"Lovely Hotel"
My husband and I were in Barrie for a Johnny Reid concert (yay Johnny) and chose this location as it was close to shopping and the concert venue. We expected an ok room and were surprised by how lovely it turned out to be. Loved the seating area with it's own t.v - great if you bring kids or want to socialize with family/friends and not have everyone […] sitting on your bed. The breakfast was quite nice as well (the eggs not so much) and with the option of making your own waffles, it was a nice way to start the day. All in all, we would absolutely go back and we would also look for a Super 8 for other trips we may take. Service was courteous and helpful. Les mer

We had a mother daughter weekend and it was a very relaing and enjoyable stay. This was my daughter's first time at this super 8 and she was impressed! Thank You
Pool was too high a level of chlorine - burning the skin - complained to front desk and was never correcte dover our 3 day stay - not impressed! Good breakfast and cleaniness and quiet was good/

I had booked the wrong day online (non-refundable at that) and they switched it right away for me at no cost. Excellent customer service; very pleased with the hotel.

"Close to everythink"
Stayed over the Easter Weekend, 2012. Our room was spotless, beds just right and very quiet. Had a great sleep which is rare in a hotel these days. Pool was small but my 5yr. old daughter and I were the only ones in it. 31/2ft deep all across for those non swimmers. Water was just right and the hot tub was hot. Sick of tubs being luke warm so what a […] treat!! The bottom of the tub needed refinishing. :( but was clean. Breakfast had lots of variety so you won't have to go out. Shopping was just a step in any direction, local movies and indoor golf were close. It is pet friendly and I saw lots of dogs but never heard any of them. We were early for arrival and the room was ready!! I would stay again and recommend it. This Barrie, Ontario Super 8 has my vote of 4/5. Les mer

This is one of the nicer Super 8s we've stayed in. The pool is pretty tiny but the breakfast is quite good.

stayed here a few times on business and found it great. good price, big comfortable rooms, good wifi. breakfast is very basic but it does. walking distance to 5+ restaurants, walmart, some fast food places. just off the highway so great location.

Having the shuttle to Georgian Downs & Slots is a must when drinking & driving is such a no no. Close to shopping, restaurants, outlets. The breakfast was great, a whole wheat option would be nice. The only thing I would suggest is do not get a room near the stairs and elevator, there is no sound barrier, even the floor above we could hear and they […] weren't being that loud. Les mer

the room was clean , the only thing i would say is the noise , people running in hallway the room upstair very noise, so did call down stair to swicht room the clerk said would call back to let us know but never call back , and he never change us room. the clerk never took care of the problem

What a pleasant surprise this hotel was. It was brand new, check in was easy and the people helpful. Breakfast was better than Embassy Suites and less crowded! This experience made we want to look into staying at more Motel 8s.

First impressions were excellent. I opted for the King Suite. Kitchenette was nice, but the fridge wasn't powered on? So my water stayed cold from my ice packs overnight. I was in the room long enough to put some things down, and then head right out. It wasn't until I got back in the evening that I noticed how hard the bed was. Wow. That was a concrete […] slab with sheets. Next up, who puts the bed, in the MOST EXPENSIVE ROOM, with the headboard along a wall, where the mechanical room for the elevator is on the other side? When I would wake up in the middle of the night from the uncomfortable bed, I would stay awake from the elevator, constantly running up and down. Very tiring. Finally, the cherry on the top of this dessert of disappointment, is that when I went to take a shower, I tried to adjust the shower head (which was on abusive-spray setting). The shower head actually was unscrewing. It began to shoot water everywhere. I had to screw it back on to keep it from coming off completely, and maybe even hitting me in the process. I reported all of this to the counter staff, who did the sum total of nothing about it. I'm not one to make scenes, so I simply checked out that morning. Needless to say, unfortunately, I will never stay in this Hotel 8 every again. It was a complete letdown, and I feel that I would've slept better in my car. Les mer
"Uncomfortable beds"
We walked in to our room and the beds looked so nice and comfortable...well once we climbed into bed, it was like sleeping on a board!! They were very hard and had the worst sleep ever..our son decided to sleep on the floor instead as he said it was more comfortable then the bed!

nice indoor kiddie pool, hot tub didn't work, people came back at 3:00 a.m. and decided to have a party in the parking lotand the worst bed i ever slept on
"Comfortable stay"
We stayed in this hotel for one night, in the family suite. Everything was OK, breakfast was very good, room was nice and clean, service was 'above and beyond'. The only negative is the pool - it is very small and when two families want to use it at the same time, it gets crowded.

Went up on a friday for the night. Close to all (major chain) restraunts- East Side, Montanas, etc and only a short cab ride into downtown Barrie for more great dining.

On two occasions I have stayed at the Super 8 in Barrie and have been satisfied with the staff and of the accomodating service they all provide. The very friendly greeting as you walk in and especially in the morning I most appreciated, I will be coming back fequently for business and will be staying only here . See you again in April. Jill

The hotel was everything we expected. Even on a busy weekend (family day) there was no trouble. Breakfast was great, room was comfortable, staff was nice, the only thing missing was wireless internet.

My husband, son, and myself traveled from Long Island, NY up to Algonquin Privincial Park and had a stayover in Super 8 of Barrie. What a wonderful stay! Clean, extra-friendly staff, and close to all necessary stores/eateries. Our 17 month old son was super excited about the balloons and his first lollipop they provided to him as well as the ice cream […] pop when he hit his head on the hotel room door. The breakfast was more than you can ask for - warm, fresh and tasty, not to forget to mention that the service was impecable. Staff were extra friendly - providing change for the laundry facilities, providing guidance to the local area and always having a smile. The only downside to this hotel was that we couldn't stay another night. Les mer

I have stayed in Barrie on a few occasions. This was my first stay at Super 8 and was by far the cleanest place, staff very friendly and helpful. Will stay there on my next visit . Convenietly located to shopping and dining.

Good value for the price if you are looking for a place to spend a night or two. Pool and spa were acceptable. Close to restaurants and a movie theatre. Easy access to Hwy 400.
Close to everything. Right off the 400. Small pool, didn't have time to try it. Very good hot breakfast buffet. Great belgian waffles. Staff very friendly and helpful. Refrigerator and microwave in room.

Situé au centre de tous les restos et magasins. À 30 minutes de Wasaga Beach et environ 1h de Toronto. Le personnel était très sympathique. Ils nous ont même laissé entrer à midi et demi dans notre chambre alors que les arrivées sont pour 15h. Chambre propre et lit confortable. Le petit-déjeuner comprend de tout: oeuf, saucisse, gauffre, 3 sortes de […] pain, bagel, céréales, gruau, fruits, café, jus.
