Hotel was convient,clean , and staff very friendly and resoursful. Would stay again.

When I checked in the front desk was very friendly as she was telling me she was going to try to call me to cancel my room because they somehow were overbooked, butl luckily someone canceled. She said she didn't know how I was able to book through hotels.com because they were sold out. She said she had a last minute cancel which saved me! That made […] me a little nervous! Other than an almost overbooking which would have left me & 5 others stranded at 9:30pm - looking for a quick place to sleep for a morning event in the area - it did the trick. Rooms were very clean & comfortable. The only downfall - which was no fault of the hotel - was the 2am drag racing that was going on outside. I don't know that I would stay here again because it was further than I thought to the venue. Since it was booked last minute - it wasn't too bad! Les mer

The Country Inn Suites was a very pleasant experience. In this day of questionable service and cleanliness in a stay away from home that used to be a norm has become a crap shoot. Found this place very difficult to find and didn't like the look of the surrounding neighbourhood. Beggars on road just outside hotel.

When we got to the hotel, they were not able to find our reservation. The attendant had to look in another "system" and found our reservation there.She stated the hotel was over-booked, but ended up giving us a room.

The staff here are very polite and helpful and really knows how to make you feel welcome.

This property on 8850 Hampton Mall Drive is just outside the DC area in the Capitol Heights area. It's 4 years old and still in great condition. It is in a mixed shopping-type area with a 7-11 store, auto repair store, Home Depot, Staples, I-Hop, Wendy's, and more. It is a half mile off I-95 and less than a mile from a nice, well-lit metro station. […] Parking at the metro fills up early but space is available after 10:00AM. I felt safe staying here and driving back and forth to the Morgan Blvd metro. It's a 30 minute ride to the Smithsonian on the Blue Line. The breakfast area was clean and had coffee, juice, milk, yogurt, some fruit, bagels, muffins and pastries. One day the scrambled eggs tasted like rubber and the next morning they were decent. The room had a comfortable bed and a wall thermostat for the air conditioning unit. The description of the Colonial Inn on hotels.com is completEly inaccurate. It claims that all rooms have smoking permitted, an indoor pool, children's pool and sauna. Well upon arrival there is a GIANT sign announcing that the entire premises is SMOKE FREE! We had been on the road for several hours and were exhausted at that point. The desk clerk seemed […] to have cared less that there hotel was being falsely advertised and told me "Well we've been smoke free since last November! Do you wanna check-in?" - ummmmm don't you think it would be a good idea to update the companies YOU ADVERTISE WITH!!!! and some empathy? Anyway on to the "pool" area - so....they don't have an indoor pool, children's pool AND sauna.......they have a 10x10 3ft indoor pool that's so darn hot in there (they must be considering the room as the sauna) there is no adult size/depth pool anywhere. The room advertised to have 2 king beds (which it did!) a sleeper sofa (which it did not) and separate seating area (which it did not) - the morning after our arrival I happened to be the first one up and went to the bathroom WHERE IT WAS COVERED IN ANTS...I immediately woke my family got dressed and checked out.... I would not recommend this hotel to anyone - the "neighborhood" has speeding cars going up and down the streets all night long - there seems to be some sort of car dealership across the way and you can clearly hear their intercom system. During the day the local 7-11 has vagrants standing outside pan handling....STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT AS YOU CAN! Les mer

I stayed in one ga. So then my daughter told me she needed a hotel room in d.c. I throught about the country inn and stuites.

The hotel is in a good location for visiting Washington DC very close without the close cost. The hotel staff was great very helpful and nice. The breakfeast at the hotel was better than most. The hotel's neighborhood could have been better. Neighborhood was not the most deseriable.

We stayed at various hotels during this trip but Country Inn and Suites was the best of them all! The hotel was clean, the staff were attentive, courteous, and professional, and the rooms had an updated, modern, and luxurious feel. We will be glad to book at Country Inn and Suites again.

The best thing about this hotel is the amazing service and the above-and-beyond professionalism. When we first made it into the hotel room, the lady at the front desk called us to make sure we had everything we needed, and to remind us that we can call the front desk if we've forgotten anything. That was a NICE TOUCH!! The rooms (specifically the bathrooms) […] in this place are also very comfortable and nice. The only problem is that it's in a shopping area that includes a 7-11 and a Home Depot, which can draw in suspicious groups of people lingering in the parking lot. Our two rooms were not available when we arrived. We were told that the hotel was over booked. So, they sent us to the Sleep Inn. The hotel said that they would have their driver get us to and from the game. The driver tried to collect $20 from each of us. The hotel later said they would not pay the driver for everything and that we would all have to […] pay $5 each. Not a pleasant experience. Tempers flared on the parts of all involved. Not happy! This hotel was neat a clean and quiet. The only real drawback was that it is isolated from restaurants and any walking destinations. It is located in a mall with with Home Depot and other big box stores but with no reataurants.

I visit Washington DC with my family and was looking for a hotel with pool for kids. the pool had hours during the middle of day. By the time we got back to hotel the pool was close. we travel to see people so when we finish visiting we would like to swim to relax not there you wanted. so hotel was great , but i should have got a hotel with and outside […] pool so that we would have been able to swim. This hotel was okay. The front desk personal was a little mean when they couldn't find our reservation for the second night. Random people are always walking around the outside of the hotel. Would recommend parents stick with your children at all times.

no funciono ni wi-fe ni internet por cable.si no saben andar en metro y buses no recomiendo este hotel porque se arruinarian en taxis. muy buena alternativa por el precio pagado. desayuno normal y buena atencion del personal. para llegar usando el metro tomen en el aeropuerto la linea azul del metro y se bajan en la estacion largo. luego tomen un bus […] en la estacion Largo del metro con destino a la estacion morgan o estacion adisson del metro en rutas 21 y 22 de lunes a viernes y ruta 29 sabados y domingos y se bajan frente al mcdonal y a 100 metros esta el hotel. los autobuses del metro bus cuestan 1.75$ y los buses THE BUS cobran 1 $ igual de buenos.al lado del hotel existen rstaurantes de comida rapida buenos.Hay en la calle justo al lado del hotel personas que aunque tienen mala apariencia son trabajadores a destajo que son contratados por quien los necesita,no son malas personas pero dan un poco de miedo.
