Anmeldt av en hotels.com-gjest den aug 5, 2012The hotel is located within walking distance of Pitts and Carnegie Mellon, in a fairly quiet residential area but with easy access to both Oakland sights and a main road to the city centre (Blvd of the Allies). A very nice bakery is located in the same building. My room was clean and spacious and the staff was generally welcoming, easy-going and helpful. In particular, I received a considerable amount of assistance on a delivery to the hotel - something for which I am personally grateful.

We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Our grandaughter was turning 1 so we wanted to have a little party for her and her mom and dad. This was great because we were visiting from out of town and unfamilar with the area. They allowed us to use the beautiful dining area to have food brought in so that we would not have to drag a baby to […] a resturant. The hotel was spotless clean and in fact they were cleaning the carpet just hours before our family came to visit. The breakfast was a real breakfast and was most enjoyable to sit in fron of the fire place to just relax while we ate. "A nice place to stay"

"Clean, comfortable, adequate"
The staff was very pleasant and helpful and the hotel has all the usual conveniences plus a half-sized fridge and a microwave, which is nice.. The rooms are small and it's difficult to walk around if you actually use the pull-out sofa. The TV is positioned so it looks as if it's visible from either the bed or the sofa, which means it's not fully visible […] from either. Breakfast was far below expectations - eggs were made with ham and cheese, and the cheese was congealed into clumps. Sausage was served in a corn-dog style configuration with a pancake, instead of by itself. We were very impressed with the hotel and with the friendly, helpful hotel staff. The buffet breakfast was very good, as well. This hotel is located right next to a very large shopping mall with lots of retailers in the surrounding neighborhood.
