"Bare bones stay close to Killington skiing"
Stayed here for one night with a family group. While the location is extremely close to Killington and Pico mountains there were really no other redeeming qualities for this motel. The woman I dealt with upon check in was rude and curt although the man who checked me out was very nice and I wish he had been the one doing check in as it would have created […] a much better first impression of the place. Our room was basic and fine for one night. There is a kitchenette but if you are planning to use it be prepared to bring your own plates, utensils, etc. as there was not a single item in the cupboards. Although there was a complimentary breaksfast included in our stay we did not take advantage. The breakfast room was dark and depressing and we were happy to pay for a pleasant meal in a local restaurant instead. The parking situation is also a little tricky. If the motel is full it seems like there is not enough parking as several cars were parked during our stay off the side of the drive/road or blocking parked cars in the lot. Also, the hotel is on a steep hill and the side road could use better snow clearing/salting/sanding. It was pretty slippery while we were there and I imagine cars without great ice and snow handling might have a hard time getting into and out of the parking lots. All in all, I am glad we were only there for one night. I will definitely pick any other option the next time we are in Killington even if I have to pay double for the same basic room. Les mer

I booked this place trying to save a buck and in the end, you're better paying a few extra bucks for a better place. Our first room smelled like vomit - so bad that we couldn't bare to be in there more than 5 minutes. Luckily they changed it for us but overall, the quality of the rooms was really lacking. Beds were uncomfortable, linens were thin (and […] no control over heat so was cold to sleep in) - dead fly on the windowsill, TV had lines going across the top, breakfast was pretty poor even for continental. I know you get what you pay for but I have stayed at other cheap motels and had a much more pleasant experience. Les mer
"Best motel for the price"
Stayed here in the first week of Feb 2012. This motel has been recently renovated. Room has all the amenities of a typical motel and is maintained well too. Very clean, nice beds, nice sheets towels etc. Location is really good.. a 3 min ride to Ramshead.. Real steal at the prices they are offering.

They staff and rooms were great. Only thing was that the doors were very hard to get into. Very tricky to get to work.

My friend and I stayed at the Hillside Inn for a weekend of skiing at Killington, and the hotel could not have been better! "Killington in close to the slopes"
We had a great time staying here no problem with getting to the slopes, beds weren't bad room was clean only complaint would if the shower was a little bigger and the rest room had a fan other wise perfect.
You get what you pay for.

This was conveniently located only 10 minutes drive from the main base lodge at Killington. Not a luxury hotel, but the room was clean, the (analog) TV worked fine and so did the wireless internet. There was even a mini kitchenette (fridge and stovetop) in the room. Good place for a short skiing stayover.

The hotel was close to the slopes which was a plus. They don't have enough parking! The room key is very hard to use. When it's -8 degrees outside you want to be able to get right in.

hotel room is basic and relatively clean. some of the towels had hairs on them. rooms have separate shower/changing room, sink, toilet, and mini-kitchen which can be convenient. no control over temperature in rooms however. breakfast is minimal but sufficient and can get very crammed on a friday/saturday morning.

"Great for the money!"
This is NOT a family location, lots of loud young kids for the most part, but you can't beat the bang for buck. Parking is a zoo but the hotel is pretty nice a ski town and you cant beat the location!

Hotel is acceptable, but don't expect much more than an uncomfortable bed, tiny shower, and blasting heat. it does have a mini fridge and microwave though.

The parking situation is laughable and keep in mind that this was with a very insignificant amount of snow on the ground. My room hadn't even been glanced at by the chain smoking cleaning crew upon arrival late Friday night, but after a circular dispute with management, finally got moved to a new room. New room smelled like the walls had been rubbed […] down with Italian combo grinders. Later in the weekend I mentioned the word soundproofing to the manager and his facial reaction was comparable to the look of confusion your dog gives you right after you audibly fart near him. The icing on the cake was the giant pile of penne a la vodka themed vomit that cascaded down the steps at the end of the hallway and managed to avoid the ever so industrious cleaning staff for the entire duration of our 2 night stay. Basic motel. Refrigerator and microwave. We arrived Fri at 11:00 AM. We were told "check in time was 3 PM." It seemed foolish. There were no cars in the parking lot. But, they did let us in. Breakfast is basic. Outside stairs/entrance
"VERY UNFRIENDLY AND GREEDY! AVOID!!"
Extremely unfriendly owners and employees. Not satisfied at all and will definitely not return or recommend to anyone! They were out to squeeze every penny out of me however possible! Owner followed us around the motel and was extremely rude and angry. Look elsewhere! Same pricing and better location is available! Avoid if at all possible!

It was a clean room - we arrived late and only spent the night and left very early in the morning so I could not comment on the breakfast or any of the services as it would not be fair. But the room was fine.
Good dollar value...clean with very affable staff. A little hard to find, but worth the effort.

HOTEL LOBBY A CONVERTED BEDROOM, VERY SMALL. NO VENDING MACHINES FOR SMACKS OR SOFT DRINKS, AND NO ICE MACHINE. LIMITED ON SITE PARKING, OVERFLOW WAS A DARK DEAD END ROAD. NO HEAT, ON A NIGHT THAT GOT DOWN TO 40 DEGREES. VERY BASIC AT BEST

"Excellent hotel for the price"
The hotel was much better than I expected. The rooms were very clean, and the office staff very helpful (late check in, extra towels). If you're only looking for a place to crash and nothing fancy, its a very good bargain hotel.

Very nice and clean place to stay,reasonable rates and very pet friendly.
There was no parking. Also no controls in the room for Heating and Air. Owners were nice and room was clean but would not recomend
"Stagnant...."
Upon entering our room we quickly realized it was hot and there was NO air movement at all. We called the front desk and we were told the system was automatic. We attempted to open the window but it only opened 3 inches. We barely got any sleep at all---it was awful. People were outside smoking, talking at 3:00 am. "A cheap Place to stay"
This hotel is perfect if you just need a place to crash after a long day of skiing or hiking. It is reasonably priced, but you pay for what you get. It's not dirty, but its not luxurious by any means. It's also conveniently located at the bottom of the access road, so you are close to bars an nightlife. I would stay here again.

We were on our way to Stowe and stayed at the Hillside Inn. We arrived in time to eat but had trouble finding a restrauant that was open. The Inn was strange. It didn't feel like it was open. Our window was open, and only had a pull down shade. There were workers banging when we arrived. We didn't need the air conditioner but I felt strange with the […] window open and people walking by. The bathroom has a strange set up. The toilet has it's own room, and the shower is in a room that is divided by another shower curtain. It is off the beaten path and we passed it the first time. We enjoyed our brief stay and were pleasantly surprised at the value for the price. The surroundings and the room were quiet. there was no cross ventilation in our room, which on a hot summer night made the room uncomfortable - otherwise the room was clean.
"Bottom of Killington"
This is a great basic room. The new owners have remodeled, and are still putting things together, i.e,, ice machine, vending machines, etc. The owner is fabulous! We were vacationing in the summer, but this is a great property for skiers!!! It is the first property at the bottom of the hill.

I was very impressed with the hotel. I was only there for one night but the accomodations were very good. The room was clean and stocked well with towels. The hotel staff were very helpful. It was an enjoyable stay. I would recommend it as an affordable, nice hotel.

This is my second time at this hotel. Stayed two nights for a weekend snowboarding trip. I usually don't do much at the hotel other than sleep. If you are like me, then this is the right place for you. It is the cheapest around the Ski Resort Area. A few things to be aware of: - It lacks amenities such as WIFI, Hot tub, etc. - Heating at this hotel […] is weak. They call it "Eco-friendly" but basically is no where near ideal temperature (bring extra blankets if you are cold) - Water pressure isn't bad at the 1st floor, but the third floor is really bad - Continental breakfast is really bad, and you should come in as early as possible because once they run out of something it wont be replaced Other than that, is a good place to stay considering is a two star hotel. This is a nice hotel for the price/location if you are planning to ski at Killington. A few things they could improve: - Water pressure is extremely bad (I was on the third floor, pressure might be better on lower floors) - The TV was really small and could barely see it from my bed. - Pillows were extremely uncomfortable - Continental breakfast was […] horrible (hard bagels, poptarts & a couple of cereals... only fruit offered was unripe bananas and apples) - No elevator (not too pleasant to climb two stories after a days snowboarding) The hotel is accurately rated as a two star, so don't expect too much. I got the same rate that was offered at the Ramada Inn Rutland, and for the price it meant being considerably closer to the slopes.
