Dørhåndtaket i rommet var av en slik konstruksjon at min hustru måtte ha hjelp hver gang hun skulle åpne døren innenfra, enten av meg hvis jeg var tilstede, eller ringe resepsjonen for å få hjelp defra. Det manglet kluter på badet.

Hotelle reklamerte med klimaanlegg, men dette hadde ikke effekt nok til å få temperaturen under 25 grader og med tykke dyner ble det temmelig hett og ubehagelig. Ute var det tung trafikkstøy så å åpne vinduet var ikke en opsjon. Rommet var imidlertid veldig godt støyisolert med lukkede vinduer. Dusjen var et kapittel for seg, blandebatteriet var gammelt […] og utslitt, det var av typen som kan skifte uttapping enten til dusj ellert til badekar. denne sjalteren virket ikke og vi fikk nesten ikke vann i dusjen leer vi måtte stå bøyd å holde denne oppe mens vi dusjet. Dette klaget vi på, de reparerte den en gang, men feil kom tilbake straks etter første dusj. Da gadd vi ikke mase på dem mer. Men slike ting ødelegger helhetsinntrykket. Les mer

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in the summer. The staff were very nice and helpful. Because of the standard of the room, hallways, restaurant and reception area, the 4 stars is one star too much. I was expecting a much more modern standard when arriving to a 4-star hotel. We had breakfast included, which meant a choice of 3 different ways to eat […] breakfast. The first alternative was an ordinary breakfast buffet. I will not recommend the buffet because of all the flies in the restaurent area. They were everywhere on the fruits, bread, milk and juice. Disgusting! I would rather recommend the breakfast in bed which were alternative number 2 at no extra cost. There were no flies on the food tray, and the food was enough and tasteful. I did not try the third breakfast-alternative which was a cup of coffee and a piece of bread in the bar. If you do not have breakfast included I would recommend buying your breakfast elsewhere because of the high price of the breakfast. Location was nice because of the proximity to the metro. Nothing impressing about the rest of the neighborhood, just ordinary restaurants and boring streets. I would rather recommend a hotel in a place closer to for example the Notre Dame Church where the streets have ten times more atmosphere! Les mer

We stayed there for 5 nights.Lovely Hotel, shower &heating were great.Housekeeping do a fantastic job. Didnt like pillows.Celine at Reception was VERY HELPFUL & FRIENDLY, as was BREAKFAST STAFF.Lovely breakfast. Dupliex train station is across the road, though, we didnt need it.There is a market out front on Wednesday & Sunday which is well worth the […] look, but mostly veg,fish,fruit,veg, but you can get some bargains with gifts.It is a few minutes walk to Effiel Tower & to catch the bus for the tours which l highly recommened.If you plan on a visit to tour the Eiffel Tower, do it on week day & early, not on weekend as it is too busy. I recommened catch the bus tour to Disneyland, & see the 2 parks. Fantastic Place.Do the Bus Tour which takes you to the Major Places, but do it early, approx 9.30 if you want to stop at all the stops.The Dupliex Cafe which is next to the Hotel is highly recommened, lovely staff. Taking into account the differences in cultures between the US and Europe we found this hotel to be very suitable for the price. The staff were very pleasant, the room small but very clean, and the breakfast was outstanding. If you are looking for a moderately priced hotel close to everything, this is a good place to stay. Also as a bonus, on Sundays […] and Wednesdays there is a city market right across the street that is wonderful and gave us a true Parisian experience that we were not expecting. Les mer

The hotel was first of all easily accessible via public transport (metro) from the airport (approx 1hr with one change- €18). Then during our stay was friendly and clean and everything we needed for a couple of nights away. The locality of the public transport again became of great use allowing great ease to travel in and around the city. The top of Tour Eiffel showed over the neighbouring buildings. Hotel is in need of a makeover and could be great again. Carpets worn and decor out of date without having 'olde worlde charm'. Staff were OK but could do with being more observant of guests having problems. The lift needed the room card swiped to work. Without doing this you went to the […] floor where the lift was next called. Simple when you know. I observed other guests having this problem while the reception staff stood by unhelpfully. The room was very hot, so hot that we could not sleep. We called for help and a technician cam to the room, said he had switched off the heat and the temperature would stabilise. It did not happen. We had no air-conditioning , we opened the window and had the noise of the Metro, the traffic, people shouting and horrendous bright orange lights outside […] our window all night. We were told at Reception that the air-conditioning in the hotel was switched off as summer is over now. We had three nights like this. As we were leaving we were asked if we had enjoyed our stay and when we said the room was too hot, the Receptionist said they had had a problem but hoped it was now fixed. The service from the hotel staff was awesome. The women at the front desk went to the chocolate shop for me to pick up chocolate and wine for our honeymoon.....definately above and beyond!

TV wouldn't work even after the manager tried to fix it. No clock in room except TV. and since that didn't work, no clock either. Typical tiny French hotel rooms with cheap furnishings, and only one slow elevator for 6 floors. Good breakfast reasonably priced. Room service was very limited and only sporadically available. Great location with metro station […] right at the front door, Eiffell Tower visible from my hotel window and within easy walking distance, as was the filthy Seine River. Our expectations based on rating were higher than what we experienced. Hotel staff was wonderful! Hotel room was cramped, hotel is old and so is everything-the carpet, door keys (actual key), furniture, etc. Hotel is OK, but not above average. Within 6 blocks to Eiffel Tower and we could see it from our room (lights up at night). Lots of small restaurants/cafe's […] nearby. River just a couple blocks from hotel as well. 20 minutes cab/subway ride to all the museums. Probably won't stay there again but it wasn't terrible. Les mer

Good price and convenient location. Public transportation (train station) is directly across the street. It's about a 10 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and La Seine. There are a few non "touristy" cafes and restaurants nearby as well. They also offer free wifi. Although there are a lot of pros, it's not the most attractive hotel. Nice clean hotel very near Metro line 6. The hotel is well run and the people at the front desk always helpful. The room was made up beautifully every day. I would definitely book here again.

The hotel was ok. The air conditioner did not work very well in any of the three rooms we had. There was a vent from the mini fridge that blew hot air just as hard as the a/c. They said they checked it out but it never got better. Everything else was fine. We had a view of the Eiffel tower from our room.

It was about 15 minutes walk to Eiffel Tower. We arrived at the Tower at 9.30a.m. on a Saturday and the queue was a mile long then! Very convenient for the Metro. The room was very clean and comfortable but the shower holder was broken.

Room seemed bigger in the picture it is actually tiny. Service was average. Location was great. Hotel is dated. Bathroom shower head doesn't work. Airconditioner must have been kept at about 85 degrees.

Pros - Great location, metro station outside hotel, view of the Eiffel tower from the room window, free wi-fi from Orange works, although no Skype/video steaming, good service during late night. The hotel is located directly outside Dupleix metro station on line 6. I was concerned that the rooms may be noisy because of this (Dupleix is an over ground station) but we heard no noises at all. the area of the hotal is bustling with good restaurants and is only 15 minutes walk from the Eiffel Tower. We booked as a room only deal, and thought the […] breaksfasts were expensive, so walked 20 metres to Au Dernier Metro, where you could have a great breakfast at less than half the price. I'd say an above average hotel for Paris, with a great location. Walk to the Eiffel tower and some other attractions, plus you're literally across the street from a metro stop. Good bed, clean room, great location...

Hi we are very happy with the Mercure ParisTour Eiffel hotel all the employees were very helpful and they made our stay in Paris as comfortable as home, the room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel was close to most of the sight seeing such as Eiffel tower ets. We recommend the Hotel to any body who is going to Paris.

We thoroughly recommend this hotel.Just loved it. The location is directly opposite a train station & next to many cafes & restaurants.The good sized room had ensuite, coffe/tea making facilities and sheets were soft as silk. The price on Expedia was more than reasonable.Walking distance to the Eiffel tower, but best of all we requested a room with […] a view of the tower & were given it. We stayed at Mercure Tour Eiffel 4 years ago and loved it, so we decided to stay here again. I'm not sure if the management changed, but things were not the same. We reserved two rooms. When we arrived shortly after the check-in time, there was only 1 room available, so they told us to come back later, which was fine because we went out for sight-seeing. […] When we arrived later in the evening, they had given away our non-smoking room to another guest and gave us a smoking room that had a strong smoke smell. Luckily they were able to give us another room the following morning. The room was pretty clean, but not as spotless clean as it was 4 years ago. Also, the breakfast was not as good as I remember, but still decent. Very expensive: 19 euro per person. It's better to pick up a baguette and croissants from a nearby bakery/cafe. Moreover, the front desk staff were not as friendly as before, but they were still helpful. Overall it was a pleasant stay. The hotel is right across from the metro station, and there's an awesome street market by the metro station Wednesdays and Sundays. Les mer

This hotel had lots of charm, which is a big reason you come to visit Paris of course. Reasonable rates (when booked through hotels.com of course) and central proximity to the sights were what drew us to the hotel along with positive feedback from prior guests, and we were not disappointed. The staff was helpful and friendly, room accomodations were […] very nice, cleaned regularly, and we were able to enjoy the whole city with ease. One last thing to mention - there are TONS of restaurants, bakeries, small shops for fresh fruits, cheeses and wine. That was one part of this particular location we really enjoyed. This Mercure is located right across from a metro station, so all major sites in the city are easily accessible. It's a 15 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, the Invalide and the Seine. Hotel staff is extremely helpful. Didn't try the breakfast, so don't know if 20Euros for it was a fair price. This was our first visit to Paris and the hotel didn't let us down. We arrived by metro to the Dupleix station which was across the road from the hotel which was a relief as we arrived to 38C heat! The room was clean and air conditioned. The only criticism would be that the shower head holder was broken but we managed to work around this. The reception […] staff were friendly and spoke good English. The local area was nice and didn't feel too touristy, we really enjoyed the food at the Brasserie next door to the hotel and there was a great Patisserie on the road behind the hotel. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the Eiffel Tower and Seine. The metro is so cheap and reliable that we used this to go to sights further afield, so being opposite a station was great! If you are going to use the metro I would recommend buying a carnet of 10 tickets. As we all know the Exchange rate isn't great at the moment and we found Paris to be expensive in comparison to London but bearing this in mind we found our Hotel to be good value for money! Les mer

They do not have enough nonsmoking rooms. If you book a nonsmoking room, they will likely give you a smoked in room (even if they ensure you at the reception it is nonsmoking). It smells badly, and airconditioner does not always work, even if it makes noise. If you try to exchange it, they tell you that you already used the room because you... sat on […] on a bed, used the toilet (literally!!!), just touched something and they have a policy (!!!) that prevents them from exchanging the room which was already used. Avoid talking to the black woman at the reception about problems. It is like talking to a wall. However, all other stuff is friendly and tries to help. If you manage to get a good room (all floor 4 is nonsmoking), it is a pretty good hotel, good room size for Paris, and good location--right by a metro station, 15-20 min from the tower. Also: do not use the safe in the room. It lockes itself up. They will call a mechanic for the next morning (hopefully you do not need to leave earlier with your documents locked up). He shows up with his tools at 8 am, regardless either you are still in a bed ot not. He does not speak English. You can get around of all these problems and enjoy staying there or you can get stuck with them. It is 50/50, so take your chance. But they charge full 100% price: too much for such a chance. I try to ask for extra pillow it really took them three days to delivery. The phone is not working, also take three days to exchange another one. I try to make a call to U.S. hotel charge $18.00 and plus each minute charge $2.00 thats ripoff.
