Veldig stilig hotell, tøff arkitektonisk og pene rom. Små minus på rommet er en dusj som lekker slik at man må tørke en vannpytt etterpå, samt en lite kald minibar. Altså bare bagateller. Bra rengjøring. Grei service på hotellet, men intet mer enn hva vi ba om. Noen ganger er jo det helt ålreit. Frokosten er dyr og asketisk. Varmretter må man betale tillegg for. Men den er likevel å foretrekke fremfor de elendige restaurantene og frokostmenyene på la rambla (hold dere unna all mat på la rambla). Beliggenheten er upåklagelig. Kort oppsummert et hotell som absolutt er fire stjerner verdig. Stilige rom. Anbefales.

Jeg og min mann overnattet på Alexandra hotell i forbindelse med 4 dagers miniferie til Barcelona. Hotellet hadde ypperlig plassering i forhold til både serverdigheter, shopping og restauranter. Kan anbefale restaurant Cervecería Catalana som ligger 1 minutt fra hotellet (Mallorca 236), her har de nydelig tapas! Ellers var personalet strålende, både i resepsjonen og i baren. De kan mye om byen og snakker godt engelsk. Rommet er moderne inredet og vi fikk en liten balkong der vi kunne nyte morgen solen. Dusjen er herlig, med stor "overhead" dusjhode. Eneste minus må være at sengen var litt hard. Barcelona er en fantastisk by og et opphold på Hotel Alexandra kan absolutt anbefales som et godt utgangspunkt.

Kjempefin tur med 3 venninner. Sightseeingbuss, shopping, fortauskafeer, gode måltider og avslapning på hotellets tak og basseng. Fortauskafeene utenfor hotellet er også veldig ok med hyggelig betjening.

"glemte vekking"
oppholdet var forsåvidt greit med fint, nytt, rent rom, men jeg ba om å bli vekket og bestille taxi for å nå fly tidlig på morgenen. Ingen av delene var ordnet. Ingen nattevakt tilstede heller (jeg dro kl.04.30).
"Flott hotell i Barcelona, men 30 minutt fra Rambla"
Bra hotell, gratis buss fra hotellet til sentrum og til en fin strand (Gava beach). Det var rart å være på stranden ved Gava, for dette var en flott strand, men veldig lite folk. Så om en skulle bli lei av mye folk i Barcelona og ønsker strand, test ut Gava beach. Men møt opp litt tidlig utenfor Hesperia tower, for hotellbussen tar bare 10-12 turister, […] "førstemann til mølla" er prinsippet. Om en trenger å handle mat, så ligger det en fin matbutikk i en gågate like nord for hotellet mellom høyblokkene, ca 3 minutt å gå. Vi syntes metro (linje 1 metrostasjon Hospital Bellvitge) fungerte bra, stasjonen er 4 minutts gange fra hotellet. Da bruker den ca 20 minutt til sentrale deler av Barcelona. Leilighetene var fine, godt renhold, aircondition, trådløst internett inkludert. Om en ønsker å trene på treningsrommet, så koster dette ca 100,- per gang, det samme gjelder lån av svømmebassenget. Frokost er ikke inkludert og koster over 100,- per person, per måltid. Konklusjon: flott hotell om du ikke blir skremt av 25-30 minutts reisetid til sentrale deler av byen. Høy romstandard, hvis svømmebasseng og frokost var inkludert (gjerne med litt høyere pris også), så ville vi tenkt at dette er den optimale "hotellpakken" i Barcelona. Med dette i bakhodet blir du nok ikke skuffet om du velger Hesperia Fira Suite. God tur til Barcelona ! Les mer

"strongly recommended"
The crew was so polite, the breakfast was good, but the thing i like most is the bed. It was so comfortable. The location of the hotel seems a bit far from the city but the direct metro station next to the hotel and the shuttle service provided were quite helpful about that. All in all, it really enjoyed it there, most probably will stay there again […] when i go to barcelona next. Les mer
"Very nice accommodation with affordability"
We stained in this hotel apartment for a week (family trip to discover Barcelona ). The location is perfect if you have a family and you do not want to be in downtown hub. The subway is very convineant way to explore barcelona . The staff especially Laura were ver helpful and speak good English . The shuttle to la rambla and airport is very convineant […] but you need to early in the line to secure your spot in 10 persons mini bus. The driver is very helpful but does not speak English . The room was clean and room service were fantastic . We are for sure will go back if we visited Barcelona next time. Just a note taxi is very reasonably priced so do not worry if the subway is shut down while you are in the downtown or in our case late attending barcelona team game in camp nou . Les mer

Hotel is very close to airport and the city center (10 min. by car for both). Rooms are very clean and comfortable. Although there is a busy street nearby, windows are well isolated and outside noise is not an issue. Staff is very helpful. Downsides: Hotel has no parking space; however, there is a parking facility for 25 EUR a day. It is also possible […] to find parking space on the street. "Convenient for 1-night stop-over"
Hotel is not in a very good location, but there are some shops. As others have stated there is a shuttle to the airport, but only at very specific times. As far as I could tell there is no shuttle FROM the airport -- so check that out first if its imortant to you. Good shuttle into town if you want to spend the evening, and easy way back on the metro. […] Carefull though, the L1 (red) line is sometimes accessed by walking through platforms for other lines (like L3). The unwary (like me) would sit waiting for the train on the wrong platform. Downtown Barcelona is a blast, and of course there is no shortage of good eats. The hotel actually has some suites as well -- which we had. The room itself was average, and wasn't really inviting (as such), but if was very convenient to unzip our luggage for the overnight stay. The breakfast wasn't free, but if you book it when you check in, you get a substancial discount. In the parade of shops behind the hotel, its easy to get a coffee and some baked goods. I thought the taxi to and from the airport would be cheap, but once the driver hit the "nobble" button (airport surcharge), the price doubled from that displayed. Don't forget to add this to the cost of your stay -- since it can make a moderate overnight stay seem a little pricey. Les mer

The hotel was good and close to the airport with free shuttled service to and from which is rare there. It is the smaller less expensive version of the hotel next door. It was good in all respects except that it was staffed with inexperienced receptionists who tried hard but were unable to provide a map of the area or able to tell us to go next door […] to print a boarding pass. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It's out of the city centre, but right next to the metro line (last stop on Line 1), so we could easily get to any place in the city we wanted to. It's also one bus stop away from IKEA and a big shopping center (Carrefour, Decathalon, etc.). We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood with many parks and walkways--a nice […] change of pace from the busy city when we came back in the evenings. A supermarket is a mere 5 minute walk away, which made making meals in our kitchenette easy and affordable. We definitely recommend this and hope to stay there again! Les mer

Cons: You will need to revalidate your keys every four days. Check-in time is 3:00 PM - not really convenient for overnight flights arriving in the morning. They do however try to get you an apartment earlier and will store your luggage while you wait. Pros: The apartment is just that - microwave, stovetop, refrigerator, pots and pans, dishes, utensils, […] kitchen sink and table for eating. Separate bedroom with a door. The place was immaculate, very well maintained while we were there. We didn't quite know how to work the air conditioner, so they sent someone to us immediately to show us how to use it. The price was very competitive. The location was very convenient: close to the metro and to the airport. The metro is easy to use and will get you anywhere you want to go in Barcelona. We made use of their airport shuttle on our last stay and saved 46 euros going to and from the airport. We also used their shuttle to go to Catalunya Square, which gave us a chance to see Barcelona above ground. The neighborhood was wonderful and very friendly. There is park next to the hotel and apartments. There is also a bakery that serves very tasty sandwiches, bread, croisants, etc. called 365.cafe. Very reasonable prices (4.50 euros for breakfast). Close to the bakery is a fast food store and a grocery store. I would recomment the gespachio, cured ham, cheese, and very good but very inexpensive spanish wine. Again the people were very friendly. You can easily reach these by going around to the back of the apartment building and then across the street into a square with an outdoors cafe and places for people to sit and talk to each other. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and available 24 hours per day in the hotel part (tower) next to our apartment building. It was nice having at least two tv channels in English - Bloomberg business news and the BBC. We should have brought a laptop/netbook. I would definitely stay here again if and when we come back to Barcelon Les mer
"Overall great hotel, a little noisy"
This hotel had NO carpet anywhere around or in the rooms. All the wood and tile made every sound echo. I slept great WITH earplugs. It had a kitchenette, living area, nice sized bathroom with an awesome shower, and a nice bedroom. They also offer free wi-fi. Breakfast was very good, but a bit costly.

The rooms are large and definitely have Air conditioning. Its not a big deal to walk 2 minutes to the metro strop but it does take 30 minutes to get in. Also dont want to come back late at night, sometime sketchy and metro stops at midnight. Overall nice hotel.

This is a great place to stay if you do not mind a 20-30 minute Metro ride into town everyday. It is also very convenient to the airport, making it easier (and less expensive) to get in and out by taxi or public transport. The Metro is only steps away and is the best way to explore Barcelona. The staff at the hotel was always helpful and friendly, and the furnishings were modern and up-to-date. My room was spotless and well appointed with flat screen televisions in the living room and bedroom. I recommend prepaying for the buffet breakfast when you check in. At only 10 Euros per day, it's a great value. The one drawback of this property, of course, is that you are not at the center of town and the immediate neighborhood is good for buying groceries but otherwise a bit dull. The suites were comfortable and pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful, and provided me with a converter for my laptop. The breakfast bar was excellent, although not included in the room charge. However, there was very limited restaurant service on Sunday night, and I had to take a taxi into town. The shower temperature control was not functioning […] properly. It was convenient to the airport, and they provided a free shuttle as well, plus a shuttle on Sunday to the downtown Barcelona area. The hotel was convenient to public transportation and I felt safe and secure. The staff was friendly even though their English was limited. I would definitely consider a stay with them next time I travel to Barcelona.

We did some research and the Aparthotel Hesperia Fira Suites more than fulfilled our expectations. At the end of a great week in Spain, we planned to stay in Barcelona and enjoy the Bari Gotic and shopping along the La Rambla. If you are here for a short period, you don't need a car. Call the hotel from the airport and take their shuttle or take a taxi […] if you don't want to wait. The subway is very close to the hotel near the hospital (a 5 minute walk), and you can get off at La Rambla in the center of the old city. We were offered a discount for the breakfast on arrival and had a delicious meal before taking the hotel shuttle to the airport for your flight home. We only speak limited Spanish and the hotel staff are very friendly and will help with anything you need. Les mer

"Recommended - if you can get a good price"
Hesperia Fira Suites is located at the outskirts of Barcelona, but close to a Metro station. The neighborhood is nothing to write home about. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, if a little worn out. Breakfast was quite diverse and tasty. The only major problem was with the breakfast. We booked B&B (international Breakfast), but it was not […] registered in their system. They told us that, because we booked over the internet, and most such bookings does not include breakfast. After a discussion at the front desk, where we showed a copy of our reservation, things seemed to be all right. Well, we were again asked to pay our breakfast twice. This is a great place to stay if you don't want to be in the city of Barcelona, It is the last stop on the metro system, and the Barcelona card is a great way to see everything. But it does take a while to get to the inner city. The food is great and the staff is very helpful.

This hotel served our purpose very well. It was clean, ultra-modern, and just a short walk to the Metro station. The service was excellent, the suite comfortable, and the food quite good. Perhaps the only drawback is that there are few restaurants or stores nearby. Still, in 20 minutes one is in the city center, where both of the above are readily available. Second year that we stayed after a cruise to spend some time in Barcelona. Very good hotel, better value last year, prices were up approx.$20. About a 25-30 euro cab fare from the cruise terminal. About 20-25 euro from the airport. They offer a shuttle from the airport but NOT during Siesta Time !!! If you need to get to or from the airport during that […] time yo have to take a cab !! Also free shuttle to and from the airport does not run before 7AM. If you have an early morning your left with having to take a cab. The shuttle also runs at no charge to downtown on a reasonable but limited schedule. The METRO is very convenient and is approx. 2 euro each way, it is the Red line. All in all a fair valued hotel with some inconveniences. If flying early a hotel nearer the airport is probably a better choice. Very limited access to restaurants, hotel restaurant is good but expensive. Very modern hotel !! Les mer

This hotel is outside of town but there's a free shuttle that runs various times to town center and a subway nearby. Its a quiet area nearby to walk around and enjoy a few cute cafes and dog park. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It is outside of town but it has free shuttle to the town center and the subway is nearby. On a return from a cruise out of Barcelona we stayed at Hysperia Fira Suites. It is right next to the Metro. They have free airport transport that works out great. Cab ride from the Cruise Ship port was 30 Euro with four people and four bags. Really nice park next to hotel to walk in and some shops in the walking area for sandwiches or drinks. Very […] reasonable lunch or dinner a few blocks from hotel. Hotel restraunts are super nice. Room was great with two TVs and separate bedroom from front room. Nice kitchenette. a great value for your money, you get great service and comfort for small bucks. Not close to the center at all, the metro is right outside the hotel, but it takes around 30 minutes to reach city center. Don't miss out on the wonderful breakfast buffet!

Very nice and comfortable rooms and beds. Excellent bathroom facilities in the suite. Very contemporary and free internet. Breakfest was not included in the price of room. "25 minutes from the center of Barcelona"
I stayed in a junior suite which was very comfortable. It had 2 TVs - one in the bedroom and the other in the bedroom. The air-conditioning system was excellent. The breakfast was only OK because they didn't have fresh orange juice (which is pretty standard for 5 star hotels in Spain) and the fresh fruit and other food wasn't refilled quickly enough. […] Also the coffee was only served intermittently. I would recommend this place to a couple that wants to cook for themselves at night or willing to spend the entire day in the city after eating breakfast. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone who likes to come home after a day's activity to prepare to go out at night; it's too far out of the city center. Les mer

Med en dreng på 20 måneder er det rart med en lejlighed frem for blot et hotelværelse, når man er på ferie. Der ligger et supermarked og et frugtmarked lige i nærheden. Metrostationen ligger 200 m fra hotellet. Det tager 30 minutter indtil centrum. Man skal ikke skifte metro undervejs. Vi nød vores ophold i høj grad og vil klart anbefale det til andre. […] Lejlighedens tilstand var fin, og køkken var veludstyret. Der var et stort badeværelse, og badeværelsets bruser havde endda massagedyser indbygget. Skønt. Les mer

Prachtig appartement, schoon, lekkere bedden, geweldige ruime badkamer met grote inloopdouche. We konden gebruik maken van het ontbijtbuffet in het naast gelegen hotel. Het ontbijtbuffet in één woord fantastisch! Erg vriendelijk en zeer behulpzaam personeel. Echt een aanrader. Binnen 20 minuten zit je in Barcelona centrum. De metro is binnen 2 minuten […] bereikbaar. Zéér goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding. Hier komen wij nog een keer terug. Les mer
