Utsikten var fantastisk og omgivelsene nydelige. Fint rom med balkong (standard rom). Det ligger strengt tatt utenfor hotellets kontroll, men når vi besøkte hoteller i midten av desember blåste det så mye, samt at det var såpass kaldt at det i grunnen var utriveligt å være ute. På denne tiden av året er det nok smartere/bedre klima nærmere kysten, dog det må være en kjempeplass resten av året.

Overnattet der en natt siden jeg var på beriftsreise og er meget fornøyd. Prisen var rimelig, resepsjonen og roomservice veldig hyggelig og profesjonelle. Treningsfasiliteter og bassenget på toppterrassen bidro til å høyne opplevelsen, fantastisk å kunne ta en joggetur etter frokost med hele Torremolinos som utsikt!

Beliggenhet.
Barcelo Malaga ligger nær sjøen i Malaga, i nærheten av Centro de Arte Contemporaneo, Málaga katedral og Málaga amfiteater. Ikke langt unna finner du også Alcazaba og Picassos fødested.
Hotellfasiliteter.
Barcelo Malaga har badstue og treningsstudio. Gratis trådløs Internett-tilgang er tilgjengelig på fellesområdene, og en et Internett-punkt finnes også på området. "Barcelo Malaga"
Bra Hotell, Eneste jeg har å utsette på er resturantpersonale ikke kan mye engelsk. En forutsetning når man jobber på hotell at personale kan engelsk. Ellers var hotellet og serviceen bra. Prøvde også treningssenteret som var opp til god standard og hadde bra nok innhold for å kunne trene det meste av muskler og fitness.
"Meget sentralt i Malaga"
Hotel Barcelo Malaga ligger så sentralt som det er mulig i forhold til kommunikasjoner. Selve hotellet ligger i Maria Zambrano jernbanestajon med egen inngang til resepsjonen. Det tar bare 3 - 4 minutter å gå gjennom stasjonen til byens busstasjon. Rommene er romslige og du kan velge mellom en stor eller separate senger i dobbeltrom. "Barcelo - et godt alternativ i Malaga"
Alt fungerte bra. Svært god frokost. God service fra personalet. Moderne arkitektur/design. Beliggenheten er perfekt i forhold til tog/buss, men hotellet ligger litt for langt fra sentrum/gamlebyen, hvor man stort sett ferdes når man er i Malaga. Så det ble en del taxi-kjøring på oss mellom hotellet og gamlebyen. Men for all del,- hotellet er bra!

Hotell Barcelo må oppleves! Flott og moderne hotell. Strålende plassering når en ankommer med tog. Hotellet ligger på jernbanestasjonen og i et shoppingsenter med butikker av meget bra kvalitet. Fem minutter med taxi til sentrum, og 15 minutter til flyplass. En fantastisk frokost med stort og delikat utvalg. Nydelige rom, med stort bad og meget gode […] senger. Veldig hyggelig betjening, og flott renhold. Til å være et 4 stjerners hotell er dette det beste vi har bodd på. Frokosten sannsynligvis den beste vi har opplevd uansett hotell og antall stjerner. "excellent access to both the train and bus station"
the hotel is part of the building that comprises the train station(maria zambrano station) and only a block away from the city bus station so it's the place to go if you are looking for a close access to outbound transportation. free sauna service was pretty enjoyable. all you need to do is to ask to the front 30 mins prior to your usage so that they […] can have the sauna room available just for you. restaurant's quite good too w/ variety of dishes. "Barcelo Malaga - nice and easy"
We had a nice xmas week in Malaga and Barcelo Hotel. Everything was easy to catch: the train to airport, train to Sevilla, bus to Granada, taxi to old town etc. The pesonnel was friendly and we like to especially thank the person in the reception who helped us to find place for dinner on xmas eve. "Great location"
Stayed for 3 nights from 11th december, had such a smooth journey from airport to hotel by train, so easy wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Rooms great, big showers. Bar ultra modern but bit un atmospheric. No one seemed to use it but it's a short walk to malaga centre with loads of restaurants. Xmas lights were on, city was lovely, will be back again […] and would stay at barcelo Les mer

"very convinient location"
The hotel is right on the train station and a stones throw from the bus station. Walking.to the city centre took about 15 mins. Getting here from the airporr is very simple, just take the direct train from airport to maria zambarno station and the hotel is right there. The breakfast is good, bit i guess plenty of options must be availabe on the station […] area, except that if u want an early breakfast better book ot at the hotel as nothing really opens till 8.30 a. The reception lady was helpful with stuff. Would stay here again! Les mer

Great customer service, front desk personnel very helpful. Love the slide in reception! Perfect if you are visiting by train as the station is right next door.

"Pleasant surprize at the end of long journey"
I recently stayed at the Hotel Barcelo after a long trek through Spain and other parts. Arrived very early with complicated requests (traveling with others) and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating. "Barcelo Malaga - Ideal for quick stopover"
The hotel was ideal for our one night stopover as we arrived quite late in Malaga. We used the train to connect from the airport to the city centre. The hotel can be accessed directly from the Maria Zambrano station, and meant we were also very close to the bus station to travel on the next morning. "Wonderful Experience!"
We stayed at this hotel for one night in August during our honeymoon. It was an amazing hotel, especially the slide from the second floor to the lobby! We were upgraded to a suite which was very nice, spacious and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly - we arrived early and our room was ready for us anyway. The facilities were good (had […] a decent fitness centre). Our only complaint was that it was a little far from the main attractions, but we were still able to walk everywhere. The hotel was bright airy and clean. The only downside was from an unhelpful gentleman receptionist.
"Close to transportation"
This is a great hotel for connecting with buses and trains. It's very modern. The air conditioned room was great after 100 F degree weather, but actually was a bit cold and we needed extra blankets! Easy to walk to points of interest and shopping.

The front desk employed are, very nice, they help all the time, they go out the way to help. This is a super modern Hotel and right on the train station (RENFE)

This hotel is very convienent. it is accessible from the train station. However, one of the rooms we got had very strong cigarette smell though it is a non smoking room. Informed hotel staff but nothing was done. other than that, it was fine.

The hotel is convenient for travellers wanting a central location in Malaga with easy access to thecruise terminals, train and/or air connections. Lobby reception is quite small and crowded with cruise tour groups but the staff did their best to accommodate all, even opening another room for luggage storage. Not sure they were prepared for the influx. […] We were at first confused with part of the large tour group but when the front desk discovered we were not a part of the group they gave us full . We stayed at the Barcelo due to previous stays at other Barcelo hotels in other locations and the convenience. Room was great though a bit noisy as it faced the main entrance and roadway. Staff was gracious and helpful. Dining and lounge ammenities could use some work but we were there to rest before heading the the airport at 4am. Kudos to the front desk being available at that time of the morning and being pleasant and helpful in securing a taxi. We will continue to stay at the Barcelo hotels. Les mer

The hotel was in a good location being near to the railway station which gave good access to the airport and major Spanish cities.The reception and rooms were very good.Only downside was that the air conditioning was not working or if, as the hotel say it was, then it was non effective. The room temperature was very high in the 80's so that it was difficult […] to sleep and only a small window for ventilation.Outside could be heard noise from the seagulls as they perched on a large flat roof. "Hotel Barcelo Malaga"
I chose and booked it on the internet, keeping my fingers crossed as I always do that it would be o.k. It was across the road from the Coach station and next door to the Raiway Station (the back entrance was literally through the railway station) which had some intersting shops. For us this was such a bonus as we travelled back to Malaga by coach from […] Granada, and our trip to the airport for our morning flight was easy with trains every 30 mins. No extra taxi fares needed. We only had a day in Malaga but the bus to the attractions we wanted to visit ( Cathedral, Picasso museum, castle etc) was from outside the hotel and cost 1 euro each way. The hotel itself was so so moden, so so clean and the bathroom and 7 jet shower was something else. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel but did eat in the dining room in the evening. This cost 25-30 euros each (with wine) I would say that one course would be sufficient to order (for me, not for the younger members of our group) as they supplied an aperitif of a small dish of soup and a large prawn on a bed of rocket with a fab dressing. The bread rolls just kept being offered and there was a selection of about 6 and came with olve oil dips. there was a free liquer offered to finish the meal. The ambience and the fab waiter service made the meal special and memorable. Although there was not a vegetarian option for the veggie in our group, they suggested dishes that they could and would prepare. "Barcelo Malaga Hotel - Great location, a real gem"
We chose this hotel because it is adjacent to the train station and a shopping mall. (Actually they are all connected.) We flew into Malaga airport. The airport train station is a short walk across the street (about one block) from the terminal doors. It is about a 10 minute train ride to the hotel. It couldn't be more convenient!! Just walk out of […] the train station and into the hotel. The decorating style of the hotel is art nouveau. The lobby is small, but functional. The room was bright and airy. We especially loved the bathroom and the very large shower! The lighted clothes rod in the closet was also novel. The bus station is about two blocks away (through the train station) and it is easy to do a day trip to Gibraltar from here. The cruise port is a short taxi ride away. It is easy to get a taxi at the train station. Looking forward to staying here on our next trip! Les mer
"quirky hotel,within shopping centre& train station"
cool place, helpful and friendly staff with good english. V clean, quiet and comfortable bedrooms. great shower with different settings. Use of sauna and gym. Would have loved a kettle in the room and couple of english channels on the tv or radio. Don't worry I wasn't in much- really enjoyed Malaga city as well.

The hotel was a little difficult to find but is basically at the back of the train station. The surrounding neighbourhood isn't particularly nice and makes you feel slightly uneasy. The hotel itself is absolutely fantastic. The room was very comfortable and the decor was really appealing. I have also not seen a better bathroom for the price we paid. […] The shower was amazing!!! The only problem with the room was the thin walls as I could hear the couple next door having a bit of hanky panky in the middle of the night, but at least they seemed to be enjoying themselves. Check-out was surperb and the staff very helpful again, and I couldn't leave without having a go on the slide from the 1st floor to reception. What can be better than that!!! Les mer

"Beautiful hotel and grounds"
We loved the grounds, the pool, the history of this charming and rather regal establishment. The price was very reasonable for the value received. This is an older hotel, so has thinner walls and you can hear your neighbors, but if you bring earplugs you'll love this place!

Modern, spacious, European hotel. Reception doors linked to the train station. Surprisingly, very quiet and has blackout shades for anyone wanting to take mid-day ciesta. Very clean. Neighborhood is a little questionable. A good 15-20mins walk from main part of town.

"Terrific Hotel in very convenient location for traveling Costa del Sol"
My daughter and I stayed at Barcelo Malaga for 7 nights. It far exceeded our expectations! The hotel is perfectly situated inside the very new and modern Malaga Train station - with a shopping mall including many trendy stores and restaurants. Barcelo Malaga has easy access to local and long distance train service, the airport, and local and long distance […] bus routes (bus station is directly across the street). The staff was so helpful and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable - particularly the reception staff and our favorite "Alvaro". He never failed to deliver when we needed assistance. The hotel is quite modern but also extremely comfortable with large (by European standards), well appointed guest rooms including any amenity a traveler may need. The daily breakfast buffet scrumptious and was by far the best I've ever had - including stays at several 5 star Caribbean resorts. I highly recommend this hotel as the perfect "home base" for anyone visiting Costa del Sol. Les mer
"Stylish hotel in good location"
The staff and the funky decoration were the best aspects of this hotel - not that there was anything at all to complain about. Good location next to the central train station and only a 10-15 minute walk to the much prettier 'old town' part of Malaga.

This hotel has it all. Ultra modern, extremely comfortable bed, amazing shower! The complimentary breakfast buffet was more than we could ever expect. I would love to stay at Barcelo Malaga again.
