Jeg var her i nesten to uker. Har hatt et meget bra opphold. Hotellet har basseng og tilknytning til et av Delhis største kjøpesenter. Ulempen var at hotellet ikke har wifi i rommene, men kun i lobbyen og det var ikke gratis heller. Opplevde hotellets service ikke var helt på topp.

I stayed there before, and find it a good place to stay if you want to se Old Delhi just outside your doorstep. Friendly staff, nice clean rooms and good service! If I come back to Delhi I would definitely stay there again!

I love this place. This was my third visit in three years. The place is the same as ever - great. The spacious clean rooms are wonderful, as are the staff, even if you are checking in at 1AM!

"Great hotel, BAD neighborhood"
Tara Palace is a very clean, well maintained hotel and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. However, it is an oasis in the middle of a very shady neighborhood. It is located down a narrow alley off a bigger road, across from a garbage compound. I went with my boyfriend, who is 6 feet tall and a well built personal trainer, and even he didn't […] feel comfortable walking around the immediate surroundings. "A budget hotel - central in Old Delhi"
Despite being a budget hotel, I had a good relaxing time at the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The surrounding was typical Old Delhi, near a loud noisy market but it has easy access to several attractions in Delhi.
"Cheap ok hotel"
The rooms was ok, the meal was ok, the free wifi(lobby only) was a nice surprise. We liked it for one night, dont think we would stay a week or even a weekend at this place, but for one night stop, its great.
Hotel was nice and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful and made their best. When you arrive 1.st time the entrance street may upset you. After couple of days you get used to it.

If you've never been to India before and this is your first time, you may want to consider something closer to the more touristic area and visit Old Delhi versus stay there. "An oasis in the desert!"
The hotel is located in an alley full of street vendors etc and it is kind of scary, but once you walk in to the hotel, it is a completely different atmosphere. The staff is very helpful, great food (fairly priced too), and clean rooms! What more to expect for such a price! Unless you're in search of opulent luxury, this is about as good as it gets. Staff -- particularly the front desk -- are very helpful. Place is very clean and comfortable. The bed was very very firm. The hardest I slept on in three weeks in Nepal and India. Note that free airport pickup does not mean free airport dropoff. The hot water did not work in the morning.

This is a great hotel to stay in if you WANT TO BE in Old Delhi given its central location and great roof top views. Staff speak great English and are extremely helpful. Room cleaning is not a given and does need to be asked for. Also adjoining travel agent needs to be bartered with. check going rates for cars to Agra as we paid too much for a driver […] who feel asleep at lunch time when we were in the Taj and couldn't be located for an hour. Only trouble with the location is getting a taxi to airport. Only Richshaws within several km distance. the hotel will however get you a taxi, but the price is 700 rps. Tara palace is a fine place to stay. The room was very clean and that is one of my primary concerns. Plus they provide free water and breakfast which is huge. Otherwise it was pretty regular.

"Clean n comfortable"
Taara Palace was clean, neat and comfortable to stay in. Food was tasty too. Dont listen to taxi walas who will try to make you stay elsewhere for comission. Also while you are visiting embassy area in Chanakyapuri, dont park your travels car on the road. I had to pay 400 as fine, bcos the driver parked the car on the road.

This hotel is everything that i had expected and more. It is in the middle of Old Delhi which is very much of an eye opener. We knew what to expect because we had read the reviews. We arrived late evening from Goa and were collected from the airport by staff. The driver reassured us that the hotel was big and busy - i got the impression that some people […] had been surprised by the hotel's location - it really is down an alleyway. Once inside the hotel is very nice and clean and much bigger than expected. The room was quite large and clean. The bathroom was also clean and a bit basic but very adequate - hot water always available. They also had 24 hour restaurant and as we had arrived late evening by the time we had sorted out it was too late to go out so we eat in the restaurant. It is vegaetarian only but very good - i was surprised how nice it was actually. The breakfast was also excellent. We were able to change money in the hotel and the staff did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. We were only there for 3 nights but if i ever had to go to Old Delhi again i would definatley stay here. It is fantastic value for money. Thank you to all at the Tara Palace. Les mer

Everything was better than expected. Hotel staff were very attentive to our wishes. Once you get used to going 50 meters through an alley in the Old Cycle Market you quickly appreciate the location. 15 minutes by foot to the closest metro station in front of the Old Delhi Train Station. The hotel is located just a 10 minute walk from the historic Red Fort which is definitely worth a visit. The Tara Palace do everything they can to make your stay comfortable, even to the point of helping new foreign visitors avoid the local ripoffs. This is about the only place I like to call home when passing through Delhi. The hassle of the long ride to and from the airport is well worth it.

Have stayed at Hotel Tara Palace several times before. What keeps bringing me back is the quality of the hotel and its services - all top notch. Rooms are basic but spotlessly clean, hot water is plentiful (rare for budget hotels in India), staff is eager to assist in any way possible. Chandni Chowk area is very congested and the hotel can be a bit […] hard to find, but if you're into bargain shopping, this area can't be beat. Red Fort and several Hindu Temples are within walking distance. Complimentary Continental breakfast was a plus. Don't let other reviews scare you about the area. The staff was rude and everytime I asked for help with cab, tour, hiring a car, etc. they tried to overcharge me. BEWARE if you ask them to order a cab for the airport they will charge you (and it is more than double the original fare) even if you decide […] to cancel the cab. If you refuse to pay they will hold your other arrangements you made until you pay them. This happened to me and I was very frustrated and felt trapped. In addition, there is no hot water unless you call down and complain that they turn the boilers on. This happened every night I stayed there. The staff was very rude and hard to deal with as well. Until and […] unless you have traveled in Old Delhi, you don't know how important a clean room and washroom/toilet is. The LIFE in Delhi is in Old Delhi. New Delhi is equally unkempt, but filled with sterile buildings of no interest. Stay in Old Delhi, 2 blocks from the Red Fort (don't miss it) and in the middle of the markets. Get up early, walk very late. This is where the excitement, liveliness, and wonder of the city lies. And Tara Hotel is the ONLY choice for a decent hotel in the neighborhood. Remember, it's your haven when you need a quiet, cool, break. Oh - beds. Be prepared for hard mattresses here and in most of Asia. Very good for your back. So settle in and enjoy. Les mer

The Tara Palace is a great little hotel! the staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and large, and the food is good. The airport pick-up worked flawlessly, which was great since we arrive at 8PM. The location is in the middle of Old Delhi which can be intimidating for newcomers. But walked by myself as late as 10PM and had no trouble at […] all. It is only blocks from the Chandni Chowk market, a classic old-style Delhi market full of wonderful surprises down the many side alleys. It is THE place to bu a sari if you are looking and is awesome to walk around. The Red Fort is also just a few blocks away and is a must-see. If you stay here, be sure and check out the roof. It is a great place to check out another view of the city and the hotel staff will bring you tea or even your whole meal up here. Next time in Delhi and am staying here again. This is my hotel of choice for Chandni Chowk area of Delhi, making it my 4th stay altogether. The rooms are spotlessly clean, the area shopping is top notch for bargain hunting and most attractions are only a short ride away. This is the first time that there has been no pressure to use its tour services. The hotel is difficult to find late at night […] so make sure that your driver is familiar with the area and is willing to take you there despite the small crowded streets. Hotel très bien et très propre dans le quartier de Old Delhi. Proche des sites touristiques de ce quartier (Fort Rouge, Mosquée, Chandni Chowk...) Clim et eau chaude. Par contre il est vrai que le quartier et la rue qui mène a l'hotel laisse vraiment à désirer et ne donnent […] pas envie d'y aller car c'est au fond d'une impasse . Mais c'est un très bon hotel pour quand on est de passage à Delhi et que l'on a peu de temps pour visiter! Je le recommande vivement. good hotel very close to the fort and the markets. The view from the roof terrace is excellent, but you are in the middle of old Dehli. The place is very sure and clean but the area is pretty dirty.

Ce que j aimais moins : Hotel sans âme --> murs blancs, pas vraiment de deco particuliere. La chambre (draps, etc...) tout a fait propre !!! Pas d'eau chaude par contre […] :/ Heureusement que l'on etait en periode des moussons ou le climat est particulierement lourd et donc l eau froide est suffisante ! L Hotel est situé dans une minuscule rue qui semble un peu malfamee MAIS tout compte fait, aucun probleme !!! Elle est juste petite et etroite ce qui nous laisse avoir des prejugés negatifs qui n'en sont en fait rien ! Les habitants sont sympas et il y a toujours un "garde" devant l hotel. Le quartier autour est pauvre (old delhi) mais on sy sent bien car c est le vieux marcher. Je recommande cet hotel. Pour nous, il nous a permis de nous y sentir bien des notre arrivee pourtant nocturne. L Inde est deja suffisemment un choc culturel quand on arrive qu il est agreable de dormir dans de bons draps au calme. SERVICE D AEROPORT IMPECCABLE !
