Anmeldt av en hotels.com-gjest den okt 19, 2012Ganske lang deviasjon fra/til 101. Stort fint oppholdsrom + soveværelse. Fin frokost med fokus på omelett tilberedt etter din smak/ditt ønske. Ble anbefalt den italienske restauranten "La botte", drevet av en tidligere italiensk sangerinne, som gikk smånynnende på italienske sanger rundt bordene. Ble servært av hennes datter - meget behagelig bekjentskap. Valgte en kalverett til middag + en lokal pinot noir - innerblink! Overrasket over at fin frokost var inkludert i prisen - kunne ikke se det av booking/webside...

Anmeldt av en hotels.com-gjest den sep 15, 2012I stayed two nights at this Super 8. Room was clean (except for the shower head and a lone ant in the shower), bed was okay. Big plus for lots of TV channels and free Wi-Fi. VERY friendly and helpful staff! Good location for airport and buses to Isla Vista and Santa Barbara. All in all a decent motel, though I'd like it to be a little bit cheaper.

"Comfortable but Outdated"
You may think you are walking back in time when you enter the yellowing flowered wall papered room. Ours had one chair by the window next to a table that seemed to be missing a second chair. No coffee maker, no refrigerator, old tv and the room attendant was late to work so no coffee room service in the morning. I thought I was paying full price on […] Hotels.com and they hit me for an additional 35$ at check out for ?? Taxes, room fees, parking? not sure. This was an awesome get-away!! Like being in Demark without having to leave the U.S. Spacious room with great courtyard view. Walking distance to downtown, mission, etc. Great European breakfast, served from 7-11a.m. with delicious Danish pastries, fresh cut fruit, hot hard boiled eggs, cheese, ham, etc. served in the dining room. The Petersen Village Inn is a slice of Old-World charm right in the heart of the Danish tribute town of Solvang. Quiet and cozy, the hotel has a great way of taking you back to a slower way of life. It doesn't matter that the TVs are old tube units or that there is no coffee maker in the room. This is about detaching from the fast-paced lives we live […] in the outside world and forcing ourselves to take a breath, to reconnect with what really matters. My future bride and I spent just one night here this time around, but it was a perfect getaway spot. The staff was cordial and helpful and the breakfast in the morning was delicious and served by the most attentive servers I've seen in years. How often do you say that about modern service? "I will never forget this romantic get away"
I was excited when I saw how great my room looked.I was impressed with the greeting we got from Adam and April who were at the front desk they were awesome. The young men that brought us coffee to our room were friendly and courteous . We ate at the restaurant on site one night and it was phenomenal as was the service. "Excellent Accomodations"

The hotel is very quaint and cute with a small feel appeal. The subtle differences such as a hard key versus the normal coded cards for your room, the beverage and ice service to your room, and the views make it very appealing. My wife and I do an annual half-marathon in Solvang every year and we always stay at the Peterson Village Inn. The rooms are extremely nice. Nicer than what they actually charge! This hotel was very clean and charming in a traditional Danish way. The bathroom was a bit dated, but in good repair and clean. The service was excellent; a very attentive staff.
