Alius Hotel - Roma

Enkelt og kjekt hotell med gangavstand til det aller meste- selv med en 11-åring på slep! Koselig og hjelpsom betjening!

Misvisende bilder i hotellpresentasjonen- den vakre bakgården fra presentasjonen ble vi jaget bort fra, den var ikke for hotellets gjester. Ingen sjarm, men hyggelige og grei betjening. Så kom vi heller ikke til Roma for å sitte på hotellrommet.

Disse folka har fått mye ut av liten plass. Det ser ganske fint ut på bildene av hotellet, og det ser faktisk likt ut i virkeligheten, men når du ser konteksten blir inntrykket likevel ganske annerledes. Det tok omtrent 5 minutter å gå fra Termini til hotellet, sånn sett en god beliggenhet om du skal reise med tog. Når jeg oppgir at jeg ville anbefalt […] dette hotellet, så er det kun i tilfelle hvor du trenger en seng for en natt eller to. For å sove og spise frokost var det helt greit, men du bor ikke her 2 uker av ferien din. Les mer

Hotellet ligger kjempe sentralt. Vi trengte ikke å ta noe offentlig transport eller taxi. Så lenge man orker å gå litt, klarer man fint å komme seg til de fleste severdighetene, bortsett fra til Vatikanet som ligger litt lenger unna. Bra shopping i området.

Hotellet ligger mitt i sentrum- gå avstand til det fleste. Hotellet var rent og betjeningen veldig service minded

This was an OK hotel. It was very easy to find from the hotel. I arrived alone (girl) at termini with the latest train from the airport. There where some "hobos" but they did not bother me, and the area felt very safe. The hotel is located in 3rd floor, has few rooms and I think it is one of the hotels Ive been too that are the safest. Not many people […] at the reception, but one was always present and they also spoke good english and they were very helpful and even called around to find me the best suitable bus for where I was going. The rooms were small, and the beds hard,but for beeing in rome to se the history and not stay indoor at the room it was more than good enoug! The breakfast was very "italian" -sweet, but tastfull and the cofeemaschine made the most delishios cofee:D all in all I can recomend this hotel to singel travlers (girls). It is a safe choise, and you have all the histoical sites in walking distance. and 50m to the metro to take you to the vatican. very comftable! Les mer

Location and service of the staff was great but the hotel facility was horrible. Hotel is in the 3rd floor of a multi-hotel complex. In the ground floor there's reception area but the lady there is horrible. It was raining so I was waiting for my husband to bring the umbrellas from the room and the lady at the reception insisted I couldnt wait by the […] door, I had to go up to the 3rd floor by my hotel or stay outside by the street under the rain. She was flat out rude. The hotel room was very small and noisy. The decorations were from the early 80's and to get Internet you had to go to the breakfast area. Breakfast was very limited and you had to cross the breakfast area to get to the rooms. I will NOT be staying here again. Les mer

Alius Hotel was terrific value for money given the price of most Rome accommodation. Located just a 2min walk from a metro station, it was easy to get around Rome. It was also just a 10minute walk to Termani station which made it easy to get to/from the airports. If you are feeling fit then its a 30min walk (up and down a few hills!) to the spanish […] steps/most tourist attractions. The staff were helpful and the room clean. would recommend this hotel to friends as it was terrific value for money in an expensive city! Les mer

The hotel was a little confusing to find at first but once we found it we really enjoyed the location. It is only a few blocks from the Main Train Station and around a mile from the major attractions (Colosseum, Parthenon). The amenities were adequate, Breakfast was included small but enough. This hotel is very basic. It has a great location for visiting the historical sites. If you just want a quiet place to sleep with no amenities, this is it. The main floor elevator is locked. You must go up to the 3rd floor to get the key, or carry your luggage up four flights of stairs.

good location, rooms are clean but very bare. lift did not work half the time, hot water did not work. would not recomened.

Noise at night on street - worse than any ever. Bed mattress must be WW II surplus -your back will kill you. Breakfast: thinnest slice of salami ever. Bathroom: Plumbing smells. Temperature: Too hot and stuffy unless window is open and at night too noisey if window is open. We paid $big per night with Hotels.com and the hotel added a per person per […] night room tax. Three loong stories up, elevator under lock and key, first time up a killer. I'll sleep in the street before I go back to the Alius. Les mer

I stayed here in May 2011. It's located on the 3rd floor of a building that is very close to the Republic stop and walking distance to the Termini station. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean. You had a safe in your room which was nice. we never really used Taxi's we just walked to all the sites except for the colloseum and the Vatican […] but used metro for both. If you can't or don't want to walk alot to go to the trevi fountain/pantheon area which also has a lot of restaurants and other attractions and nice at night you can take one of the buses. You can get a ticket from the bus or a tobacco store. Overall not fancy but safe, convenient, clean. Les mer

The hotel location is perfect in terms of being only 10 min walk from Termini station. Also its 10 min walk from Pizza Venizzia. If your looking to walk around all day and see all the important sites...this is a good location. The hotel is on the 3rd floor of a typical old Rome building. If you open the window there is alot of street noise from Via […] Nazionale. But that is it if you want to be in the downtown area. The room was very small. The bed was nice and two people could easily sleep on it. The whole hotel is like a big apartment with several rooms and then you all eat breakfast in a small living room. The breakfast was Ok. it will fill you up but dont expect any hot dishes...only milk, orange juice and coffee. some low quality bread, cheese,... I had a fridge in my room which was a plus. Make sure you get the elevator access key upon arrival so you dont need to haul your luggages 3 floors. Free wireless internet access was available which was a plus. The staff were friendly and helped out when they could. In general, I would recommend this hotel to those who are spending their days outside and are just looking for some place to sleep. Otherwise you need to pay much more or go far away from down town. Les mer

Central location close to metro and termini station. Staff is very very helpful. Okay breakfast. Its located on a noisy street.

The location of this hotel is in a really good spot... about a 5 minute walk to the metro if that...and about 15 minutes from the bus station. There is several places to eat around the hotel and there are a several shops for little things if you forgot batteries or a toothbrush. If you are interested in taking one of the bus tours ( don't do green line, […] people had lots of problems) it really close to where you can get them all. However if you are looking for plush or super comfortable this is not the place. The bed was a bit wobbly and they pushed two twins together to make it a full so if you are going with a partner it might make for some uncomfortable cuddling. The bathroom was pretty cool, however there is trick to the toilet in order to get it to flush... The wi-fi didn't work from my room so I had to go out into the "lobby" to use it. Breakfast was typical European, with bread and cereal. Some of the staff aren't too comfortable with english so you might have some issues trying to ask questions...but that only about half of the folks working...The hotel is also just a floor too, situated in building of a couple of other hotels..so you got to look hard for it... overall though it's a good place for the price...I wouldn't pay top dollar though... but it was more than what you might get with other "hotels"... We were pleasantly surprised just how close to everything this hotel was. We walked to all the major attractions (Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Colosseum etc.) The Vatican was just a short bus ride away (bus stop just own the street). We would definitely stay here again.

The staff were superb, it was a great location for sightseeing with republica station no more than a 2 minute walk away.

This hotel is a little difficult to find, the lift broke down a couple of times and we had to use the stairs to the 3rd floor. Is more for young people looking for a place to crash whilst sightseeing in Rome on a budget. No windows in the eating area which is quite crowded and not enough seats for all guests in the morning. The breakfast is not worth […] having just get coffee and go to the ESPAR down the street, The staff were most helpful and pleasant. If leaving you bag on the last day there is no room to shower or toilet you can use if you have a late onward journey. Les mer

we stayed at a room for 4 peaple. Bed room and bathroom were both clean and comfortable. the reception staff was kind and friendly.

Foaje plan 1 tillhör ej hotellet. Fick ej ha väskorna där ca 2min.

Hotelli sijaitsee erittäin keskeisellä paikalla, kävelymatkan päässä monista nähtävyyksistä. Hotellin löytäminen tuotti tuloiltana ongelmia, sillä se sijaitsee 3. kerroksessa taloa, jossa on muitakin hotelleja ja toimistotiloja. Ulkopuolella on vain pieni laatta, jossa lukee hotellin nimi. Itse hotelli on pieni ja mielestämme sopiva muutaman päivän […] majoittumista varten. Aamupala kuuluu hintaan ja sekin oli riittävä ja monipuolinen verrattuna moniin pieniin hotelleihin. Huoneet siivottiin joka päivä ja henkilökunta oli ystävällistä. Kaiken kaikkiaan olimme tyytyväisiä valintaamme. Les mer

Vlakbij Centraal Station en op loopafstand van Colosseum, Trevi fontein enz enz. Zelfs Vaticaanstad is te lopen maar kan je beter met metro of hop on/hop off bus doen.

central de todos los sitios turisticos ademas de la estacion de tren. un sitio normal para dormir bien desayunar y salir a conocer Roma.

L'hôtel est vieux et humide (moisissures dans la salle de bain). Le confort est sommaire mais en accord avec le prix des chambres. Le quartier est bruyant et les chambres très mal isolées. Le petit déjeuner est correct. Il est cependant plutôt pas trop mal situé entre la gare termini et le centre historique. On s'en contente pour un week end pas cher […] mais a éviter pour un week end détente ou romantique. Les mer

Hôtel très bien situé, chambre petite mais agréable. juste une odeur d'égout dans la salle de bain assez désagréable. En revanche, l'accueil fut sympathique, le petit déjeuner bon et copieux. Très bon stop pour pouvoir visiter Rome en toute tranquillité.

Bon acceuil (attention, l'ascenseur ne marche qu'avec une clef, du coup, quand on arrive, on doit monter les 3 étages à pied!). La chambre et sdb propres, hotel bien situé. Petit déjeuner. Pour quelques nuits, c'est l'idéal.

Mycket prisvärt hotell med bra läge och trevlig personal. Rummen är enkla men har allt det man behöver. Frukosten är ínte märkvärdig men ändå godkänd för att vara italiensk. Personalen var mycket tillmötesgående och trevlig och jag kan absolut rekommendera hotellet till den som inte förväntar sig lyx , men ett bra boende till en rimlig kostnad.
