -7:30 in the evening the lot was EMPTY. In the morning as we were leaving, two hours early, still no cars in the parking lot. I don't believe we got the "last room" . And the rate was OUTRAGEOUS compared to what we got in Oregon the next day. No carpet of any kind in the whole room including bathroom. […] The rooms were totally different categories; not what we thought when we booked them, but what they ended up being were two TOTALLY different room conditions, bed condition, VIEW, and PRICE. That is OUR take on it and for this we won't return. Les mer

I have no complaints, but the pictures on the internet and the actual room are two different things. Way smaller than the pictures. The gal at the front desk told me she was giving me a free upgrade to a room with a fireplace. I was so excited until I entered the room and found out it was an electrical fireplace that took me 10 minutes to figure out […] because buttons weren't labeled. Other than that, it was a very clean room and close to restaurants. Les mer

Room was very comfortable. Older property, well maintained, easy to find on Highway 1 as you're coming in to town. Not much within walking distance, but a pleasant place to stay.

My wife and I stayed here for one night. We were deciding between this and one of the lower cost national chains. Based on the hotels.com website and the website of the place, it looked like this one was nicer and worth paying an extra $30-$40 per night. It wasn't really. The room was a little nicer than maybe you would expect from a budget hotel, but […] the walls were super thin. We could basically hear the TV, muffled conversations and footsteps of the people next door (early in the morning). The hot tub and porch area was nice, just not $30-$40 more per night kind of nice. Maybe if we'd stayed there longer, used some of the spa services, enjoyed the picnic area and porch a bit more it would have seemed worth it. From now on, if we're just looking for somewhere to stay for the night, I'm going with the lowest price for a bed and bathroom. Les mer

Older Hotel, not really for Handicap access, My father hard time to step up and down step entry to door. Heaters old but work. beds comfortable, rooms dark, vending machine across parking lot. Last minute stay , no vacancy down town.

The room was fine but not what we expected. We checked out their website before booking and it 'appeared' that the king bed rooms all had spa tubs and were spacious in size. This was not the case. The room was alright but the bed took up almost all the space when you added the dresser and desk. It was clean and pleasant but we were disappointed that […] there was nothing included for the price. No continental breakfast, limited space to relax and only one ice machine for the entire place. Considering you have no ocean view, it seemed a bit pricey to us. Les mer

OK as a place to sleep, but not to hang-out. The spa looks like a joke, but we didn't actually use it. While not terrible, it was nothing like the pictures. Just an old motel, and just adequate.

seemed from online description to be on or near the beach.not even close.hard to find someone to check us in or help w/directions. went to use the hot tub had to lift off the cover ourselves and found cigarette butts under cover. generally shabby

The worst inn I ever stayed in. Urine spots on toilet seat not cleaned even after pointing out Constant smell of sewerage from the room. Dirty sheets not replaced for 2 days. No one at the front desk for hours.

The staff was delightful. Unfortunately the quality of the hotel did not fit the price. The door passes had to be rekeyed several times. Three occupants ended up with only one key. The controls for the television had to be reprogramed 3-5 times per day. The facility was being powerwashed both days so any day time reading outside of our room was impossible. […] I was very embarrassed and disapointed as this stay was for my mother's 87th birthday. The hotels.com representative told us over the phone that this hotel and our room had ocean views. When we arrived to see that this wasn't the case at all, we were quite disappointed. However, what we found was a lovely experience that we probably wouldn't have had otherwise. The owner of the hotel was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and kind. She […] made us tea when we got back at night and made sure we were having a nice stay. The bed and sheets were very comfortable. The room was clean. A fireplace in our room/ as well as jacuzzi. Short drive to ocean/State Park/ downtown area. We were only there for a short stay but it was very pleasant. There's a little restaurant with health food/ph balanced foods that we will definitely try if we ever return to Fort Bragg. Les mer

From the other reviews I thought I'd booked a dog. But the motel is fine. All the basics are provided appropriately at a reasonable rate.

rooms were not as advertized. one roll of toilet paper, one waste basket. the shower stopped working. the beds are not all pillow top. in our room the did not exist. the lady that ran the place was nice. but in all fairness, all the hotels are basically i the same catagory, in this area Fort Bragg
